I'm the VP of Digital Marketing & eCommerce for an airbrush beauty brand.

For what projects/services did your company hire Tekglide, and what were your goals?

We hired the Tekglide team to manage our migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2 - a large scale platform upgrade - that was a requirement for merchants on the legacy version to transition to but that also came with a host of compelling new features, enhanced security and on-site processing speed.

Our goals were to successfully complete the upgrade in one years time (achieved), on budget (achieved), and with minimal hiccups/quick resolution for any bugs post cutover (achieved!) We also looked to take advantage of the many new backend features available for stakeholders across the organization, many of which found daily tasks increase in efficiency with better solutions as a result.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have been long-time clients of the team at Tekglide so when the need to migrate arose, they made the most sense to engage with given their deep knowledge & vast experience with both Magento & development management of our current implementation.

We established key milestones over the year to hold both parties accountable & while sometimes delays in delivering our design comps moved goalposts slightly or customization issues turned a week dev task into two, all in all we were able to complete the project & launch our new sites on-time as originally planned.

Tekglide handled the data migration and front and backend development for two branded websites that included an entire content refresh & UX redesign in addition to the platform upgrade - in short, it was an ambitious plan but one that together with Tekglide's help, we ultimately pulled off successfully!

There were a few - from our main day-to-day contact & PM, to those team members responsible for the front & back end portions of the project, we regularly interfaced with roughly 4-5 over the entire course of the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They Tekglide team delivered high-quality work with only minimal errors, were super communicative & transparent throughout the duration of the project & post cut-over they worked diligently to correct any issues and deliver a bug-free environment on both the front & back ends of the site within 2-3 weeks of launch.

More than satisfied with the PM style of the Tekglide team, it was done primarily through email and a super user-friendly PM tool that made logging issues & keeping track of deliverables simple & easy to review & manage.

They worked within the parameters we'd set. They've made a daunting project far more simple to oversee because of the processes they employed at the beginning and maintained through the end.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a ton of experience in the space & especially with the various customizations that are often a part of any Magento implementation. They stay abreast of Magento's top features & functionalities. They are fast to respond, easy to work with, and do really great work at a really reasonable price.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were extremely accommodating from start to finish & cannot at recall an area where either myself or my team was unsatisfied with how things were managed or working with the Tekglide team in general.

They delivered the website development as per the Figma designs, and they delivered on time and within budget. They made amendments as necessary without extra cost to the project, and they always communicated well.

The measurable outcomes have been the constant and weekly communication between the Project Manager Asif Hafeez and I. He has been very valuable, positive, and supportive throughout this process. The whole team that I have come into contact with in some form has been very dedicated, helpful, and professional. I have felt very comfortable throughout this process working with TekGlide.

Asif has been on point with how he has managed this project. He has always made himself available within a timely manner with a response to suggestions, questions, or concerns that I may have had. He has also reached out to check on me on several ocassions to see how I am doing if he hasn't heard from me in a few days.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was just overall impressed with how Ali, the President of the company, took the time out of his schedule to meet with me virtually to discuss what TekGlide offers and how they can be of help to me. He took the time out to answer all of questions and responded back to documents that I needed a signature for within a timely manner. From my experiences, most Presidents of a company are not active in those types of settings. They usually have their team of employees to interact throughout the process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tekglide could have done differently?

As with any company, nothing is perfect, but there is truly nothing that I can think of that TekGlide can improve on. When I have questions or concerns, they're handled with excellent customer service and in a timely manner, which is very important to me.
