Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a small e-commerce site that sells women’s clothing and accessories.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tekglide?
We lost the developer who built our website, so we hired Tekglide for a variety of major and minor website adjustments and integrations.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tekglide provides us with web development services. They took over our site and picked up where our previous provider left off, working with Magento. The team has upgraded our site and integrated many different functionalities. For example, they’ve added a variety of plugins.
They’ve also made adjustments to the site’s design; they’ve done additional app-building to get the design to function the way it’s supposed to. The team has also done backend coding modifications. Additionally, Tekglide has made SEO-specific modifications to the site’s backend on my request. Currently, we have a small maintenance package with them.
What is the team composition?
I primarily work with a project manager, and there are two other people that I’ve been in touch with.
How did you come to work with Tekglide?
I found them online through a freelancer platform specifically for website developers. Before this engagement, I went through two different developers that I ultimately felt weren’t working for me, and then I found Tekglide.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent under $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website’s flow and UX have improved thanks to Tekglide’s work. Their SEO-focused modifications have also really helped improve the site, and the team easily accomplished them after I brought them to their attention. Overall, I’m very happy with Tekglide’s work, customer service, and timely responses. The team is reasonable and competent. If I have an emergency, they get back to me pretty quickly.
How did Tekglide perform from a project management standpoint?
They meet deadlines and stay on budget. Now that we’ve established a relationship, we text back and forth and have an ongoing communication thread. For video calls, we primarily use Zoom, though we’ve used Google Meet and various other tools.
We have meetings at the start of each project, so everybody is clear on our direction. If any hang-ups occur or something unusual comes up, Tekglide is always happy to have a Zoom meeting or phone call with us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate that Tekglide is easy to work with. Although I know a lot more than the average person, I still don’t know much about websites, and the team explains things professionally when I ask questions. They’re really honest, especially compared to other providers I’ve run into. Moreover, the team knows their stuff when it comes to technical aspects.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they need to improve; they’re good people to work with.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re new to websites and app integrations, Tekglide will be so helpful, and you’ll learn so much if you ask questions. Half the battle is understanding what things are right and wrong. You have to learn to advocate for yourself, and they’re super helpful in that process.

We hired Tekglide when our previous Web development team was overwhelmed with the scope of our project and requested to terminate their role in our website development.

We searched for a new website developer through our contacts and finally settled due to a recommendation from an associate of ours who was using the Tekglide team.

Since we hired the the Tekglide team after our we launched our website using our previous developer, our process was mainly putting out fires as they arose and then from their customizing the website to fit our needs.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager is our main point of contact and we had contact with one other developer besides him however I believe that he is backed up by more than one person.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I do not have any statistics on site traffic and clickthroughs but as our website keeps improving our customers are responding favorably however we are constantly finding and making additional improvements mainly in making our website easier to use for our customers.

We have weekly meetings with our project manager and use basecamp to communicate with the team. The response to our queries is very good.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were willing to teach us how to do some tasks ourselves. And are willing to work through some difficult accommodations due to our unusual client base.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Sometimes when we ask for a customization the Tekglide is willing to do the customization but tell us afterwards that the customization that we asked for is causing other issues. It would be better to warn us ahead of time so that we have the chance to make a decision whether or not to proceed with the particular customization that we asked for.
The only other area that is sometimes difficult is that sometimes there is a misunderstanding due to a language barrier. I have found that it is a good procedure for me to make notes of every meeting and post them to basecamp within a couple of days of the meeting however I do not always find the time to do this.

Tekglide specifically looked after our DTC web store, by managing our Woo Commerce and Wordpress installations. Our goals were to improve conversions rates, improve site stability and speed, and update templates to optimize CX.

We interviewed several vendors and ultimately felt that the cost and expertise that Tekglide offered were unmatched. They met our budget and were very responsive and easy to communicate with, especially given the time zone difference and that they were not native English speakers.

During our retainer agreement, Tekglide performed regular updates and site maintenance. They fixed bugs in our existing templates, built new templates, and helped optimize our shopping cart.

We worked with two people during the engagement, however, I believe there were others behind the scenes helping with our projects, especially QA. We worked with the firm owner and one of their chief engineers/developers.

Our site downtime decreased significantly from where it was before working with Tekglide. We saw improvements in conversion rate by up to 1% during our peak months.

I'm the VP of Digital Marketing & eCommerce for an airbrush beauty brand.
For what projects/services did your company hire Tekglide, and what were your goals?
We hired the Tekglide team to manage our migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2 - a large scale platform upgrade - that was a requirement for merchants on the legacy version to transition to but that also came with a host of compelling new features, enhanced security and on-site processing speed.
Our goals were to successfully complete the upgrade in one years time (achieved), on budget (achieved), and with minimal hiccups/quick resolution for any bugs post cutover (achieved!) We also looked to take advantage of the many new backend features available for stakeholders across the organization, many of which found daily tasks increase in efficiency with better solutions as a result.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We have been long-time clients of the team at Tekglide so when the need to migrate arose, they made the most sense to engage with given their deep knowledge & vast experience with both Magento & development management of our current implementation.

We established key milestones over the year to hold both parties accountable & while sometimes delays in delivering our design comps moved goalposts slightly or customization issues turned a week dev task into two, all in all we were able to complete the project & launch our new sites on-time as originally planned.
Tekglide handled the data migration and front and backend development for two branded websites that included an entire content refresh & UX redesign in addition to the platform upgrade - in short, it was an ambitious plan but one that together with Tekglide's help, we ultimately pulled off successfully!
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were a few - from our main day-to-day contact & PM, to those team members responsible for the front & back end portions of the project, we regularly interfaced with roughly 4-5 over the entire course of the project.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
They Tekglide team delivered high-quality work with only minimal errors, were super communicative & transparent throughout the duration of the project & post cut-over they worked diligently to correct any issues and deliver a bug-free environment on both the front & back ends of the site within 2-3 weeks of launch.

More than satisfied with the PM style of the Tekglide team, it was done primarily through email and a super user-friendly PM tool that made logging issues & keeping track of deliverables simple & easy to review & manage.
They worked within the parameters we'd set. They've made a daunting project far more simple to oversee because of the processes they employed at the beginning and maintained through the end.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have a ton of experience in the space & especially with the various customizations that are often a part of any Magento implementation. They stay abreast of Magento's top features & functionalities. They are fast to respond, easy to work with, and do really great work at a really reasonable price.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
They were extremely accommodating from start to finish & cannot at recall an area where either myself or my team was unsatisfied with how things were managed or working with the Tekglide team in general.

We do offline business of leather jackets after getting great response later we decided to sell our product through an online medium in across the globe. So we want a website where we can update our jacket's product on a daily basis and end-users easily buy it through an online payment. For this, they use the Shopify platform in creating our website.
