Over the years, we’ve worked with UPDIVISION on a lot of different projects. We began with a UI/UX design project, our health tracking app, as we wanted to add a few new features. They also designed a similar app for us, which used wellness data tracked by users to give them useful recommendations on how to better their health. We then worked with them on a different app of ours, where we needed maintenance and new features to bring to our customers.

We also worked with UPDIVISION on a platform for hiring contractors. They helped us with Veriff and OpenAI integrations so users can check and validate the IDs and licenses of the contractors on the platform.

Lastly, they helped us build a GIS platform where you can upload stats to a map and see them as dots on said map, such as the number of earthquakes in a city, or analyze real estate econometrics.

We met up with UPDIVISION wishing to find a better way to track our promotion analytics, so that we can create better advertising campaigns in the future. We discussed the user flows and pages we need, and they started by doing the entire UI/UX design. They created a budget planner page - where we compare revenue, occupancy and average room prices from a year to another, we calculate campaign costs based on those and assumptions we make - a page where we can see daily stats, another to track occupancy per month, and a season configurator as we sell seasonal vacations. After the UI/UX design was done, they coded it using Vue.Js, Nuxt and Laravel.

After we worked together on the analytics platform, we hired UPDIVISION again to improve our backoffice platform’s UI/UX. This app required a few updates so we’d see data easier & quicker, so they re-arranged some buttons, introduced templating functionality, and created a way to make our tables slimmer and easier to read.

Since we’ve implemented our new analytics platform built by UPDIVISION, we’ve had a much easier time planning & evaluating our advertising strategy. There were no major issues during our collaboration. If anything, some smaller features could have benefited from a bit more clarification at the start to avoid minor revisions later on. In the initial phase of the project, we held detailed meetings with UPDIVISION to discuss our concept, in order to ensure they’re getting a good understanding of the more intricate aspects of our apps. After a brainstorming session, their designer built a new interface for our Pathfinder app, which helps research institutions and funding agencies create translational impact narratives for their projects. This app is built just like its name suggests - you can find the translational 'pathways' that research follows as it moves from basic, fundamental observation to final applications like theraputics or technical components. Once our feedback was implemented and the design was completed, UPDIVISION’s technical team coded the frontend part of the app.

Our second collaboration with UPDIVISION was another scientific app that we needed UI/UX and frontend code for. We wanted to build an app that brought together useful articles from the medical industry, and which helped professionals find news related to their specific field. Just like the first time, we sat down with UPDIVISION to discuss the scope of the project, the intended users and the most ideal user flows. Once they finished the design, they coded its frontend, making it a progressive web app that works seamlessly across different devices.

Delivered key new features to our game live streams. Leveraging their collaboration with PubNub’s live streaming chat tools, we hired them to enrich our gaming live streams through complex chat functionalities. After discussing the key features we needed, they created the UI/UX design for the new chat feature, and then they implemented it.

Our chat feature now includes reactions, replies, threads, themes, mentions, emojis, sharing, as well as the options to manage communities and create different group chats.

UPDIVISION handled the project management, frontend and backend development, testing, and deployment of our application. With their help, we developed a comprehensive solution that automates document reviews, ensuring the extracted data is consistent, reliable, and free from error. 

Realtors can upload through simple drag & drop condo and strata documents, select the categories that should be included in the analysis, add custom questions, and have the AI identify and compile just the right information into a full report. Realtors can then share these reports via a link with clients to help them get a better understanding of the property. UPDIVISION coded the application end-to-end, including the features for generating and sharing reports, Stripe payment integration, and an admin panel for managing users, reports, and invoices.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In just 6 months we launched a fully-functional application that allowed us to get early, in-depth feedback from users. Thanks to this, we were able to iterate quickly, roll out improvements, and work with UPDIVISION to refine and add features. The speed and quality of the initial release gave us confidence to move forward with larger-scale updates on which we worked with UPDIVISION for approximately a year. We feel the end product really stands out as an essential resource for real estate professionals, helping them provide clear, confident answers to client questions about strata and condo documents.

In the product discovery phase, we met with UPDIVISION to define the key features of the hotel management software and then we moved on to design. One of our priorities was to enable hospitality providers to customize booking rules for different dates and channels - a feature not included by similar software on the market. UPDIVISION provided UI/UX design and user stories for all the application screens and main features - dashboard, booking calendar, booking engine, channel manager, and AI assistant. 

Hospitality providers can easily view and manage bookings across all channels in a unified calendar view. They can update rates, adjust availability, and manage restrictions without going through complicated settings. With the help of the AI assistant, they can analyze booking trends, get rate optimization suggestions and apply suggested settings with one click. We wanted users to have access to as much booking data as possible, so UPDIVISION designed a modular dashboard, where users can easily add or remove widgets.

In addition to designing the back office, UPDIVSION also provided a few usability improvements for the front office booking platform. They also designed the presentation website for the hotel management software.

UPDIVISION did a great job taking a significant amount of complex specifications and turning them into an intuitive, easy-to-use UI. Hotel management systems have a steep learning curve due to their complexity, but UPDIVISION managed to distill everything into a clean, straightforward user experience. Once the software solution is launched, we feel it will make managing hotel operations less cumbersome for a lot of hospitality providers.

UPDIVISION handled the process of building our ecommerce platform end to end, from planning and project management to UX design, frontend development, backend development, testing and deployment. We initially had a kickoff meeting, where we explained our business workflows and discussed various ecommerce solutions. After some analysis, we decided on Magento for the back office, while the frontend was built using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

The platform needed not only to showcase our jewelry collections, but also to be easy to use for our customers. Some of the custom features include personalized promotions, payment integration with various providers, currency, language and location detection. Development lasted approximately one year and then we continued working with UPDIVISION several years for maintenance and support.

• The ecommerce played a key role in boosting our online visibility and the reach of our brand. It was a way for us not only to showcase our products, but also to tell our story: a brand which loves true, local traditions and which expresses this through meaningful jewelry design.

Providing a general roadmap of the project in the planning phase was especially helpful in getting a broad sense of the timeline.

While adequate for our needs in the past, the system we have been using for timesheets, reporting and invoicing needed a complete makeover, including usability improvements. Therefore, we hired UPDIVISION to build a modern, web-based application which would allow us to easily keep track of everything and manage valuable information such as client costs and employee efficiency reports.

We did a thorough online search and came up with a shortlist of several outsourcing development companies. We decided on UPDIVISION based on their experience in building complex web-based applications, particularly reporting tools.

In the initial phase we had several discovery meetings, where we discussed our internal processes and feature requirements for the application, like being able to add companies and contracts or being able to view user reports and generate invoices. Based on this, UPDIVISION provided wireframes and user flows. The application comes with a lot of data heavy tables and advanced filtering, so a good user experience was important for us.

Especially since this was going to be a tool we will be using a lot internally. After the discovery and project planning step, UPDIVISION handled the frontend and backend development. The application was built using PHP and Laravel for the backend and HTML, CSS and Angular for the frontend.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With the help of the timesheets and reporting tool we have access to a range of valuable information, including cost and performance aspects. This allows for better business decisions on our side and everything can be achieved in minutes, including generating reports, searching, filtering and exporting all the data we need.

We communicated primarily through email and meetings. The Project Manager sent us regular updates on the progress, which we were also able to discuss during feedback sessions and then test it ourselves, once a feature was done. During project planning we were able to establish an overall timeline and testable milestones, so that also helped a lot in keeping the project on track.

UPDIVISION did a great job in understanding not only our business model, but also our day to day work. This is reflected in the application they built for us, which is very well mapped to our regular workflows. I am the founder and CTO of a company specializing in software tools for developers. This includes production-ready admin templates and boilerplate code packages which make development easier and help development teams launch faster. Our seed projects are crafted on top of modern UI kits using various technologies like Django, Flask, Node, Laravel, so it's really easy to use them as blueprints for custom applications.

In the discovery phase, we had a few meetings with their developer to discuss the best technical approach and core features. The goal of the Laravel API Server tool, once finished, was to power several of our dashboard and admin panel solutions. The Laravel API Server tool comes with JWT authentication and SQLite persistence, as well as a unified API structure, which is consistent throughout all our full-stack tools, regardless of UI or backend technology.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

UPDIVISION was key in building the Laravel API Server tool and getting it up and running. They delivered quality work and solid code. This allowed us to expand our portfolio with several other starter tools powered by the Laravel API Server, including a full-stack React Laravel seed project.
