We were looking for someone to be our long term partner on the site and be around in the future as we grow and evolve as a business. Kicking off with an initial project which was: SEO/Remedial work I noticed that the template we used to build this site homepage 1 scored 86 and 94 on Google Pagespeed Insights (desktop) and Pingdom respectively but the Simply Thrilled new site only scores 77 and 65 for the same – we need to achieve similar scores to the template as obviously SEO is incredibly important to the site.
More generally - I wanted to just double check that the previous designer hadn’t messed anything up which might come back to bite us either on a functionality front or SEO, or anything else for that matter - we’ve been backing up so can restore previous versions if needed.
Older tablet compatibility I noticed the menu doesn’t function at all on older ipads (I tried one from 2018 and no joy) obviously it’s a very animation-heavy website but would be great to get the basic functionality of the menu etc on as many devices as possible. Design tweaks There’s just a few things left to tweak on the design - I’ve left these as comments on Webflow which I’ve screenshot and included in this folder. I can give you access to in due course - there’s only 6 or so items.
Landing pages The text content for these can be found in the shared dropbox folder. The design will be exactly the same across every landing page, with just the text changing with a few videos embedded from Vimeo within the body text.
I’ve added the page title, slug (URL) and meta description to each page above the copy. This is the main bulk of the work I have a about 80 landing pages to the Expertise section of the homepage as shown here (though obviously this will be changed to reflect the new landing pages) Each of these landing pages would be linked out from a relevant text link in the expertise section
My idea (though I’m happy to hear other options) is to create a generic collection page and then once that’s completed we can just produce a the entirety of the landing pages in this manner with just the text and embedded videos in the body content changing, nothing else.
I’ve added notes to the landing page template page to give you an idea on the design front. Those notes can be found on the page here (in the Webflow workspace as '[Draft: Agency 02, within the 'Simply Thrilled NEW WEBSITE' project] Old landing pages There’s some pre-existing landing pages on the site (which you can see currently linked from the expertise section on the site) these need to be updated to fit the new format and copy (or just made from scratch.
But we want to keep the right URL as some of them are ranking on the first page of google) Schema Mark-up I want to add schema to landing pages and the current pages too, so that the site appears with the google reviews and perhaps some other info in Google - like this from our competitor (key info highlighted in green circle):
