I’m the business owner of a grocery store. We are not a big grocery chain; we are a small local grocery store where all of our residents prefer to purchase their local food items. On top of that, to help local business owners and manufacturers, we have a local corner where we showcase all the locally created or manufactured items. Apart from just regular grocery items, we also provide fresh-cut meat and livestock feed. We have a very diverse set of products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Telkoware?

I've been running this grocery store for more than 10 years. Unfortunately, for quite some time, we didn't have any online presence. We weren’t able to showcase any product offers or new items that we would bring into the store. There wasn't any way for us to promote that to our customers so that they would reach out to us and purchase those items. To address that gap, we wanted to establish an online presence and provide that information to our customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have received quite a few services from them. Initially, Telkoware did our website design and development. Then, they launched it. When I reached out to them, I explained all of the project requirements and gave them an overview of the business. They worked very closely with us and understood our requirements. We had multiple discussions on what kind of website would emphasize our unique local grocery setup.

I provided them with the company logo. I wanted to make sure that they used the color, theme, and style of the logo to replicate the website. That was also a recommendation from them. They did quite a bit of research on different grocery stores, the kinds of websites they had, and the theme and design layout that would make sense for our business.

Then, they designed a website mock-up for us. We reviewed the proposal and were very impressed with their initial concept. I sent them some minor changes, and after that, they built the website using WordPress. Toward the end of development, I shared the product details — like product names, descriptions, and prices — so that they could be uploaded to the website. They did all of the other creative design work, like the images and photos. After everything was done, the website went live.

Currently, Telkoware provides us with web and email hosting services. They're also helping us promote our website through Google Ads and SEO to help us bring more traffic to the website and, in turn, bring in more customers.

What is the team composition?

In total, four people have been assigned to our project. I mainly coordinate with their project manager, who is overseeing the entire project. Under him, he has a website designer, a developer, and a QA tester.

When I started to look for website developers, I found a few options on Google. I reached out to them and based on my discussions, I felt most comfortable working with Telkoware because of their knowledge, expertise, and experience.

Telkoware finished the website development in February 2021. We continue working together on digital marketing; the SEO and Google Ads campaigns are ongoing

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In terms of statistics, I didn't have a website prior, so it's hard to make a comparison. We went from zero traffic to now getting approximately 40–50 requests per day on our website. We're also getting at least 8–10 calls every day just based on the website. We have seen immense growth in our customer base because of having an online presence, as well as doing digital marketing.

Even though this was their first project in the grocery industry, they were up and running in a very short span of time and finished the entire website in less than three weeks. I’ve been impressed with their level of expertise and understanding of the project. Telkoware works very quickly, and choosing them is one of the best decisions I’ve made — I really enjoy working with them.

Their project management is superb. They were right on top of their game in managing expectations and the entire scope of the project. They made sure that the final website was delivered as per my expectations. The quality of the work was excellent.

Their work was completed ahead of time; we were looking to have this project completed in four weeks, and they finished it in three. They were ahead of their deadline and finished the entire project within budget. We mostly communicate via email and calls. We don’t use any specific project management tools because I’m not very technical.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There are a few things. I’m impressed by the personalized experience they provide. They are the best experts I’ve seen in their field and are very well versed with different technologies. They also have excellent communication skills. We have back and forth communication. They listen to my feedback and make sure that I’m 100% satisfied with the website. Whenever I make a request, they immediately make those changes to ensure I’m happy with the end product.

It’s really hard to say what they could improve. They have really excelled on all fronts.

Any advice for potential customers?

If you’re thinking about working with them, you should definitely go for it. Make sure that you have your end goal in mind. It doesn’t make sense to have a website just to have an online presence; rather, the objective should be to work toward obtaining a business outcome. This could be that you’re looking to build credibility and trustworthiness, generate more leads, or do online sales. Make sure you communicate whatever the end goal is with the Telkoware team so that they can design the entire website based on that.

Just be open and frank with them. Communicate clearly what your goals are, and they will be able to provide you with the best possible experience.

We needed help with our digital marketing so we can establish an online presence. Even though we have been in business for quite some time, most of our leads had been referrals of friends and family. 

As I was looking to expand my business, I wanted to build a presence online to get leads from the internet. My primary target is people searching for our services on Google. I wanted a website so our audience can learn more about our services and past projects and give them an idea about the quality of our work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the project with Telkoware designing a logo for us. After that, they used the logo’s color and theme in designing and developing the website. Once the website was completed, we implemented digital marketing efforts where we focused on PPC and SEO. 

I explained to Telkoware in detail all the different services we provide and our experience as a company. I sent them photos of the projects we worked on. I gave them different examples of our work on residential areas, such as glass installations on houses, washrooms, bathrooms, showers, and bathtub enclosures. Similarly, I sent them pictures of office glass partitions. I also sent them examples of what people are looking for nowadays: exterior glassworks such as glass railings on decks and patios. I sent them that to give them a good idea of the kind of services and solutions we offer.

In terms of metrics, it’s hard to measure their impact since before engaging with Telkoware we didn’t have any online presence and we had no traffic at all. That said, after having the website built and the digital marketing efforts begun, we get 3–5 calls daily. We have been receiving a lot of quality leads based on the fantastic work that Telkoware has done. The leads we get from the website give us the feedback that the site is very intuitive and user-friendly, and it’s easy to navigate and find the information they’re looking for. From a look and feel perspective, the website is excellent.

Searches for specific price rangers weren’t working, which meant that they had to browse through the entire inventory of about 100 cars to find what they were looking for. Telkoware was responsible for UX/UI design, development, and launching of our new website. Telkoware recommended we use WordPress with a MySQL backend database. They uploaded the inventory of over 100 cars, which included features and images of each car.

We focused on obtaining a more modern and user-friendly design and layout, as well as a strong database with search capabilities. We ensured that our clients could search for cars based on year, model, type, mileage, and price.
