I’m one of the owners of Sky Vapors, a series of stores. We have 10 stores and are about to have 11 or 12 at the end of the year. We have small shops and walk-in cigar rooms.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechLoom Global?

We had a lot of problems with inventory. We had a lot of products, and many inventory systems couldn’t handle them. We had nine stores and over 100,000 products.  We needed help to create an inventory system for all the stores that shared the same products.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechLoom Global developed an inventory system for our company. The team did everything from scratch. We went back and forth with stuff we wanted to improve and customize, especially for us. We wanted easier ways to put invoices in the system and make each invoice accurate, since we receive several invoices and orders weekly.

I worked with one person who talked to the management team.

A mutual friend knew about TechLoom Global. We set up a couple of meetings to see what they could do for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $70,000–$75,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from July–October 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In general, we were nervous to go on this project because we weren’t very techie, and it sounded impossible to do in the beginning. As we worked together, our confidence went up, especially with every meeting. TechLoom Global made the process as simple and smooth as possible. 

Every time we saw a little detail, TechLoom Global fixed it right away. Entering purchasing orders and invoices in the system was much easier. The system was custom-made for our company, so it was the perfect site. Surprisingly, there weren’t any bugs or glitches. TechLoom Global was very professional and delivered high-quality work.

How did TechLoom Global perform from a project management standpoint?

Understanding how big the project was, TechLoom Global did great. The project ended about a week or two late, but the communication was clear. I knew what was happening. I don't like feeling lost in projects. If a project is delayed and I don't know what's happening, I don't like it. We communicate via email, Zoom, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

TechLoom Global's communication was very good and clear. If it wasn’t for that, we wouldn’t have started the project. We were very nervous and didn’t know exactly what we wanted to do, but the team's communication made it very clear what we were going to do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything TechLoom Global could improve; they were pretty good overall.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Expect a lot of talking to TechLoom Global. You have to be as clear and detailed as you can because it helps them a lot. The team is very clear with what they want and need, so that helps a lot.
