We engaged TechRover to build a digital purchase order form.  We initially started with a template in a Word document, and they developed an automatic PDF creator feature that matched that template.  It was a complex feature because the PDF pulled in data from various points in our application.

It was a very defined scope that included a full feature deliverable.  The feature was delivered in time, on budget, and fit our spec exactly.

They staff engineers and project managers on every project, so there is good communication and alignment on requirements.  Techrover is also tremendous value for offshoring in my opinion - low cost and good quality.

OVERVIEW 

Develop a pre-MVP Proof of Concept (POC) app that allows users to engage with an AI agent by asking questions and receiving answers based on historical data gathered from their frequently used mobile apps (e.g., Calendar, Photos) and online services such as Gmail, Facebook, and Instagram.

SCOPE 

Create a functional iPhone app with the following core features:

Search Functionality 

Implement natural language search utilizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vectorized databases, and large language models (LLMs) to deliver precise, contextual responses to user queries, complete with linkable citations to the relevant source apps. 

Data Source Selection & Sync 

Provide users with the ability to select and authorize specific data sources (e.g., iPhone Calendar, Photos, Location) for AI-powered searches. The authorized data will be synced to a data center and vectorized for optimal AI processing.

Profile Management 

Enable users to manage their personal profiles, including selecting approved data sources and adding supplemental memory artifacts to enhance search results.

User Authentication 

Implement secure login and advanced security measures to protect user data, ensuring complete isolation and privacy.

Ensure all community features such as feeds, following, notifications, check-ins, etc are redesigned and deployed prior to end of Oct.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Delivered assigned work items during each sprint on time, which in turned allowed team to go live with new application on the planned go live timeline. This will a full replace of existing application, so the team was unable to push items to production as completed. This required a lot of coordination between the different groups.

Historically we have used handheld / wired device to configure our flame detectors in the field. This was our first attempt to break free of wires and use mobile apps as configurator. Tech Rover provided technical support to Forney's engineers from early stage of the project until its launch. TechRover Solutions Inc has continued to provide excellent support to update the Apps from time to time and to imorve UX.
