From scratch, Tintash built for us a comprehensive platform called The Gamerize Dictionary, which is comprised of an exciting game app for children, connected to school dashboards, a content management system and multiple external APIs. Tintash had all of the resources we needed for backend deveopment, mobile game development, frontend development for the portals as well as art and sound design. 

The results have been amazing. I have not seen a more well executed learning resourse for children yet. Tintash has also been able to give us quality consulting along the way as we have continued to develope new features in the program.

Tintash was hired to take a partially built beta game and create a fully workable beta 1.0 game that matched the aligned with classroom curriculum.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This vendor was selected through an industry referral. They came highly recommended for both depth of knowledge and professionalism. There is always a risk when migrating an existing game to a new developer. Tintash handled this project with care and ease. I could not be happier with the experience and product.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We migrated a partially completed mobile gaming system and asked their engineers to complete the build. They managed the development and art team, sourced needed personnel, and provided an excellent project manager who patiently walked everyone through each step to completion. The game is currently under beta testing and we are receiving great feedback.

I’m the head of product and design at an online interior design company. We offer design services to customers and a platform for interior designers to collaborate with their clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tintash?

We saw a need from the interior design community for an easy-to-use tool to create 3D renderings for their clients. Our goal was to see if we could do something new and innovative in that space to give our interior designers and customers ways to visualize their homes. We hired Tintash to help us with R&D and innovation projects in the 3D rendering and modeling space.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tintash helped us develop a 3D rendering desktop application. They custom-built the app from the ground up to offer high-quality rendering capabilities for interior designers regardless of their skill set. We initially provided them with a brief and worked closely with them throughout the development process. 

The team built the custom modeling and rendering pipeline to help provide assets and final 3D renderings. The app’s feature list enables users to create floor plans in a 3D-rendered space and then drag and drop 3D models of various furniture and home decor items. Users can also add architectural elements, such as doors and windows. They can then export renderings with photo-realistic quality by setting up camera positions. 

Tintash built the app on Unity using the gaming engine. Initially, they used PHP for the backend but then updated it to Python and Django. The team used React for the frontend, Autodesk 3ds Max for the 3D tool, V-Ray for the rendering engine, and Jenkins for automation. They also offered maintenance for the app, and we worked together to provide the hosting services. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with many teammates from Tintash during our five-year engagement, including project managers, engineering managers, front- and backend engineers, and 3D modeling and rendering resources. 

How did you come to work with Tintash?

We found them through a referral; a former colleague sourced Tintash. Although I wasn’t part of the initial selection process, I believe our company chose them due to their expertise in the gaming industry and 3D in particular. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $1 million–$5 million. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from March 2017–October 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Because this project was in the R&D space for us, being able to pilot the new tools with a few of our user groups was a big measure of success for us. We piloted the app with our interior designer community, customers, and retail partners. Delivering high-quality room rendering improved our customers' overall experience. 

Tintash was a wonderful partner and super easy to work with. We treated them as an extension of our team and worked closely together rather than just giving them a brief and seeing what they would do. Whenever a new need arose, they accommodated us and molded the team to those needs. Moreover, they were always super available and great thought partners.

How did Tintash perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered items on time and stayed within the budget. We primarily communicated through video calls, and we also used email and Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What we loved the most about working with Tintash was their collaborative nature. When working with contracted teams, it's easy to feel like we're getting what we asked for and nothing more. Meanwhile, Tintash became a truly innovative thought partner; they didn't just do what we asked for but also helped us conceive new technologies and tools to build. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We never had to ask them to improve anything; they met every expectation we put out for them. Overall, we were really happy with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Use Tintash! I'd also advise making use of their skill and dedication. Sometimes, people treat contracted engineering teams as a get-it-done resource, but Tintash is a great thought partner, communicator, and thinker, so work with them as much as possible.

I'm the VPE at a company changing the Career Education industry with a cutting edge SaaS Platform for vocational-focused training businesses. Our products support C-Level leaders and their organizations to increase revenue and maintain compliance.

Having a small, in-house team of serverless engineers responsible for building out custom ETL for 3rd party system imports/exports, our capacity was limited. The business needed more velocity to unlock sales in the pipeline so I looked to a cost-effective offshore solution.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I put out an RFP, received proposals from 10 vendors, culled to three, and chose Tintash because of:

1. cost-competitiveness and
2. a familiarity with their engineering excellence, having utilized them at a previous company.

Though we internally had tackled such projects, our documentation and project plans were sparse, but the Tintash teams proved gritty and resilient in taking what we had and running with it. Initially I provided a simplistic, base project template with Use Cases. As work progressed, we've refined the project plan template and involved internal EM and PM resources to continually improve processes and collaboration. The bulk of the work has been done in JavaScript for AWS Lambdas, moving some legacy code into TypeScript in tandem with the initiatives of the engineering org.

At first there was a senior engineer along with a junior engineer. At the height of full ramp-up, there were two teams, each with 1-2 junior engineers, led by a senior engineer, with technical project management support.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The key outcome has been the unlocking of multiple six-figure revenue-generating opportunities in our pipeline that were previously blocked because Engineering simply didn't have capacity to pursue. Deliverables were provided on time or ahead of schedule and all have been impressed by the quality of code as well as professionalism exhibited by all team members, especially the Lead, Moiz Imran.

We conducted project planning and management using ClickUp with a three-phased approach: requirements gathering, implementation, and maintenance.

We interviewed several vendors but enjoyed our conversations with Tintash. They communicated well and were incredibly proactive about supporting us.

We've been working with a a front end engineer from Tintash for 6+ months at this point and have been incredibly happy with his performance and

Tintash's service. As a company, they check in frequently, communicate well, and provide great engineers. Our experience with our engineer has been phenomenal. Communicates proactively, learns quickly, and has a bias towards action. Plan to continue working with Tintash for a long time and would definitely recommend to anyone needing some extra engineering muscle.

The engineer we've been working with has become a core part of our development team. He ships new features and improves his code quality every day.

They have quality engineering, great communication, and are very committed to the project. Not just execution focused either, the engineer we work with cares deeply about the user too.

I’m a co-founder of a startup with my friend, who’s a hairdresser.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tintash?

My partner and I felt we had a really good idea, but neither of us are technical. We connected with Tintash, and they thought our idea was good, too.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tintash conducted research to see if there was anything similar to our app idea on the market. We found there wasn’t, so we started developing an MVP.

We’re developing an app that allows users to visualize different hair colors and styles virtually, before going to the hairdresser. They can also make appointments and have consultations through the app.

We’ve worked with Tintash throughout the process. My colleague is the one with hair coloring knowledge, and she worked with Tintash on warm colors, cold colors, and that type of thing.

The beta version of the app is live on the App Store.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one person during the initial phase and another during development. There were others around, but we’ve had two main points of contact.

How did you come to work with Tintash?

I met Mannan (Co-Founder) in Pakistan, and we kept in contact. He showed me some of their work, and I thought they’d be a good fit.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost so far is around $40,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Tintash in August 2020, and it’s ongoing. We had a different perspective when we started because we were thinking from a hairdresser’s standpoint. During the collaboration, we decided to do this project in several steps. We’ve finished the MVP, and our focus is now on getting customers. We’re planning to do some marketing and then raise money.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tintash has been really helpful, and we wouldn’t have managed to do this project without them. They understood what we were saying and did what we wanted to do, but they also told us when they thought that something wasn’t a good idea. They didn’t know anything about the hairdressing industry when we started, but they were quick learners. It’s been a good back and forth. 

I felt like they wanted to make the best app for us. I hope we’ll continue working together.

How did Tintash perform from a project management standpoint?

We have virtual meetings every week, and they’re really good to talk to. We haven’t had any language issues. We communicate via phone calls.

They’re good at managing deadlines, and they let us know if they need more time. As far as I remember, that only happened once; they were working on the coloring functionality, which was the hardest part of the app to build. It’s been a really good learning journey.

We had to wait a week or so in the beginning because they wanted to put together a certain team. We wanted to start right away, but I’m glad that we waited. It worked out really well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This was my first project of this kind, so it was really important to get the sense that they were telling me the truth. No matter who I talk to at Tintash, I always feel like we are on the same page.

Tintash seems to be a good firm that takes care of its employees. Their founder told me that they didn’t let anyone go during the pandemic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No — I’ve had an excellent experience with Tintash. I had the opportunity to work with other developers, but I chose not to.

I want to keep working with Tintash. We can discuss ideas together, and they put us down in a gentle way when we have a bad one. It’s important that they don’t say yes to everything we propose.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tintash developed an offline prototype, which essentially has the look and feel of the application we’re trying to launch. The team really helped us create and develop the user experience for the product.

We worked with about six people. Most of them were Unity engineers, primarily working on developing the games and the flow of the app.

How did you come to work with Tintash?

We used Clutch to compare and do research on a few different development firms that might be able to help us. We began our search around the onset of the pandemic, and Tintash was actually offering an additional discount. We decided to go with them because they were a highly rated development company and they were offering the discount.

We spent about $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place from July–September 2020. It was about six or seven weeks total.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Tintash did an excellent job with the quality they provided. They were very thorough and always made sure we had all of our bases covered. 

The team worked alongside us to help us figure out what kind of MVP we wanted to create. They provided their insights on what flows they believed would work best for achieving certain aspects of our UX. They even did some more research to help us figure out legalities we might face and other things like that. Tintash helped us tremendously.

How did Tintash perform from a project management standpoint?

They were pretty good. We met about twice a week, once to plan out what would be done that week, and the other to review what was done over the week. The team had good, open communication about what could be accomplished and what would have to wait. 

The team used detailed Jira boards to plan the project out, breaking down which features would be completed during which sprints. It was a good, thorough breakdown.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with the speed at which they got the work done. We were able to basically develop a nice looking, modern-designed app in a two-month time span, from the initial flows and designs all the way through. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

The only challenge that we had was that we’re in different time zones, we had to change when we were communicating, but that wasn’t a big issue.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you’re very clear on your vision. Being very specific with what you want will make the relationship with Tintash a lot easier because they won’t have to do any interpretation.

I hired Tintash to build our mobile app and update our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tintash built the cross-platform app from scratch. I didn’t have wireframes, just a general idea of what I wanted the app to do and look like. They helped me break down how we would achieve those goals, starting with the discovery phase, which led to mockups and finally, production. The app is built for both iOS and Android. 

As far as the website, Tintash mainly just gave it a facelift. There’s not a lot of high-level functionality, it’s more just to highlight and promote our app. 

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact was our project manager Sajjad (Senior Software Engineer), and once we got into production, there were at least four other staff members on our calls. Beyond that, they may have had some others working in the background.

How did you come to work with Tintash?

I did some initial research online, and came across Tintash. After narrowing down my choices to four, I had some calls and received proposals, making my decision based on that. They weren’t the cheapest, but I knew early on they were my favorite choice.

We’ve spent about $53,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since July 2020. The apps are scheduled to go live in about a week.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The app hasn’t been released yet, so I don’t have any metrics or results. I’ve been able to share it with my team, friends, and family, and the feedback has been great. Everyone’s been very pleased with the look and feel as well as the functionality of the app.

How did Tintash perform from a project management standpoint?

They were phenomenal. Sajjad did a great job leading the team. They were excellent at taking my thoughts, ideas, and concepts, and filling in the gaps. As someone who’s not tech-savvy, it was great that they were able to come up with solutions to get me to the end result. 

We kept in touch through email regularly, as well as a weekly conference call on Google Meet, where we discussed progress, updates, and questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When I was deciding who to partner with, it was clear they listened well and understood what I wanted. Tintash just gets it. They could conceptualize my thoughts and build a roadmap to get me to my desired results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

On the design side, I think I would prefer more sleek, sophisticated designs.
