Teknika designed and developed Digital Sportsman's core platform, which included two mobile applications, a consumer -facing marketplace, and a web platform. The primary technologies used were Ruby on Rails, React, Flutter, and AWS.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Teknika delivered the agreed-upon MVP requirements, allowing Digital Sportsman to proceed with its platform launch. The UX/UI design work was a particular strength of the engagement, resulting in a cohesive visual experience across the web platform, consumer-facing marketplace, and two mobile applications

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They followed a disciplined process of gathering requirements, making beautiful and functional mockups for approval, then building a detailed backlog and timeline with specified and estimated tickets.  They developed using Agile 2-week sprints with incremental deliveries according to our priorities.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Teknika design team was the standout of the engagement. Their ability to translate our vision into a polished, cohesive UX/UI across multiple platforms, web, marketplace, and two mobile apps,  was impressive. The development team worked hard on the project and delivered on the requirements.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Teknika could have done differently?

Like any development engagement, there were opportunities to tighten timelines and improve communication cadence. Nothing that derailed the project, but areas any growing agency could refine.

I’m the CEO of Rubberduck, an app-based, on-location car service. We allow users to book repairs and maintenance, such as tire changes, directly from their smartphones. Our company is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Teknika to accomplish for your business?

We needed help with web app development for mobile mechanic booking. We also needed a website and a webshop.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Teknika developed a web app for mobile mechanic booking. The app had a calendar, flow, service, customer, and employee interfaces. The team also integrated a ton of APIs with external partners, such as license plate lookup, payment, and technical data lookup. Teknika also built a website and a webshop, all integrated.

What is the team composition?

We worked with several teammates from Teknika throughout the project, but we never had more than four at a time.

How did you come to work with Teknika?

Someone recommended Teknika to us. We chose them over other options because of their price, project scoping, and thorough presentation.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2020–January 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We never had a web app prior to Teknika’s work, so it’s hard to measure the results. However, when we started working with them, we serviced 2,000 customers and had three customer service agents and one person who did planning. Now, we service 6,000 customers and still only have three customer service agents.

How did Teknika perform from a project management standpoint?

Teknika kept a very solid project management. We communicated via calls and emails. The team mostly delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Teknika’s backend and architecture work were impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing specific they needed to improve.

I'm the CEO of Fuuled, a logistics and supply chain company. We deliver fuel on-site to cars, trucks, boats, and more.

What challenge were you trying to address with Teknika?

We needed to update an outdated app whose platform was being sunsetted by Apple.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Teknika updated our three-part mobile application. The team implemented front- and backend changes to make the app better and easier, quicker, and more appealing to customers. Teknika also updated the UI/UX to work better and quicker with a refreshed backend to elevate the customer's experience many times over. The team also made some tweaks, most of which were for backend functions. Teknika refreshed some customer interfaces to guide customers in their choices.

We worked with four teammates from Teknika.

Teknika reached out to me directly.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2024–October 2025.

Customer feedback was great. We had more customers accepting deliveries, and sales increased.

How did Teknika perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via email and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Teknika's ability to expand on my ideas and make them functional was impressive.

I didn't think there was anything they could improve on.

I’m the President of Chaos Audio, a company that develops innovative guitar technology designed to enhance the playing experience, offering advanced features for musicians.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Teknika?

We needed support with the development of our mobile applications and other software tools.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Teknika has developed our Android and iOS apps using .NET MAUI. In addition, the team has created our user account management backend, our internal tool to launch new software products on our marketplace, and the Mac and Windows desktop tool that users use to update their Stratus and Nimbus hardware (two physical electronic products we offer). Moreover, Teknika has assisted with some of the C++ development for the embedded Linux system on which our products run.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 6–7 teammates from Teknika over the years, and we’re currently working with two of them.

How did you come to work with Teknika?

Our primary investor referred Teknika to us. We chose them because they offered the most competitive pricing, and their management team was located in the US, in the same area of Florida where we’re based. Moreover, Teknika was very thorough in their discovery call, so it was obvious they had the experience and team necessary to complete our multiple projects.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Teknika in June 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Teknika follows proper, organized development and reporting principles. Currently, our mobile app is used by 1,500 users, and our free desktop software has been downloaded over 22,000 times. These metrics have allowed us to grow our brand and support the launch of our next product, Nimbus, which will be launched on Kickstarter in September 2025. We already have over 1,300 paid reservations for Nimbus before its launch.

How did Teknika perform from a project management standpoint?

Teknika typically delivers on time, although, as with any development project, we can never predict the future. Even when they’re behind schedule, Teknika is proactive about communication and never blindsides me. We primarily communicate via Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I love that I can meet with Frank (CEO) anytime here in Panama City since we’re located in the same city. He’s incredibly on the ball, and I’ll continue trusting him and the rest of the team moving forward after years of working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The transition from .NET Xamarin (which is now deprecated) to .NET MAUI has taken more time than expected. However, we’re close to launching a new version of our app that has been migrated to an entirely different framework. That takes a ton of effort, and we’re on track to have that migration completed this month. We would’ve been screwed had Teknika not been able to leap into action to make the migration happen.

I’m the managing attorney and owner of Ritter Elder Law, an elder law and estate planning firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Teknika?

When I started my own business, I needed website design and technical support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Teknika designed and developed my law firm’s website. The team created mock-ups and then implemented the design. The website had the ability to upload documents directly to me. Teknika also helped build another company I started before I hired an in-house IT professional.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 3–4 teammates from Teknika.

How did you come to work with Teknika?

Frank, Teknika's CEO and co-founder, and I have known each other since first grade. I reached out to him because of our personal relationship and my knowledge of Teknika’s good work.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–June 2022. However, Teknika still helps with ongoing updates and modifications.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Teknika delivered a completed website. After the website was launched, we saw a lot of client engagement.

How did Teknika perform from a project management standpoint?

Teknika’s project management was great. The team always delivered on time. We communicated through Microsoft Teams chats.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Teknika’s promptness in addressing issues and concerns was impressive. The team was also flexible in helping tailor the website to my needs and wants.

I can’t think of anything for Teknika to improve.
