Delivered a a custom mobile app. With following features below. 

• Users: Users can create multiple vehicle profiles including adding photos in their garage. Users can search and join events gaining access to event forums and person to person chat. Users can place joined events into there calendar to remind them of upcoming events. Users can access navigation to joined events from the app. 

In App user participant check in for Trophy Cloud users. Users can view event history of past attended events. Participants can vote for up to three vehicles per classification if the organization has enabled the "Participant Judge" feature. 

• Organizations: Organizations can enable “Participant Judge” feature that allows all participants the ability to vote for three vehicles in each classification for a hosted event. This includes participants that were manually registered. Organizations can select which classifications participants compete against during check in. 

Organizations can select either traditional judging with forms or ‘Best in Show’ decided by show participants. We call this feature “Participant Judge.” Or you can have both traditional judging and Participant Judge all in the same show event. Organizations can create Vehicle-Based Events including; date and time, location, description and number of available slots. Organizations can use forums to communicate important information to event participants and have Realtime dialog. 

Organizations can Open and Close registration effectively ending last minute unknown registrations. In App participant check in of Trophy Cloud users for Vehicle-Based Events. Organizations can create customized car show form and points scale or choose from any Trophy Cloud template. Organizations can create customized classifications that vehicles will complete against. 

• Organizations can create multiple show forms with different points scale and classifications for the same event: Rule is one show form to one classification. i.e. Cars, Bikes can each have their own show form and points scale. Invite or disinvite Trophy Cloud users to participate as Judges at your event. Messages sent via app or text message. 

Each judging form that’s submitted will be tallied from highest to lowest participant score in the Dashboard per classification. Report emailed to the Event purchaser after the Event.

I was assigned a project manager (Akshay). Akshay is very knowledgeable and my projects were managed in agile. Features were developed, tested and delivered on time for final testing and approval by me. Akshay was very responsive and usually contacted me by his next business day.

TriState Technology LLP has consistently assigned dedicated, knowledgeable resources to my project. Once a project has completed, the team still keeps in contact. For what projects/services did your company hire TriState Technology LLP?

Our website had become outdated and no longer reflected our services and value proposition. We hired Tristate to redevelop our website with a new design and refreshed content.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose this vendor because of their industry experience, expertise and other work they have completed.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We spoke with Tristate earlier in 2020 to figure out the best way to go about redeveloping our website. At this time our company were not yet ready to develop the new website as we were still working on creating our new content. At this time Tristate put together a proposal of what would be involved and what kind of time frames would apply once we were ready to develop as well as some design ideas.

Once we were ready with our new content, in December 2020 we gave Tristate the site map and content to be placed on the site. They developed the website within a few weeks. Over the next few months we worked closely with Tristate to make ongoing changes to our website, before it went live - they were very accommodating to our requests to make changes and very helpful throughout the project.

A development team worked on developing the website. We worked directly with an account manager, all of our feedback and all of the development updates were passed on through our account managers Kamesh and then Anjani, who were extremely helpful.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our website now reflects our business and what we do, we are excited to see how this improves our overall marketing objectives.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The account manager was very helpful, we spoke regularly on Slack and we were kept updated throughout the project. Anjani has been helpful in assisting with any queries even since the final site was delivered.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated that they were very patient with us while we came up to speed and created our content. They developed the site quickly once we gave sign-off. They were accommodating with making any changes we wanted to make.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We really like the look and feel of our new website!

I am a graphic designer for a consumer goods company but hired Tristate as an individual.

I had an idea for a social networking app for several years. I created a mockup and then searched online for a developer that could create the app within my budget.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to have a mobile app be developed for Google and IOS that was free for users but could still be monetized through ads.

How did you select TriState Technology LLP?

I initially went through other developers, but I kept running into hurdles. I almost gave up on trying to find a new developer but then I gave it one last shot. I made a post on Upwork about my application development request and Tristate was one of about ten developers that applied for the task.

After seeing the wonderful reviews, looking through their other projects, messaging about details of their process and budget estimation, and speaking on the phone with one of the employees, I decided to hire them.

Tristate signed an NDA, I sent over my mockup (an Adobe XD file), and they gave me a proposal/milestone document to sign This document outlined the features and phases that Tristate would implement.

We agreed that the app would be hybrid (flutter), it would be developed for both Android and IOS, I'd have to lose a couple of the features to fit my budget, I would keep the source code, and they would supply three months of maintenance after the app was uploaded to the play store and app store.

They had me send over some ideas for UI inspiration, and I provided the logo and the content. The team designed all the UI and made everything functional. I purchased a domain/ host and set up the website to complement the app and created several accounts that were needed for the creation of the app. We communicated through Basecamp.

They would send me links to the app there, they would answer any of my questions and concerns, and I would send a payment after each of the four milestones were completed.

What was the team composition?

I initially spoke with a sales manager (Jay) and he introduced me to everyone else I'd be working with. I was introduced to the CEO (Pragnesh) and two people that would be managing my project (Felcita and Hemant). I also was in communication with Hemali, the account manager. She emailed me the invoices after each milestone.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I've yet to market my app and so I don't have new users yet, but so far, the app has been approved by Google Play Store and IOS App Store, and it's functioning well for me. I think the app looks great, has the most important features I want, and it's easy to use!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I was very impressed by the professionalism and accommodation of the team I worked with. Despite us being located on opposite ends of the world (they're from India, I'm from the US), the team would reply to me as soon as they could, they would give me clear answers, and they were super courteous!

I was also impressed at how many of my changes they went through without ever complaining. They have truly been a wonderful team to work and communicate with.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed with how compassionate they were while being professional at the same time. If I wasn't sure about something, they would help me make a decision. If I had changes even after I thought it would be too late to make the change, they would still make it work.

They were remarkable! And they would say little things like "hope you had a good weekend" or wished me a happy holiday, which really made for a pleasant experience.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There were a few times where the team had issues logging into certain accounts because of two-factor authorization.

They would ask for my code but it took several codes/ different types of attempts before it would work. It was probably more frustrating for them than it was for me (I just felt bad that it wasn't working). Not sure if there's any way to work around that, but that's something that can possibly be looked into.

I am the CEO of a Software Consulting company building African focused digital products. However we have recently started testing consumer products in the onset of the pandemic.

With the increasing isolation people were experiencing following the government lockdown policies and its impact on social lives, we wanted to create an engagement platform for millennials who were used to meeting up socially to interact. However because of other priority projects underway, we needed a trusted partner who can reliably and over a short period develop a platform to solve the problem. We had worked with Tristate in the past so we didn't hesitate when we decided to outsource this piece of work.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to develop a prototype for the market we were interested in and also to capture the imagination of our investors by showcasing the opportunities in the space.

How did you select TriState Technology LLP?

Like I said before, we had worked on a few projects in the past and their work was exceptional. It was obvious once we decided to outsource this piece of work that we had to call upon our trusted software development partner.

Once we confirmed the vendor, we had a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. Within a week we received mockups and initial designs fo the Android App. Following a few iterations and discussions with our team we agreed on the designs.

Wireframes were quickly generated and the concepts as agreed were captured with a few changes. Milestones were agreed to deliver the project in chunks. At the end of each milestone, tests were executed and findings submitted for review.

The feedback from the tests formed part of the subsequent milestones. In some cases the changes had to be approved and signed off before the commencement of the subsequent milestone.

The team consists of a project manager, UX/UI designer, 2 QA resources, a backend and a frontend developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are yet to launch the app to the public but our beta testers are reporting good experiences and we have since received positive feedback from them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The use of a collaboration and messaging tool was very effective in making sure we had open and responsive communication across the team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their technical knowledge was rich and they were quick to pick up new tech stacks and apply to the project without delaying the project unnecessarily. Communication was rapid and we enjoyed the daily catchup on the messaging tool we used.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Of course we would have loved to see everything done twice as fast but we were satisfied with the quality which was of utmost importance to us than speed.

TriState Technology built our platform using Flutter. It’s a mobile platform for iOS and Android. We provided designs, and they developed the front- and backend of the entire MVP. After explaining the platform’s basic functionalities, they suggested and complemented our ideas in the development process.

I found them through internet research. In fact, I came upon their Clutch profile and it helped me out too. After researching and speaking to many companies, we decided to go with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership began in September 2018. The MVP was completed in January 2020. However, the engagement is ongoing because we’re still working and communicating with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

TriState Technology has been great at providing constant communication throughout this whole process. We have a great process of reviewing milestones and certifying their work. After they sent the first project milestone, we held a discussion, they made needed changes, and then we approved them.

How did TriState Technology LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management skills are excellent. Communication between our teams has been great, especially considering we’re in different time zones. They’re always ready and open to communicate with us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

TriState Technology’s professionalism is their most impressive quality. In addition to that, the technology learning curve was tricky for us, but they’ve been great at being patient and explaining everything. Their team helps us understand the process step-by-step.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at the moment. I have no complaints.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their process is straightforward so you shouldn’t have any problems if you clearly communicate your expectations. Approach them with your main idea, and then they’ll be up for establishing pricing and timetables. I totally recommend them.

I’m the CEO and founder of a mobile payments company.

What challenge were you trying to address with TriState Technology LLP?

We needed an outsourced mobile app developer.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TriState Technology LLP built a cross-platform native app with a backend server component that links across APIs, including point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment networks like Stripe. 

I provided their team with all the wireframes, user stories, flows, and sample API codes. Using that material, TriState Technology LLP developed a MEAN stack solution on the backend and linked it to an iOS and Android frontend. That allows syncing between the POS and the payment platform. 

We worked together for several phases, including a lightweight MVP, a fully integrated model, and additional POS integration.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 3–4 people depending on the project phase, including their business development rep to set up the project, their PM to manage the project, a few backend engineers, and some graphics people and illustrators to design the screens.

How did you come to work with TriState Technology LLP?

I found them through Upwork. I have a few friends who work in the tech space who helped me screen candidates. TriState Technology LLP passed every test perfectly and asked questions that indicated that they had a firm grasp on the project from a technical and business standpoint. They also had a very competitive rate.

We’ve spent about $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project kicked off in October 2018 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everyone loves the app. From the consumer side, everything looks great, and we’ve seen thousands of users. From an operational perspective, it’s been working well since we worked out the kinks. It’s been a long journey, but we now have a solid foundation to build upon the app going forward.

How did TriState Technology LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve done things very well. As the project manager, I share Trello boards with their team to manage sprints. Once we set expectations and tasks, they’ve been able to deliver on their end without issue.

We do have to navigate time zone differences with our twice-daily check-ins, but our communication is generally as needed (over Skype). They’ll send me deliverables when necessary and ask questions if I don’t give enough context at first.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their graphics and layout have impressed me: they’re very slick and modern. I also appreciate that TriState Technology LLP asks the right questions about how the app will work for specific scenarios. They think about our product from both a technical and a business perspective, with the end user in mind. Their conscientiousness makes a difference.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d appreciate more structure in our communication, especially the formatting. Sometimes, we do experience a language barrier, but that’s not unique to TriState Technology LLP. Sometimes, their speed can be better, but they’re not a 24/7 firm so their turnaround is reasonable. Recently, they came through on a last-minute integration against a tight timeline. I commend them for being able to meet that deadline.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Definitely come prepared with your user flow and some screens. It depends on how technical you are, but the more you can bring to the table, the easier it’ll be for them to translate your vision into an executable app.

Once we selected them, we met and clarified all the details of the design and workflow. We shared our ideas about design elements and user navigation before they started work on the app and a logo for it. They updated us constantly and allowed us to test the app before launch. Once we were happy with the result, they uploaded it to the iOS and Android app stores. Since this was our first app, they walked us through the whole process.

I worked with a project leader, who was a pleasure to work with. They were very responsive and patient. I'm not sure how big the rest of the team was.

I didn't always know where things stood during development, but I imagine that is to be expected. They were always timely and delivered a great looking app.

We began working together in December 2016 and the work is ongoing. They’re in the final stages of the app development, and they also provide continuing maintenance and upgrades.

We haven’t launched the app yet, so we don’t have any metrics to report, but I’ve always been satisfied with the quality of their work.

We communicated daily with the team and project manager through scrums, and their internal project management was impactful because they delivered all of their work on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Like with every project, there were challenges but I was impressed with TriState Technology’s drive and determination. They work very hard to deliver everything we ask for and are very communicative, which is helpful considering the time difference.

Our business specializes in lighting systems; it’s owned by my husband and I help him manage things like the web app.

What challenge were you trying to address with TriState Technology?

We needed to build an interactive web app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created an app that allows users to control all their lights through their mobile devices or computers. Users can configure all the lights they have available for a particular building. After that, they can see all the rooms of the house on the platform, and they can see all the lights in a particular room, both the ceiling-mounted ones and the ones that are plugged in. Each light can be turned on or off and dimmed with a slider. Users can also create a variety of lighting scenes through the app, including automated coming on or off at specified times.

What is the team composition?

I personally worked with two people from their team.

How did you come to work with TriState Technology?

They were recommended by our engineers. We found them, then asked them about a partner that could build the app for it. Their companies had worked together before, so they were able to recommend them as a competent partner.

What is the status of this engagement?

My husband asked me to step in around February 2018, when enough of the work was completed to start testing. The project had started a couple of months earlier. We’re now in the very final stage and are fine-tuning the app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

TriState has delivered on time with good quality product as per scope of the project. Presently, we are doing extensive testing with different different use cases and combinations with hardware and software. During testing, we found some problems/ issues in special situations including realtime action perform in some scenarios. TriState worked on every single problem I identified, which I really liked about them. As I was testing it, I would notice things like a certain page that would take a long time to load, which they'd quickly address.

They also worked on small things that no one would even notice, like to even out the distance between buttons. Never did they say “We’re not here to do little things like that.” They worked like an ideal company would.

It’s rare to find a company that won’t make you irritated or regretful. This is a new engagement and we don’t know if we’re going to have a return on our investment, but TriState gave us a really good experience.

How did TriState Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed great and I have no complaints. We spoke quite often, every 2–3 days, or at least once a week. They also worked closely with our engineers. We’ve worked on similar projects with other companies and some of them took a long time to make fixes. In comparison, TriState fixed problems pretty quick, only requiring two or three days on average.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their response time was really good and enabled us to move quickly. They were accommodating in working with me in the way that I wanted it to be done. I don’t have time to create Word documents, make screenshots, make an official report, and forward it to them; I would just record little bugs with an iPhone app and send it to them on Skype. They created the actual reports and wrote their feedback.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m usually a critical and direct person, but I can’t think of anything negative.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

A general piece of advice is for clients to review the provider’s past work and competence. This is true for any type of collaboration: we don’t want to give our business to someone who’s never worked on similar things before.

We were confident that TriState could deliver the product because they were recommended by our engineers, who’d collaborated with the team before. I never felt that our time was being wasted.
