I work for a company in the pharmaceutical industry. I am a process engineer and I was already an operational efficiency engineer.

For what projects/services did your company hire TechRivo?

Giving use to my knowledge about the sector, I wanted to participate in one of the Healthcare challenges of European Grants in the Scope of Horizon 2020. The grant expected us to use data from several data sources to predict drug consumption in several locations.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My background is in engineering and pharma. I knew what to do in the business side of the solution and what data we would use. On the other hand, I needed a Technical partner to help me with the MVP development. The idea was that a partner could focus on the architecture, API integrations, and machine learning to the predictive part and I could focus on the business part of the solution and grant procedures.

We discussed the requirements. Then TechRivo team evaluated their feasibility and impact on the solution. After that first phase, we developed a prototype so that some real users could try the solution and provide the first feedback. In a third phase, the platform was developed to match the grant requirements.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In the different phases of the project, several people played a role. I remember the project manager, the business analyst, the system architect, the designer, a machine learning engineer, and then three or four developers in the last phase.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the end, we had a functioning MVP that we were able to refer to in our grant application. The MVP was able to collect data from several data sources and then apply learned rules to predict drug consumption in 1 location. The predictions were revealed to be relevant and precise enough to have a business case.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was normal. Just like expected when you work with top-performing teams.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The vendor had a wide range of expertise from machine learning to digital marketing and design. The most impressive was how they put it all together to have an MVP in the end.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't remember nothing relevant at the moment.

I am the Founder of Voblikov & Costa Fundraising. We provide consultancy services for late stage StartUps looking to raise funds.

For what projects/services did your company hire TechRivo, and what were your goals?

We hire TechRivo to help us out on the technical side of our business. Basically, we manually gathered data from several data sources and TechRivo built a system able to automate that process.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This company was advised to me by a University colleague, working on the same field as i do. After the first call with TechRivo, we immediately knew that they were the ones, due to a high range comprehension of the domain.

In a first step we meet several times to define the scope of work and system requirements. After that, the team was autonomous enough to present us an analyzes document with the entire infrastructure described in detail. in a third stage, the development team implemented the solution using famous systems like Mozenda (for data scrapping) and MongoDB as a data base provider. During the entire process we were able to follow the process by using Jira Software.

They were 4 people, the CTO, the project manager/business analyst and 2 developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to gather ten times more data to deliver on our reports. Apart from that, the automations allowed us to focus on our core business services.

The project manager kept us updated on the progress, even when the project was delayed. It was always good for us to have a clear picture of the entire scope. They used specific software to track task and a weekly project status meeting to communicate the progress.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team was always available, flexible and committed. I believe that it might be related with their small size and great team spirit.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had to wait for a month to kickoff the development phase, due to the team unavailability, for having other projects before our. It would be better to have them on demand, but i guess that is the price to pay to have the right people on your project.

I'm the owner of a Real Estate investing Company. Our business relies mostly on buying and selling (flipping houses). So I can say that we are experts in renewing real estate properties. We also have some local touristic units that we explore.

With the increasing competition on the sector we started to have difficulties on combining all the data available and make the best choices for property investments. TechRivo provided services on software development in order to build a system that is able to collect real estate data and provide us useful investment insights.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I've worked before with one of the co-founders. When I first talked with him about the project, he enlightened me with the best approach. I felt that it would make business and technical sensed we started right away collecting the requirements.

First we had two introductory meetings. After that we had an analysis phase which was essencial to define the scope of work and how the system would look like in the end. In the third step, they developed a prototype and delivered a functional and technical analysis of the requirements ( including system architecture and work breakdown structure ). Then they started the core development using a clear SDLC and weekly report meetings. In the end we had a delivery meeting with the entire team where the PM demo the software.

We worked directly with CEO, CTO, Project Manager and occasionally with the designer and Frontend Developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After using the system, we saved tremendous amounts of time in analysis tasks. Also have a more clear idea of the real value of our investment wallet. We have measured outcomes of this initiative, although this is sensible information.

All the time, we had a close relation with the leading team. I think this was something different from what we had previously with other providers. At a weekly basis, we had a clear view of the project progress. All the subjects were treated with kindness and professionalism.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Seems like they have a small number of customers. For that reason I felt that they have more attention to detail on each one of them. I felt also that they have an huge experience in technology and web development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly, I think they work great as a team and I have nothing to declare. They did what I wanted and what my company needed. So I was very pleased.

We undertook a multi year process to integrate our Membership management System (Wild Apricot) with a cloud based, secure motorsport management, admin & compliance system.

We have since included Historic Vehicle management, motorkhana timing display and live entrant data.

How did you select TechRivo and what were the deciding factors?

We ran a Guru.com tender, interviewing the top 4 responses. The vendor was thoughtful, a good listener and the price was very reasonable - which is important for a NFP using member's funds. This impression was correct, and has been proven over and over.

Postgre database layer with Java customer layer. Integration with Wild Apricot via their app. Integration with a secure S3 bucket for data security.

The create a CAS software package that integrated with our CRM that allowed easier management of motorsport days.

As a result of my work in my present company I developed a side project in which I developed a CRM with specific automations to the automotive products' customer relations.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

One of the founders was on my network (worked with me in past projects) and I reached out to him to help me with this current project.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

In a first stage we discussed the current approach of the system. The CTO on TechRivo had some technical calls with one of my developers to understand the current state of the solution. In a second stage we had a batch of business oriented meetings to define some requirements of the system.

We ended up developing a Technical Analysis document where the current state of the system is mapped and some recommendations for updates in the architecture are suggested and demonstrated.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

My first contact was Ruben, the Project manager, the Technical part was handled by Patryk, the CTO and I had also a meeting with António the CEO.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The recommendations to the new system architecture are key to turn the system cheap, scalable and flexible.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was really good. We never talked with middle managers or commercial people. We went directly to what matters.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a small team with several fields of expertise. The relation is informal witch helped them to be frontal in the things we were doing wrong.

Nothing comes to my mind for now.
