I am the VP of Operations for PickUp USA Fitness. We are a fast-growing basketball-focused fitness franchise currently operating 7 stores nationwide.

We organize daily PickUp games for our guests. To do so, we run a proprietary system to manage our queue. We've run our queue manually for years. Now that we are growing, it made sense for us to transition this system into a digital platform to streamline the process and build in more engaging features.

Tectera was referred by one of our most loyal members. After a brief consultation, it was clear that they understood our directives. They were professional, courteous, and prompt with their response.

The manual queueing system we've been using for years was translated to digital through a collaborative effort with the Tectera team. We initially scheduled an orientation call where we discussed the objectives (organize our games and create more guest engagement), the parameters (the current algorithmic sequence of our queueing system), and potential future upgrades.

They went to work immediately developing a prototype. We ran through the prototype together to address fixes. They were quick to make the changes and we were able to roll out the beta version of the Casey Queue at our corporate-owned store. The beta went rather well with a few fixes. Tectera was responsive and made the necessary adjustments. The next phase was to run the new software in our other stores. Tectera helped create a user guide doc and video to facilitate our nationwide roll-out.

After the first week or so of running the system in our other stores, we learned a few lessons. We are in ongoing discussions with the Tectera team to continue to upgrade the system to make it more engaging and be more efficient. Thankfully, the Tectera team is up for it! They have been a pleasure to work with so far and we look forward to expanding our program with their expert help!

There are 4 team members from Tectera that I believe have had a hand in the project. I am not too clear as to their actual positions. If I had to guess, there seems to be a mediator, a finance officer, and a development associate.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are still in the early stages of the project. That said, Tectera has been timely with their deliverables, meaning we set out a projected date of implementation and they meet it. As far as the guest response to the software they've helped develop, our members have responded favorably to the new digital version of our Casey Queue.

We still have a ways to go in terms of fulfilling our entire vision for this program. That said, we're off to an extremely promising start. We're encouraged to continue building on this project with Tectera's help.

We've communicated primarily through What'sApp (text, and occasional phone calls). When we share a group meeting, we've communicated via GoogleMeet. Time zones have been one of the few challenging parts of this collaboration. The developers are based in Sri Lanka while we are based out of Los Angeles, CA.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are friendly, professional, timely, and a pleasure to work with. Best of all, They're collaborative, and they really seek to understand and meet our goals.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Time zones have been the most challenging part of the collaboration. Outside of that, the Tectera team has been great!

I too learnt a lot. Not even that, they do SEO and digital marketing, which is a plus point to us.

Outcome is very professional. They have the correct people to make the website and the skill levels are high. Our website getting visible in many forums and I get inquiries, which means the work done was perfect.

They provide updates and guide us on the exact details that they want. Help us by introducing various other partners such as content writers, etc. They have a structure and a plan for every project, which is easy for us to know when we can get the outcome.

Tectera and the team was hired to give us an end-to-end solution for a mobile marketplace website that had complete vendor management and a seamless frontend UI/UX for comparing prices of mobile phones within the domestic market.

An experienced Business Analyst and two more senior developers handling both the frontend and backend separately.

It was an unmeasurable success as the product delivered had not only achieved key deliverables, but went beyond to include more features such as a search engine with options to filter upto 12 different specifications.

We had weekly meetings with the Business Analyst who would give us a round up of upto date progress, explaining us the revisions and taking in feedback from client whilst scheduling the next phase of work. The team at Tectera planned the project over 3 stages and was able to achieve each stage on time. We were on Jira the whole time and was quite happy with their response time.

tectera created a comprehensive, mobile-friendly website with colors that flowed while remaining within our brand guidelines. We only had a digital marketing budget of $100, but they’ve managed to give us a revenue of about $15,000. Overall, we are pleased with tectera’s work. If our clients need more detail, we send them straight to our website, and everything they need is presented clearly to them.

Their project management is excellent — they stick to the deadlines and are very responsive and professional. We communicate through email and WhatsApp.
