**Feedback Summary**: Thompson & Prince's work received positive feedback for its design, responsiveness, and functionality. The team communicated clearly and constantly throughout, allowing for a seamless workflow. Their valuable design recommendations and strong understanding of the client's vision stood out.
""They struck a very strong balance between our vision and their recommendations.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder of sooth, a strategic marketing consultancy that launched in January, 2023.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince, and what were your goals?

I hired Thompson & Prince to build the initial website for my new company, and have since engaged him on two additional scopes to build out the site further. The goal was to have an engaging site that tells the most complete story possible for a brand new entity - and now that we are starting to build our business and gain more attention, Chris and team are working with us to expand the site and its capabilities.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed three ppliers, but felt like T&P represented the best balance of quality, speed and cost effectiveness.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

T&P built a webflow site for us, from front to back. We went from initial briefing to launch in about seven weeks with a steady flow of updates as we went along -- as we were literally creating our business model day by day based on development and protection of our IP. We did not make it easy, and they delivered.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We only dealt with Chris, although we know there were others involved behind the scenes.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

No results to report yet, but we've gotten consistently positive feedback on the clarity, design and responsiveness of the site.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

They communicated with us mainly through cloud-based apps/docs, which proved to be very efficient.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They struck a very strong balance between our vision and their recommendations at every stage of design and development. And they communicated well and proactively throughout.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Working in Google docs as the primary means of communication may not be for everyone, but ultimately it worked out really well.

We had a very short deadline to produce a respectable website ahead of a public announcement.

""Their ability to create great-looking slides was impressive in the workflow.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

Cornerstone Global Management, Inc. is a fintech company geared towards bringing cryptocurrency mass adoption globally.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

We needed a quality investor pitch deck done in an expedient manner, combining our multiple services in a way that showed their uniqueness but ability to also work together, to allow for the best picture of what an investor would be participating with when putting money towards our company.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Thompson & Prince and what were the deciding factors?

They were referred to us. The individuals that referred him were our key to hiring them.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We just acquired a company and wanted to show our diversity in offerings in the deck. It was a bit confusing because our company name is not shown in either of the two services we provide, so Chris and his team had to be able to provide clarity to an otherwise potentially confusing investor pitch deck.

How many resources from the Thompson & Prince team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Essentially Chris headed the work from their end, and had an additional person on his team help with some aspects of the design, etc.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've had nothing but positive feedback on the design and layout of the slides.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was effective once we were able to successfully understand how a proper pitch deck was supposed to look. Chris helped with that as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to create great-looking slides was impressive in the workflow.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

The team demonstrated exemplary patience in managing the workflow and interfacing with the in-house team. Above all, they impressively over-delivered and flexibly worked.
""The process was detailed and efficient.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the CFO of a multifamily focused flooring business in the Sun Belt.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

We needed a full rebrand, from name to logo to website.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Recommendations from other companies who had used T&P.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

It began with a collaboration process on the name of the company taking into account what we wanted to keep, emphasize, and capture. The process was detailed and efficient.

From there, we used the chosen name and use a similarly effective process for the logo, keeping intact what part of our previous brand was important while evolving the fuller logo into a more modern look. After that, the T&P team tackled the website design and launch in consultation with the company.

What was the team composition?

Alongside our lead IT person, we worked closely with Chris, who managed his team of designers and developers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have received very positive feedback from our customer base, while potential M&A targets have been pleased to see our vision and what they would be joining.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was highly effective on their part, both showing patience with our limited team while appropriately pushing us when necessary.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Beyond the final work product, which is spectacular, T&P did an excellent job of adapting to our company and our work style while still getting the final work product done on time.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

No.

**The Review** — Sep 20, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Thompson & Prince, the client has achieved a level of consistency when it comes to their branding and image. The internal stakeholders were particularly impressed with their exceptional service and responsive approach to project management.
""They remained professional and gave us the attention we needed to achieve our goals.""

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of corporate finance of a financial startup.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

With our company being in its early stages, we haven’t been able to focus and build our internal design capabilities. We have a background in consulting so a lot of our materials are dry and simple, so we wanted to incorporate our branding into our materials.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

What Thompson & Prince did was provide us with branding and design consultation, specifically for templates to use and distribute within the company, so we can generate internal and external presentations. This enables us to have consistency within the organization and represent our brand the way our marketing team intended.

During our partnership, we’ve also talked about our goals, reviewed existing materials, and iterated some of the items in our brand guidelines.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was Chris (Founder & CEO).

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I actually went to business school with Chris, and I called them to set up this consultancy. We talked about the different ways they could provide value for us, and we designed the project in a way that made sense for both companies.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our partnership ran from July–August 2021.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The biggest thing that we’re seeing from their work is the consistency it provides us. They helped enable our team to produce well-designed materials, so we can focus on the content rather than the design.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicated through phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their level of service and responsiveness. This wasn’t the biggest project for them, but they remained professional and gave us the attention we needed to achieve our goals.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. It was a fairly straightforward project so I don’t have anything to say in terms of improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to be prepared going in and make sure you have an idea of what you want. This is so you can get the most of out the engagement.

**The Review** — Mar 19, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to Thompson & Prince's efforts, the general response for the logo they created was positive. The team was timely, and they always integrated the client's feedback into their work. Transparent and quick, they collaborated closely with the company to ensure successful engagement.
""I never felt unsure of where we were in the process, and I was confident that we would be moving at a good clip."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an operations lead for an angel investing group where a group of alumni comes together to invest in startup ventures.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We hired Thompson & Prince to help us construct our visual brand identity.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

To develop our brand identity, the team started with creating our logo. Thompson & Prince initially checked what we wanted to get out of the logo and the vision that we had for it. They took our inputs into consideration and then they worked with us to refine a series of possible logos. Once we narrowed it down to a few, we selected one and underwent a couple of rounds of revision.

The same process happened again when Thompson & Prince created a one-pager describing the purpose of our organization. They also helped us construct a PowerPoint template that we could use for our future deliverables. Overall, their services circled around developing a style guide and visual identity for us.

What is the team composition?

Chris (Founder & CEO) was the only person I directly interacted with.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

They were a referral from a colleague who had worked with them in the past. That person said they did great work and I put a lot of weight on that experience when evaluating whether we’d work with the team. I also had an explanatory call with Chris, and it was very clear that he was an expert at what he did. Most importantly, their pricing was competitive too.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $2,000–$3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Thompson & Prince from January–February 2021. The project lasted six weeks.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We didn’t market test the logos, so I’d say we measured the team’s success by the feedback from the advisory council of our group — they had positive responses on all the logo options that Thompson & Prince presented.

Chris and his team delivered right in line with what our internal team was expecting, and the revision process went smoothly. Overall, I’d say everybody was happy with the results, and we didn’t receive any negative comments about it.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

Chris was great, and he was quick to respond to everything. He also made our interactions easy because we only communicated with him.

Additionally, teamwise, Thompson & Prince speedily incorporated all of our feedback. I never felt unsure of where we were in the process, and I was confident that we would be moving at a good clip.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was really impressed that they exceeded the number of logo options that they were supposed to do. The team got excited about the project and presented a lot of creative ideas to us.

Moreover, Thompson & Prince was very transparent in the way they interacted. They always asked our opinions for everything, and that made us feel like we were part of the creative process. Overall, they went above and beyond during our collaboration.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was my first relationship with a design vendor, so I don’t have anyone to compare them with. However, there was nothing that I felt was missing during our engagement since they delivered our requirements excellently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure your internal team is engaged from the start because Thompson & Prince is great about starting an interest survey that can help during the process. That way, there’ll be no crossed wires or mismatched expectations once the deliverables are done.

**The Review** — Mar 4, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: Thompson & Prince's work led to a significant improvement in the client's website analytics. Page visitors jumped ten times the previous number, while visitor length of stay was doubled. The team was accommodating, observant, and insightful. Overall, it was a successful engagement.
""This is a great team! Very helpful for early and mid-stage startups like us."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder and CTO of Rah Rah, which builds a mobile application for universities to connect their students with all of their student life offerings.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince, and what were your goals?

We needed to redo our company's main website (www.rahrahlife.com) with designs we had loosely outlined. We engaged Thompson & Prince to help us bring those designs into reality and then implement them on our instance of WordPress.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Thompson & Prince and what were the deciding factors?

Price, ease of working with Chris and his team, quality of their past work and eagerness to support us in anyway they could.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project was to take designs that we had come up with, help us find a Wordpress template to implement them on, and then implement them. Additionally, they were to provide us with documentation for us to managed incremental site updates after the project had completed.

We met a few times to gather requirements, then Chris took those back, developed a POC for us that we signed-off on, then developed it and implemented it.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

2 people from the vendor's team worked with me: Chris Gorges and his developer Clara. Chris acted as the project manager with Clara doing much of the work in Wordpress.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The impact of their work can be seen in our page visit analytics. Page visitors are up by 10x, they are staying for more than 2x the time, and overall we are getting many one-off complements from friends and colleagues.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Chris was incredibly accommodating as we had to reset our requirements a couple times after kicking off. We were up front in that we were novices when it came to projects like this, and he was able to support us all the way. Most of the communication was done through email, with a test webpage set-up for us to review their POC.

This was acceptable for us because the scope of the project wasn't too huge. Chris is a seasoned professional at this and had walked us through that his management tools and process would be right-sized for the job. We felt that was the case and it was very successful in our eyes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the well-roundedness and quality of skill of Chris and his team. There were many times were Chris brought items to our attention both within and out of the scope of the work, they were alway valuable observations and insights. Additionally, the quality of the design work that we didn't end up using was very very high.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nope! Keep up the great work.

**The Review** — Nov 16, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: Thompson & Prince were successful in providing the stakeholders with a valuable asset to lead their marketing efforts. Since completion, they have doubled the leads coming into their website using the booklet. Communication between the two parties was seamless and insightful.
""We were impressed with the flexibility and the willingness this company has to go above and beyond what is expected."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

We are an enterprise knowledge-sharing platform that makes it easier than ever for companies to onboard, train, and engage their teams while creating a culture of continuous peer-to-peer learning. I lead community-building efforts through TechKnowCon, a community we built to help foster relationships between our prospective customers. Additionally, I am also a part of the marketing team to build out our top of the funnel. I do everything from creating content to building out campaigns and direct prospect outreach.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

We hired Tompson & Prince to help us design our booklet series that we used to market to our prospective clients.

What were your goals for this project?

Our booklet series was a campaign designed to educate our clients about how others in their space were doing knowledge sharing through original pieces of thought leadership. We hoped to educate our prospective customers and use this as a piece to further engage with us. We wanted this to be something that was simply designed and easy to digest.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select Thompson & Prince?

I looked for a design team that was well experienced and could help us navigate the campaign well. Our brand guidelines weren't completely fleshed out and definitely needed some work and updating. Before even getting started on the project, Thompson & Prince helped us understand what we were missing and how we can make the process smoother for everyone. I had a much better understanding of how to use our brand guidelines to create a well-designed marketing asset.

Describe the project in detail.

Like I mentioned earlier, Thompson & Prince not only helped us design this booklet series but they actually in a way acted as a consultant to us, helping us get our design guidelines up to par, not only for their use but for the future so that we have something we can use with any other partners we work with. Chris was very helpful by providing past examples and suggestions on how to structure and think of our brand and brand guidelines.

Once I built out an initial version of brand guidelines that his team could use, we then proceeded to complete the first booklet. I sent over the copy that our team wanted and the brand guidelines. His team sent over 3 initial different designs that our team could choose from. Once I received feedback from my team, I shared this choice with Chris and his team proceeded to send me at least 4 other design directions we could go. These designs included the first few pages of copy so I could see what it looked like and had awesome animations that everyone on my team loved.

My team chose the design direction that we wanted to take and Chris's team proceeded to design the rest of the booklet. After they designed the entire booklet, they sent it back to us for feedback and after a few rounds of back and forth, booklet one was completed! Since we had set the standard we wanted for the first booklet, the second booklet was pretty straightforward. We sent the copy to the team and they proceeded to design it.

What was the team composition?

I contacted Chris and he was my main contact the entire time. I believe he worked with a designer (maybe two) to get the design done. He was the liaison between my team and Thompson & Prince designers. This was very helpful because I'm not as familiar with working with design agencies and how I should be making recommendations. He was very helpful in providing guidance in that way.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This booklet project was really helpful for us because we finally had an asset we could share with prospective customers that provided a lot of value and prospects were interested in. We more than doubled our leads by using a booklet to draw in website visitors to our top of funnel.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Like I mentioned earlier, I mainly communicated with Chris and it was very smooth. Chris handled the details of the design updates I wanted and relayed all of the information to his designer. Due to my lack of experience working with design agencies, I wasn't versed with the proper way to give recommendations (by this, I mean that I wasn't specific enough or didn't notice all of the changes I should have given feedback on). Chris was great in coaching me that way!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed with the flexibility and the willingness this company has to go above and beyond what is expected. The scope of the project changed throughout the duration of the project and Chris was willing to renegotiate the contact details with me. It was relatively easy to do so. Additionally, on my end, I missed a lot of the timelines I predicted for my team to get the necessary things to the Thompson & Prince team and the team was very flexible with us. Lastly, I'm impressed by the ability of this company to go above and beyond. I expected a simple booklet that would get the job done and it was so well designed and everyone on the team appreciated the work.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that I can think of. They were a great partner to work with.

"“The team was responsive and very attuned to current branding trends."

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the preservation manager for an environmental consulting firm. I’m also an associate in the company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We use PowerPoints a lot for client presentations. Recently, we decided to modernize our website’s look and feel. We needed a company PowerPoint template that would be easy for staff to use across PowerPoint deliverables that we produce.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we talked to Chris (Founder) about producing a deck with 5–7 options. He asked some questions about what we were looking for in the design and what kind of look and feel we needed. Then, he created an outline and we had a shared Google document, where he asked some questions. He held us accountable where we might have some conflicting ideas.

It helped us take a closer look at what our expectations were from him. Then, Chris sent the plans over to his designer and we got a draft. We provided some feedback and went through an iterative process. He asked a lot of clarifying questions, which I found helpful. They produced more slide options than agreed upon and recreated our logo, too.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Chris and one designer.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

Chris was referred to me by a friend. We decided to go with them because they have a competitive price and we were able to get the job done quickly.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2020, and we wrapped up in September 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The teammates working on the project were definitely pleased with the end result. Everyone compliments how good it looks and how easy it is to use.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

They did well. The team met their deadlines for the most part; when they didn’t, it was because we were late in providing the feedback they needed to move onto the next stage.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team was responsive and very attuned to current branding trends. It was knowledge we really relied on them for as a company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe they could improve a little on the timeline. Working through Chris to get to the designer could have been a bit faster. Overall, we were pleased.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Chris offered to have a short call at the beginning of the engagement, which I did. It helped on a deeper level than just exchanging emails. Take them up on that 1x1 consultation.

""Their ability to take complicated concepts and create visuals to explain our messaging was impressive."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m VP of business operations and client services for Wine by Design. We’re a marketing and management company. We work with the sports and entertainment industry on building out their wine category.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We were working on our investor pitch deck and they provided support in building it out.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Chris (Founder & CEO) did two main things for us. The first involved doing a quick look through our deck and making formatting tweaks. Secondly, he helped us build out a few slides that explain a new component of our business we’re attempting to pitch. The component was a bit complicated, so his team helped us create those two slides.

What is the team composition?

I was only in direct contact with Chris, but I believe he had 1–2 others in the background working on it, too.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

We were introduced to Chris through a mutual contact.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in September 2020 for two weeks.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The service was great. Their work was really timely and collaborative.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

They were really responsive. We mainly communicated via email and through a Google Doc which we all edited. As far as project management, they were great at meeting deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to take complicated concepts and create visuals to explain our messaging was impressive. Seeing how they were interpreting the concepts we were trying to relate into infographics was great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Giving them the background story is really important. Sometimes, I think people tend to shy away from it and just give direct instructions. Their team is very capable of taking something complicated and interpreting it into a visual.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We needed a logo to begin marketing.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I knew I needed a logo but didn’t have too many ideas to provide them at the start. However, I was able to show them my old website along with some ideas from Instagram. They took those ideas and designed a logo that fit those criteria. He provided me with several design options to choose from along the way.

What is the team composition?

I worked directly with Chris (Founder).

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I heard of them through a friend and looked up their site online. While I’m not a designer, I was impressed with their site, so I reached out.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in July–August 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I liked every design option he showed me, so it was challenging to select just one for the final logo. The final logo is amazing and able to be used on marketing materials such as stickers, stamps, and more. They provided me with an essential stepping stone to get my brand going.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

Chris was patient and willing to hold my hand throughout the entire process. I was unfamiliar with the world of design, and he gave me just the right amount of options to choose from. He was super professional, friendly, and helpful. We communicated over the phone and email, and he’d always get back to me in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive about them?

After a few conversations with him, he was able to craft the exact designs I was looking for. It felt like he understood my tastes better than I did. I was very impressed with the communication and follow-ups. His attentiveness made it feel like I was working with one of my best friends.

My good friend and colleague Tom C., founder of Cunniff Consulting who worked with Thompson & Prince to create his website, highly recommended Chris G. and his team to me. I'm glad he did.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

I met with Chris just once downtown and from there we worked online through this unusual summer with no problems. Chris is a pro and knew what I needed, how to highlight my work, and what platforms were needed to do so.

He was my sherpa throughout the whole process, kindly correcting my copy, suggesting works to include while straightening out all my old passwords and telling me how to delete all "ghost " accounts. He's a patient guy.

What was the team composition?

Chris was the team captain leading the charge, therefore, I never met people on the team. From what I could see, however, the team was highly responsive to my comments.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It's too early to tell yet, but from people who have seen the site, they're very excited for me.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. My project was on a budget, but I was never made to feel aware of that. Early on, Chris told me what me exactly what he had in mind and was going to do. The job was as promised.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As already mentioned, Chris is a pro; he also listens, which is rare these days. He figured out what I needed and told me how to get there. There were no surprises.

One other thing: Chris said my design site would be a little more "out of the box" from websites he usually creates. Nevertheless, he proceeded confidently and with aplomb.

Are there any areas for improvement?

None that I can see.

Customers can expect a responsive team that goes the extra mile to make sure their clients are set up for success.
"“They presented in-depth information in a unique and clear, yet visually appealing way.”

"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and president of a professional nonprofit organization.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We developed a major initiative that would expand on our mission to educate college students so they’re prepared for a career in marketing. We needed help presenting the proposal in a compelling and succinct way.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with Thompson & Prince to develop the creative elements behind our pitch deck. We’ve used that deck since day one in our outreach to a company. We provided them with the general layout for the organization, and they brought information together to present things in a concise and creative way. The team worked on the visual components, but also the copy to make sure it was on point.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Chris (Founder & CEO).

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I remember seeing the work that they’d done, and the other pitch decks they’d completed. They presented in-depth information in a unique and clear, yet visually appealing way, which is what made me want to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $6,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in September 2019, and we wrapped up the main part in November 2019. Chris was very good about adding extra information after the main project ended so that we had what we needed in a consistent visual that fit in the entire deck.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our board and a group of business leaders were able to review our pitch deck and better understand exactly what the program concept is, the way it would work, and how it’s incorporated with delivering on our mission.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

Chris was very responsive and clear about what we needed. There was one time in particular where he did all of the work himself in lieu of sending it out to another designer. He recognized we needed the information quickly and stepped in to accommodate that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was looking for a high-quality creative presentation that looked professional, relay the information, while being consistent with our brand; they delivered on all of those aspects very well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are more sophisticated art formats they could have used. However, we required was a deck that enabled us to make revisions, which meant we couldn’t go to those more sophisticated formats because we didn’t have that expertise internally.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

What helped from day one is that we had a majority of the information put together. Then, we were able to capitalize on their creative expertise to refine it in a way that was visually appealing. It presented well in a way we were trying to get across. My advice is to get a much put together ahead of time. If you have an idea of what the creative should look like, present that in some way so it gives direction to the individuals creating your work.

""He was amazing, responsive and reflective."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

BlueMont Associates is a retained executive search firm focused in the Private Equity, Private Credit and Financial Services space. Together with my partners, our firm is a leading connector to firms looking to expand or enhance their professional workforce.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

BlueMont hired Thompson & Prince to navigate a more focused brand message to our potential clients.

What were your goals for this project?

Our firm needed to align our key strengths with the brand appearance. Our marketing messaging seemed to be misaligned with our marketing presentation/materials. We needed to clean up the “look.”

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

Our firm had heard about T&P’s through one of our Partners.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Working closely with T&P we soon discovered that it was not so much what our marketing materials said, rather how it was said. We needed to have a crisp appearance so that our words could be presented to our clients without the clutter of terrible color graphics.

What was the team composition?

We worked directly w/ Chris Gorges. He was amazing, responsive and reflective.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our business is not so process driven that this marketing project would result in a direct impact to our bottom line. Yet what we had as marketing materials prior quite possibly could have had a negative effect.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our challenges were mostly on our own side balancing client meetings. T&P did a great job making themselves available around that.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The work was quickly assimilated into a client ready position.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not to my assessment.

""They were really subject matter experts in creating pitch decks."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of Fohm Co, a bootstrapped, direct to consumer company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We’re positioning to raise money to expand into different distribution channels, which will include B2B sales, selling our product into offices and hospitality spaces. We also wanted to expand further into licensing our product out to other brands.

We hired Thompson & Prince because we needed a subject matter expert in creating fundraising decks. Our goal was to create a cohesive story that would be compelling to investors.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave them a very rough sketch of what we wanted to explain in the deck. We showed them where we were as a company and what we were raising the money to do. They provided the guidance and structure for how to take all of the data and create a cohesive format.

We had no visual direction, so they provided us with a few different avenues we could go down for branding. They took the lead on the graphic design and illustrative elements for the deck.

What is the team composition?

I had one main point of contact, which was helpful in streamlining communication.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I followed a recommendation from a mutual connection.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our project ran from March–April 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work has already resulted in some immediate traction from the investors I’ve shared it with.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

They were really responsive; I was getting answers to questions over the weekend from them. They were very rapid in responding to us, so I was happy with that. We used email and Google Slides mockups.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were really subject matter experts in creating pitch decks. Their rapid response time was also impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind for them to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open to their suggestions and recommendations, even if it goes against the initial thought or ideas you had. Don’t be afraid to let them challenge your pitch deck assumptions.

#### Website Design for Antique Militaria Store

**The Review** — May 1, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The website was completed but has yet to launch, but the client was satisfied with Thompson & Prince’s design work. The team gave quick responses to the client’s questions and suggested insightful ideas to improve the client’s brand.
""Our stakeholders are impressed and 100% satisfied with Thompson & Prince’s design work."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of Perry Adams Antiques. We buy, sell, and appraise antiques related to the military (called militaria), especially those related to the American Civil War.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We had an interest in going from what people would consider an antiquated website to a more sophisticated one.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Thompson & Prince redesigned our website. Our role was to respond with questions. We did examine existing military-related websites before moving forward with the contacts. We picked out key concepts and components of those websites that we liked. For example, we chose a dark background with white lettering because we liked that mood. Thompson & Prince took the design and development work from there.

What is the team composition?

We were directly working with Chris (Founder & CEO). He passed instructions to one or more designers, but he was our only contact.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

We were familiar with a website they’d developed in the fall of 2019. I was extremely impressed, especially compared to our website at the time; it seemed several magnitudes better in numerous aspects, including the graphics, functionality, and presentation of articles for sales. It had the darker background that I liked and asked to be on our own website.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in December 2019, and the website was finished in May 2020. Our target was for February 2020, but the delay was 100% our responsibility. We often gave late responses to questions and decisions. Thompson & Prince meanwhile was extremely responsive to any questions we posed to them.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since the website hasn’t gone live yet, I have only internal feedback from three people in our team. However, our stakeholders are impressed and 100% satisfied with Thompson & Prince’s design work. We’ll get a better sense once the launch takes place. It’ll coincide with an email marketing campaign to 300 preferred clients over MailChimp.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

Since I’m a numbers guy, I have to say again I’m 100% satisfied. When it came to responses, I was impressed by their turnaround time and the content itself. They even suggested a way to redo our logo to better reflect our brand, which has evolved over time. It was one of the best ideas they had from a marketing perspective, in my opinion.

We communicated primarily via email, but we also had one conference call that was extremely useful. I really do like phone calls, however; I’m not by nature a big emailer. The back-and-forth in an email has some inefficiency.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked their design work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything.

Any advice for potential customers?

Reach out as soon as possible. I had the opportunity to recommend Thompson & Prince to a few individuals. Chris responded immediately on a Friday, and they planned an initial phone call by Monday and Tuesday. I had no caveats in my recommendations either.

Thompson & Prince’s attention to detail is notable, as is their commitment to thorough editing. Customers can expect a customer-focused partner.
""I really thought that they provided value at ever phase."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president and founder of Templer Wealth Management, a wealth management and financial planning firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

I needed a number of different items. I didn’t have anything to start with, so I needed everything from a logo to a website, and then stationary, and a small amount of marketing with a one-pager as well.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we worked through the branding, and Chris (Founder & CEO, Thompson & Prince) sent me a questionnaire. They came back with comments and further questions to revise and get further clarity on which direction we wanted to go. There were three iterations we continued to work with for the logo and branding.

Chris provided a lot of options, whether we wanted to go a contemporary route or a classic route. He didn’t want to provide his feedback toward the end, so he wasn’t trying to steer us one way or the other. He provided his expertise and guidance later, once we knew what we wanted.

I came up with the name of my company, and they produced our brand guidelines including color information, fonts, and so forth. Then, they produced business card files and letterhead for digital and print. Additionally, they created a background for my business’ LinkedIn profile. They also did an abbreviated version of the logo I can use for different situations.

Also included was a marketing one-pager that helps me tell prospective clients what I do and how I do it. They also tackled the WordPress website, doing everything from A to Z. We told them what we wanted in terms of designs and photos. The stationary includes everything from envelopes, notecards and notepads to glossy folders.

What is the team composition?

I only worked directly with Chris. He was working with several others he contracted out with for certain design elements. All these people were in my budget, though.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I don’t have any experience with this, and I started my business rather quickly, so I needed someone I could trust. I didn’t have time to vet a large number of options so I went with the recommendation of a family member.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $6,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2019 until January 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I initially announced my business on January 21st and received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from everyone. There’s been no negative feedback whatsoever. Everybody thinks that my website is tremendous, well done artistically, and captured who I am as an individual. I passed it all along to Chris so he knew his efforts paid off. It provides me with credibility with clients. They can go to the site and quickly recognize that it will be a professional engagement with me.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

They did very well. I didn’t have any issues whatsoever. I really thought that they provided value at every phase. There were a number of different deliverables, but he has an artistic side and a design side where he’ll come up with these ideas and get his designers to come up with options. He also has this really exceptional editing ability. His attention to detail along those lines in helping the consumer understand what I do and how I do it with phrasing that makes sense was invaluable. He spent a lot of time late at night on the editing side for me.

Mainly, we communicated through Google Docs in a collaborative sense. We worked back and forth on different items. Otherwise, it was through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Based on feedback, I’ve received from friends and colleagues, is that the way my website flows as you scroll through it, the ease of use, helps it stand apart. People notice it, both on the mobile site and the regular site.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If I had to pick one thing I would say we took a lot of time to get the logo right on the front end. It was good, it just took a little longer than I expected. So maybe have just a bit better expectations as to how long it might take to develop the logo initially, and it probably takes different amounts of time for different people.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Coming from someone who’s never done this before, you should have faith that Chris wants the end product to represent what the client wants, and that he understands that it reflects on him and his company. He will act in a way that you will be very pleased with.

**The Review** — Mar 2, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: The program's name, branding, and logo have all received positive impact. Meeting the partner's functional and aesthetic goals, the deliverables complement the larger brand family. Thompson & Prince prioritized this project and delivered top-tier work in an extremely tight turnaround.
"“Their team is composed of great professionals who have access to an enormous amount of creative talent.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the executive director of a nonprofit technology and investor organization. We’re a business-oriented organization and have been around for 30 years.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We had a very quick turnaround project in response to an initiative we received a grant for. This grant would help us launch one of our technology programs designed around underrepresented founders, including people of color and women. The initiative was a short-term opportunity to launch something that needed naming and branding. We needed Thompson & Prince to handle those efforts for us.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Thompson & Prince handled the naming and branding services for our new program. Naming the program came first and then branding and logo followed soon afterward. The brand itself became the collateral of materials we need to execute on a daily basis. It had to be something that could be optimized for mobile and print collateral in large format signage screens.

The logo needed to be black and white. It was also essential that we’d be able to segment some of its symbols and elements. This new branding had to work with existing brands we already had and fit into our brand family. Thompson & Prince had to be flexible in learning about our brand family and then create something that didn’t clash with it.

The Thompson & Prince team worked very closely with our internal team who had already done a bit of planning legwork. This internal team was already familiar with the topic, brand, and product. We had all the intel and market intelligence together. However, we just needed a creative team to extract the right information so we could deliver and execute.

At the beginning of the project, Thompson & Prince came in and quickly understood all the parameters by asking the right questions. We had an extremely tight turnaround and started at ground zero for the naming and branding process. Thompson & Prince had their own process which was tried and true, but they truncated their workflow for us. In the end, they gave us a tangible, functional name and brand.

What is the team composition?

I had a principal who was the lead and my main contact. I’m not familiar with them, but I know he also worked with a number of other individuals.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

Their team had been referred to me in the past. I was aware of their reputation and work because I follow their LinkedIn profile. When I fell into that time crunch, I reached out to them.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started and finished in January 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything is still launching, but all of our initial response has been very positive. Our internal team and core constituencies in the marketplace are very pleased. The product is holding up nicely against our other brands as well as showing up in a lot of individual marketing components and locations that are important to us.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was great. We communicated through email, SMS, and phone calls.

Thompson & Prince made our project a priority service to them. They were extraordinarily professional and brought discipline to their design, creativity, and execution. Their team is composed of great professionals who have access to an enormous amount of creative talent.

Their team had a terrific process and saved us a lot of time. We couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of work under such deadlines. They worked with very tight resources within very tight timing and still delivered a top-tier product.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were focused throughout the whole process, from conception to execution, to deliver what we needed. Their team brought professionalism all the way through to deliver a great product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We would’ve liked more time because they were very focused on giving us the best products they could. I can’t really fault them for that because that’s a sign of a professional who wants to deliver the best product. They managed it within the timeframe we had.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The Thompson & Prince team asks important, thoughtful questions based on their experience and knowledge. Be prepared to be thoughtful about how you can work with a professional organization to give them the information they need to get the job done.

**Feedback Summary**: The team delivered a design that accurately represents the company on a tight schedule and budget. Attentive and proactive, they communicated effectively to ensure a smooth process. Their diligence allowed the client to take a more hands-off role when needed.
""They were able to hit the design bull's-eye quickly and painlessly, requiring no hand-holding to get the job done."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder and managing partner of a boutique B2B brand marketing consultancy.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

Our company website was several years old and badly needed a refresh. Additionally, our original logo was dated.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a website that would look and feel sophisticated and contemporary, with a blog that would be simple for us to update on our own as the company grows.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

I posted to a few online creative forums, explaining what was needed and asking for recommendations. It was immediately clear that Thompson & Prince had the right talent for the job. There was no second choice that came close.

Describe the project in detail.

I provided a few examples of sites I liked and explained why I felt those sites would be a good model. Thompson & Prince were great at picking up on the important design cues and led the process quickly and effectively.

What was the team composition?

My primary point of contact was Chris, the company's founder. It was easy to develop a quick shorthand that enabled us to move ahead quickly.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

There was no objective metric for success. The goal was to find a design that felt right – which actually makes this type of project particularly hard to manage on a tight budget. But Thompson & Prince was able to deliver.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I never had to keep after them, but will confess they needed to keep after me here and there

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were able to hit the design bullseye quickly and painlessly, requiring no hand-holding to get the job done. That ability is worth its weight in gold for someone like me who needs to stay focused on serving my own clients. I'd work with them again in a second.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can't think of a single thing they could have done better.

"“If we could work with all of our service providers in the same way I would be really happy.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing partner of an investment management business.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We needed to create a marketing presentation to give to our prospective investors, employees, and service providers.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped out in pretty much every part of the process. We did a lot of copywriting, but Chris was instrumental in helping us synthesize what we were trying to say. In a lot of cases, he was able to create powerful visuals that communicated what we wanted to say verbally in a very effective way through PowerPoint as well.

What is the team composition?

I know Chris had a team supporting him, but we just worked with him, so the back and forth was very seamless for us.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

Chris had been recommended to us by somebody who worked with us before who had also worked with him in the consulting world. My partner suggested we sit down with Chris and listen to his value proposition, and sort of go through a brainstorming session so that we established a common vocabulary as early on as possible. In a lot of cases, you don’t have the opportunity to test that before you hire someone, so being able to develop that relationship was key for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The entire engagement was probably about six weeks from our first meeting, so in the end, we worked from July–August 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received universally positive feedback. In a few cases, people have even solicited Chris’s information because they wanted to work with him after seeing what he did with us, including our biggest service provider. The feedback has been very, very positive.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management was exceptional. The process was intense but fairly painless. While we were working on the PowerPoint it was pretty consistent from day to day that we would turn in materials and edits by 6:00 pm and get a draft back by the next morning and work on them again until that evening and repeat the process.

We would be on the phone once a day for anywhere from 10–30 minutes and have more comprehensive conference calls 2–3 times a week. Working together was always a very positive experience because the intensity drove very high-quality work and ensured that everybody was on the same page about exactly what needed to be done and when.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I couldn’t limit to just one thing, but the two things I thought were most impressive were the consistency and the thoughtful feedback. He was able to manage timelines perfectly while dealing with three constituent groups, and he was always able to make substantive, critical comments without ruffling feathers in any way.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything to improve. If we could work with all of our service providers in the same way, I would be really happy.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would just advise anyone working with them to go in expecting the service to be a focused sharpening and translational mechanism rather than of a more concept-oriented service.

**The Review** — Jul 16, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Thompson & Prince’s efforts continuously receive positive acclaim, and their future success is promising. The team has a deep knowledge of the guidelines that are required for branding, website development, and SEO. They always offer insightful advice and explain their logic in understandable terms.
""Their attention to detail is impressive."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the co-founder of ViVODOMi, a premier concierge services firm.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We needed help with website development as well as design and branding for several companies.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I have worked with them on projects for three different companies.

Chris (Founder & CEO, Thompson & Prince) did the copy for my concierge company where I am the co-founder and head of operations.

He also did the logo and branding guidelines for a rebranding of our other company, and they are currently working on some website updates for us. We had worked with a brand strategist and then I needed it to be more refined. I asked Chris to help refine the logo and branding guidelines, fonts, and also help with some technical updates on the website that we didn’t know how to do. These included making sure it was in line with our branding guidelines that Chris created for us, and also making sure it loaded quicker with the images with enhanced user experience.

They are also creating my new company’s website and copy from the ground up. We recognized it was an opportunity to refine it and get it a little more dialed in and being clearer and more focused on what our message was on the website because it wasn’t converting.

We began with me telling him what my idea was for the company and Chris created the feel for the brand, the logo, as well as the branding guidelines. We then went into crafting the website and he is working with his team now to build out the website for me, copy, the look and feel.

What is the team composition?

Chris has been my main point of contact. I know he has a team, but I am unsure of how many people work on the projects.

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I had a mentor who referred Chris to me. He had used Chris on some projects. Even since then, I have been using Thompson & Prince because I like Chris’ attention to detail and the way he views things which is totally different than the way I do.

How much have you invested in them?

I have spent at least $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in December 2018, and the work is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I do feel better about the quality of the copy that we are putting out there as a result of what Chris has done for us. It is the same as far as the branding he is doing for us, as it is very clear, focused, and eventually, we will start to see the results of a cohesive brand image as we get bigger as we are a small boutique brand right now. It has translated well as far as the confidence of the brand I am portraying to our clients. It is clear, cohesive, and professional. For me, that has been the value add more so than translating to dollars. I can’t wait to see how our latest work together turns out because that is going to be where I really start to see the true value in the work Chris has done because it is something, he has truly built from the ground up for me.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

He performs pretty well. He is very disciplined, and you can tell he is organized. He always makes sure he is clear about what you want, and if he is not clear, he will ask a ton of questions. I definitely think he is professional in that manner, and he is very detailed which is something I like. As far as project management goes, I am very happy with how smooth it seems, at least from my end.

We use Google Docs to collaborate. We also do conference video calls when he presents things like the logo and branding guidelines to us so that we can ask questions and provide feedback there. We also use email on a daily basis, and we can jump on a quick call if needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail is impressive. I also like the fact that Chris has a really good knowledge of guidelines that are required for branding and also the website and SEO. He is also good at coaching through the work. If I say I like something, he will have his suggestions and opinions on why he thinks it might not be a good idea and will explain why it might be better to do something another way which I like. For me, that is why I go back to him. I feel confident that I am going to get very clear and professional work, and also learn something in that process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This is something he is aware of, so he may have improved already, but if I had to give something it would be more around the customer service aspect of the way he gives direct feedback. He could soften up on his customer skills a little bit. You can definitely tell he is someone who doesn’t mince words. He may not sugar coat things and his delivery can come across harsh at certain points which is fine as that is one of the things, I like about working with him because he is very honest. However, it could rub someone the wrong way, and even me sometimes, but I do recognize where it comes from.

Google Docs is not my favorite tool as I am someone who likes conversations versus going back and forth in a document or email. Sometimes things can be misinterpreted in a document, especially if you are someone like Chris who can be very literal or exact and detailed. If you say something, he goes by that in a document versus how it feels across a phone conversation or a video. If things don’t come across clearly in the document, instead of going back and forth via the document, maybe just jump on a call. I do think he does it that way because it is probably more efficient for him, but it can get a little annoying clarifying things through the document versus just having a phone call to make it clear. Other than that, he does great work and I can’t wait to do more projects.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Find out from Thompson & Prince what you need to have upfront before you start so you don’t hold up the process. There are some things you have to devote time to that is needed for Chris to be able to move forward.

A lot of that was done with a couple of my projects, and there wasn’t a lot needed from him. When we built my site from the ground up, I feel like there was a lot more that Chris has needed from me in order for him to move forward. Be clear about what you think you need to have before you start. That way, when you get going, you aren’t holding up the process.

**Feedback Summary**: The deliverables continue to elicit positive comments month after delivery, testifying to Thompson & Prince’s ability to please diverse stakeholders. They possess both an obvious energy and the ability to communicate clearly. Their flexibility was particularly helpful.
""Chris (Founder) is clearly passionate about what he does, and he takes a strategic and disciplined approach..."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Director of Business Development and Marketing for Chaffetz and Lindsey LLP, an elite, 40-person dispute resolution boutique based in New York City. We have an international presence and specialize in international arbitration, insurance/reinsurance disputes, and domestic commercial litigation.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

We used Thompson & Prince to design an anniversary logo and redesign our firm's PowerPoint template.

What were your goals for this project?

We were mid-website redesign with another design firm we didn't love. Our PowerPoint template was in desperate need of an overhaul, but we needed something that was compatible with the current site and would look good with the direction we were going on the new site. It was a tricky project given the constraints and the level of input the lawyers insisted on having, despite their limited experience in design. We also needed a logo for our 10th anniversary. This was equally challenging given the competing ideas our team had for the final outcome.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

We had used a few design firms for various projects over the years. None of them knocked our socks off. I crossed paths with Chris Gorges through some online networking and was convinced he could provide us with something that was a bit edgier than the firm had previously considered. Chris came in and presented to our team, and we were impressed with his credentials, his ideas, and the general compatibility we had as a group. He understood what we were trying to accomplish and worked hard to help us understand the strategy behind the design decisions we were making.

Describe the project in detail.

We provided Thompson & Prince with a rather rigid set of guidelines for this project. Despite us not having a clear idea of what we wanted, Chris and his team patiently saw us through the process of clarifying our vision. He presented us with three amazing PowerPoint templates that made it difficult to decide which one to choose. But once we reached consensus, we went through two more of more detailed choices resulting in a template that floored our firm's partners.

The T&P team also presented us with great options for an anniversary logo. For this aspect of the project, they listened carefully to what we wanted and exceeded our expectations in returning a collection of options. We were pleased with the final outcome, and the speed with which we were able to complete the process.

What was the team composition?

We worked directly with Chris Gorges, who managed our projects from start to finish. I believe he worked with a couple of different designers between our projects, but from our perspective, the process was seamless and neither project was negatively impacted if there were changes in designers.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most notable outcome is the positive reaction from my internal team. Our biggest challenge as a firm (with regard to most of our marketing projects) is finding a consensus on design. The fact that I'm still receiving compliments on the new PowerPoint template six months later speaks volumes of their satisfaction.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Neither of these projects was overly complex. We managed the process through email, and it was seamless and efficient.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We found T&P to be easy to work with and fun. Chris is clearly passionate about what he does, and he takes a strategic and disciplined approach to each project. His guidance is practical and crystal clear. We asked him to give us options that we thought we wanted in addition to what he would give us if given no restrictions, and we loved the results. He and his team did a brilliant job of interpreting our vision. They also met their deadlines, which was important for keeping the project moving.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I can't think of anything notable that stands out. If anything, I feel like my team's indecisiveness created any issues that arose, but Chris and his team handled it like pros and provided us with terrific customer service from start to finish.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with Thompson & Prince?

We initially reached out to Thompson & Prince to redesign our website and then to provide some additional branding work.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

Thompson & Prince designed and developed a website on WordPress, using some of the content we provided. They also redesigned our logo, an email signature block, and some other brand messaging, while consulting us on ways to better position ourselves in the marketplace.

What is the team composition?

We mainly worked with Chris (Founder and CEO, Thompson & Prince).

How did you come to work with Thompson & Prince?

I knew of Chris through a mutual friend, so I was already familiar with his business. He was very attentive and took the time to understand our business needs from the start, which distinguished him from other vendors.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested between $10,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between June–December 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've received a lot of positive feedback on our website overall. Chris did an exceptionally good job of taking the time to understand our business and what sets us apart from our competitors. He provided a lot of helpful feedback and pushback when necessary as I developed and provided content.

How did Thompson & Prince perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very accommodating and flexible around our schedule as we became busy with other tasks. Chris sent us reminders to help keep us on track throughout the process, diligently working around a set agenda. We primarily spoke through email and over the phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In addition to the quality of their work, they're very good about taking the time to understand client business challenges and goals. Their strong attention to detail helped us market ourselves better in our industry.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't really have any constructive feedback. I've worked with other design firms, but Thompson & Prince was able to do more by comparison.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take advantage of Chris' branding and messaging expertise, because he's good at figuring out what it takes for a company to stand out in a competitive marketplace. Spending time with him in the beginning to work on broad branding strategies is will help make the rest of the process more seamless.

""I'm beyond thrilled with my logo and business cards."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the founder and managing director of Human Results, an HR consulting and coaching firm working with tech companies.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire Thompson & Prince?

While building a company, I was too busy to think about marketing and visual identity. I hired Thompson & Prince to create my logo and other elements of my visual identity.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted a logo that was professional, welcoming, and clean. I also wanted to leverage consistent colors and fonts across stationery and templates. Having a modern, fresh look and feel was important to my confidence in growing the company.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor?

I met the founder at a workshop and was impressed with his mix of creative and strategic work experience. That discussion was instrumental in showing me the importance of visual identity and proper marketing. I wasn't planning to invest resources in a visual identity, but he gave me a free concept that spoke to me.

After better understanding their approach, background, and previous work, I reviewed their packages. The package they offered for a logo, business cards, and stationery was more reasonable and worthwhile than a cheaper, less personalized option.

Describe the project in detail.

Thompson & Prince worked with me to survey my target audiences and understand the elements we should include in my visual identity. We went through several rounds of design and color selection. The founder worked with me personally to ensure that I felt comfortable with the weight, style, and colors. He went above and beyond to implement my own vision, rather than forcing me to choose from their ideas.

What was the team composition?

The founder was my main contact and the project lead. He translated my vision for the other graphic designers on his team.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I'm beyond thrilled with my logo and business cards. I love having the flexibility to swap their colors to match those of my clients. It's professional and fun, but also clever and simple.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was fine. It might have been more efficient if I weren't as particular, indecisive, and reliant on their expertise. I greatly appreciated their efforts to meet my needs while providing expert guidance and direction. They kept the project on track.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have great attention to detail and style, and their founder has an eye like no other. The entire process felt like a partnership, which I genuinely appreciated. I wouldn't have been satisfied if they didn't accommodate my personality and specific needs. I appreciated not only their creative prowess but also their ability to think strategically!

Are there any areas for improvement?

Because the founder is a kind person who takes pride in his work, he should draw lines quickly to limit scope creep. Many clients are seeking their expertise, so they should give direct feedback. Sometimes the client isn't right!
