I'm a procurement officer for an IT company. We supply everything from IP networks to cameras and CCTV equipment.

We've partnered with Turrito Networks to supply the equipment we sell to our clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Turrito Networks sells a type of computer that we sell to our schools. We give them specifications for the product's physical size, performance, and security requirements, and they advise us on the type of equipment that would best suit our clients' requirements.

Turrito Networks supplies us with small, specialized PCs that can be mounted onto monitors in schools. The devices hold all the necessary educational packages that students need to learn. We do our installations, but they set them up for us so that we can plug and play and get our customers up and running. 

The Turrito Networks team also handles maintenance requests, so when a product is broken, we take it in for them to service it for us. Additionally, they provide remote maintenance support, so they can log in to a unit and fix minor issues remotely. 

We're also discussing additional Fortinet services, which they'll likely install for us.

We've worked with Nadia, Geraldine, Alex, and a technical specialist.

How did you come to work with Turrito Networks?

We partnered with Turrito Networks because they're the only company that provides the type of product we need for our schools. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've purchased about $500,000 worth of products from Turrito Networks. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We're pleased with the units that Turrito Networks has supplied us. We've encountered the odd faulty unit, but they're usually older products, which is understandable. 

Turrito Networks has redesigned their products to mitigate daily wear and tear. We put the units in a safe at the end of each day and reinstall them the next morning to avoid stolen items. This back and forth initially caused some damage due to human error, and the team redesigned the casing, making it more rugged. We're impressed with how they've redesigned the product to better meet our needs.

How did Turrito Networks perform from a project management standpoint?

We have no problem with their project management practices. They're very responsive to our needs. We communicate via WhatsApp, phone, social media, and email. The team also has a web-based quotation system that we use. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Turrito Networks treats us with great respect and prioritizes us, which we appreciate. Last year, we ordered a batch of 45 units, and they went out of their way to prioritize our delivery, so we could avoid backorders, which was nice. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing they could improve on. Everyone makes mistakes, but we can call, and Turrito Networks will handle any issues.

I am the Group IT manager for Morecorp Pty Ltd, who are a leading retailer in the golf and cycling industry in Southern Africa.

Being partnered with Turrito over the years we knew we could find a solid solution for our new N1 City outlet. This included the movement/cancellation of two links at the old location, with precision planning to avoid double billing, and bring up two links in the new premises

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have been partnered with Turrito Networks for 5 years now, and we have had nothing but exceptional service from them, from providing solutions, through planning and projects to support. It was non-negotiable that we would select Turrito for this store too

We were launching our new mega store in N1 City, comprising of both a Pro Shop and Cycle Lab outlet under one roof. This was (and now is) to be the mega store any company would want. From the floor size, to the offerings in store, VIP area's etc. The plan was to ensure along with the best store, we needed the best service in place. We opted to go with our standard SD wan solution, with both supplier and medium redundancy. The team put forward a solution of 1x 100mb Seacom Fibre, and 1x 100mb Comsol wireless covering all our bases.

We had a solid team, the same team as always. Our Key accounts and sales person, the contact from projects, and as a last resort if it came to it, three others that would light some fire under the suppliers to get things moving

None that hasnt been noted over the years from Turrito Networks. Always putting their best foot forward.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As seamless as possible. The communication was always there, we had regular feedback and update on timelines

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to understand our requirements were impressive, at the same level as the company requesting it, they take all factors into consideration and provide solutions as a whole, not just throw a connection down on a quote and send it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None off the top of my head

I work as Chief of Staff in the CEO's Office and manage strategic projects, in addition to our IT department.

We wanted to derisk--we previously had 1 IT manager who "held the keys" to everything and nobody else could fix out network. We realized that we needed to derisk that key man dependency, and invest in our infrastructure and so decided to go with a managed service provider--and after doing due diligence, ended up partnering with Turrito.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We put out an RFP and various firms submitted expressions of interest. We wanted not just a company that could provide us strong IT management, but also one that was mission-aligned and understood our core mission and vision.

Turrito manages our full network. All of our wifi is managed through them, in addition we have 2 full-time technicians on site Monday-Friday. Any issues or work that needs to be done, they organize it and support us in upgrading our infrastructure.

We have two full time on site technicians; but we also have a back office that consists of 3/4 other people. The benefit in a company like Turrito is that if something doesn't work, they have someone who can help us.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have never had better IT infrastructure. Turrito has helped us save ~40-50k a month on wifi by getting out of a longstanding contract, and our helpdesk is providing strong support to the community.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very; we have open lines of communication--and have weekly pulse check meetings and monthly deep dives where we understand the trends with our network and environment.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They care! They aren't just an IT service provider; they are part of our community. They see our mission and vision and play their part in helping us achieve that mission!

None. everything is great.

We were referred to Turrito by our IT Equipment & Server Support Agents.

They set up and manage our VOIP Phones, 50MB Fiber Internet, 5MB Vlan, 20MB BB Microwave and Firewall. Great Technical support if there are any issues and a Great account Manager who makes sure the job gets done.

We worked with 2 Technical Specialist and 1 Technical Contact and 1 Account Manager

Great support when we need replacement devices. can work a bit on the turnaround time when it comes to technical issues on the VoIP system

Work was completed before I took over this position, but working with the new account manager is just a pleasure. Really comes through when we have requests

The Account manager Rosslyn and the team goes above and beyond to make sure we are helped to the end

I asked Turrito Networks to assist me in reducing the costs of our telephone system. I wanted to also have all this integrated into Microsoft Teams.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Turrito has been one of our suppliers, and i gave them the opportunity to quote on a solution to the problem I faced, and their quote was the best out of 3 quotes.

Turrito Networks made sure that all the documents I needed where in order, and ready for porting. The Projects team kept me updated with what was happening as each step was completed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is still ongoing. I'm impressed with their attention to detail.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

During the implementation of this project, I have Teams meetings with Rosslyn and go over the progress and outstanding items. This helps greatly so i can provide feedback to management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Rosslyn has been my single point of contact, and that works really well for me, as she has been key to sorting things out, and i only have to deal with one person.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not on this project. Things have been going smoothly. It would have been nice if the porting documents could have been a bit easier to fill out, but thats not their issue, its a Vodacom thing.
