We are a Private Equity Real Estate Firm. I'm the Managing Partner.

For what projects/services did your company hire Tech Superpowers?

We've outsourced all of our IT needs to TSP - including: management of all our computers and IT systems, dealing with Cyber Security issues, audio/video for conf. rooms and offices and management of mobile devices.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We started working with TSP back in 1999. They're very smart, responsive, and know how to architect anything we need and are very service oriented.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

As noted, we've been working with them since 1999 and they've taken care of all of our IT needs - setting up our IT infrastructure, onboarding employees from a technology perspective, supplying us with all the needed equipment (computers/servers/backup systems) and periodically updating all of them. They've also installed robust Cyber security systems for us.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our main point of contact is their CEO and CTO but they also run a help desk so we've probably dealt with most of their employees at one point or another.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They've successfully executed on every project they've undertaken for us as well as providing us with excellent ongoing services. Since we've worked with them since 1999, they've done so many projects for us that is hard to recall them all. Last year, we did a major office renovation and they ensured that we were all able to work remotely and made sure everything was up and running when we moved back into the office.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective - TSP had a dedicated team for this project and we also had a team in place which frequently interacted with TSP.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very thoughtful, competent and customer focused. I think that given the fact we've been using them since 1999 says everything.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Over the years I'm sure one or two things have come up, but nothing that was deemed sufficiently critical to be brought to my attention.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the office manager of a commercial real estate attorneys firm. We’re a small office with three attorneys.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Superpowers?

When we first started working with Tech Superpowers, we needed help setting up Mac computers for our staff. Back then, we were a bigger firm, and our partners had Mac personal computers, so they wanted to make the transition for the whole office.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Superpowers has provided on-site assistance and helped set up Mac hardware and software. Initially, they would come weekly since, at that time, they couldn’t do many remote procedures. They've assisted us with a big transition process.

Additionally, Tech Superpowers has set up our work emails, addressed cybersecurity concerns, and improved our network. We’ve just updated our email to Microsoft 365, and we’ve been working from home for the past two years, so everything is on the cloud. 

We work with Tech Superpowers under a yearly contract that includes IT maintenance and assistance. They update our software in the background. 

What is the team composition?

We work with different specialists from Tech Superpowers; some meet with us, and others work on our project behind the scenes. 

How did you come to work with Tech Superpowers?

I wasn’t the first person that engaged with Tech Superpowers, so I don’t know the details of the initial process, though I believe we found them through a referral. When we first contacted Tech Superpowers, they were one of the only companies in Boston that could do what we were looking for.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $200,000 with Tech Superpowers. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with Tech Superpowers since July 2008, and our partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re satisfied with Tech Superpowers’ work. We’ve been working with them for a long time and received offers to change our service provider, but we’re not interested. By working with Tech Superpowers, we don’t have to worry about anything.

How did Tech Superpowers perform from a project management standpoint?

We have excellent communication with Tech Superpowers. Once they give us a quote, they break it down and explain everything to us, and when we’re ready to go, they’re prepared to get us on board. The onboarding process is always easy.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, we had in-person meetings with Tech Superpowers. Now, we have a dedicated email and a ticketing system where we can ask for support when needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tech Superpowers provides great technical support. All their staff are really knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help us. Tech Superpowers has provided excellent follow-up and has been a good partner for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Tech Superpowers to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend you do your due diligence because Tech Superpowers is one of the best companies in this area.
