I'm the co-founder of the newly started company and project manager for this project. We are a B2B service company for furniture brands, architect agency, and other similar agencies.

They are developing a website for us. They are doing everything from scratch with full-stack development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched and were in talks with a lot of web agencies. The reason we choose them was that we felt very comfortable with their expertise, they laid out a very good roadmap of the project and their communication skills were very good and professional unlike other Indians that we have been in touch with.

First stage: UI/UX Second stage: Front-end. Third stage: Back-end with AWS.

We were communicating mostly with 2 persons, on was a developer and the other guy was a project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcome so far is a beautiful looking website, very user friendly, and fast loading. All the things we wanted.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The project management was good, nothing there to complain about. We communicated via phone and Slack mostly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I myself as the project manager has a lot of knowledge in web development but I got very impressed with their knowledge, it was for sure on another level.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't find something that they could have done better.

They helped us build a Facebook page, and get a domain name. From there, they advised us on which platform to use, as well as plug-ins that are best. For our MVP, they’re working with us and also creating our website using WordPress.

I found them online. I felt they were professional, and a good company to work with on the project. They were willing to give advice even before we hired them.

We’ve spent $3,000.

We began working together around August 2019 and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the website yet, so there aren’t any statistics to share at this point. However, they focus on satisfying the customer and I’m happy with their work so far.

How did Tech Miles perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a relaxed timeline, and they are staying within the discussed budget. Their communication is very good. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re friendly and communicate very clearly. English isn’t my first language, but we’ve had no trouble understanding each other.

No, not that I can think of.

The team at Tech Miles developed our CRM using Prodigy. The platform allows us to interact and record our business. They also built the back office.

We found Tech Miles through a Google search. I used to live in London and saw some of their great advertising there.

We started working with Tech Miles in June 2016, and our engagement ended in February 2017.

We enjoyed working with Tech Miles. Google Analytics shows us how their work has improved our business. I’m absolutely satisfied.

Their team understood our business needs very well. Along with their fantastic project managers, they have excellent communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Besides understanding our needs, the team at Tech Miles kept us informed about what they were doing.

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Clients need to explain what they want. Try not to tell them what to do, but rather what you need. You can find out how to do it together.

I’m the founder of a website that allows users to bet on themselves to achieve their goals. For example, a person can bet $30 on themselves to lose 4% of their body weight within a timeframe of four weeks. If they succeed, they get money out of it, but if they fail, they lose the payment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Miles?

I needed a development team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Miles designed and developed my platform from scratch, using a PHP framework. Challenges are created by the system or by admins. Users can log in and join a challenge through the site. After that, they will receive an automated email that explains the next steps.

After the challenge starts, they will get emails that prompt them to upload pictures or type in their weight. If something is missing, the system will recognize it and send a reminder for the information. The backend is fully automated. I work on the site for 15 minutes a week myself, and the rest is done by scripts.

How did you come to work with Tech Miles?

I was looking for developers on UpWork and Freelancer. I believe I found Tech Miles on Freelancer. After seeing positive feedback from their customers, I chose them. I also liked the communication and what I would receive for my money.

How much have you invested with them?

I invested between $35,000–$38,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started with Tech Miles in May 2016, and we worked together until the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With the website, we’re earning more money than we were previously. Since Tech Miles helped with our SEO, we have around 800 active users. We still work together on smaller projects from time to time.

How did Tech Miles perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a rough start with communication. I think they changed managers or team members, and it wasn’t transparent in the beginning. They also had a few holidays. It was communicated to me but on short notice. But after discussing it, it only happened one time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with several other developers. Most of the time, they said they would get to issues the next day. With Tech Miles, I can reach them 24/7. They also fix problems within half an hour or an hour.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really. Any issues we had, we solved at the beginning of the relationship. I’m happy to work with Tech Miles at any time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to have a clear understanding of what’s needed and to write everything down. For me, it wasn’t clear that every specific thing needed to be mentioned in the agreement. Clients looking to work with Tech Miles should know what they want in advance and write it down as detailed as possible.

I am the owner and director of DK Global Recruitment. We're a recruitment company located in Ireland, but we operate throughout all the European countries.

Specializing in call center recruitment, we work with large multi-national clients who have a few thousand employees but need our help to staff large projects. They hire us to help them find employees throughout Europe.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Miles?

We needed help with web design and CRM development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

At first, we started with design project with them while developing our CRM. They assisted with the design and development of multiple modules relating to project and job management. Additionally, they helped us set up our servers and software through Amazon. In their development work, they've been working in PHP.

In the beginning, we started by giving them smaller projects such as designing a page for the CRM, but they're now doing both the design and the development. We're creating an online account for candidates that will allow them to process their applications themselves. Their team is developing this technology for us.

What is the team composition?

We work with several people, including the project manager and a designer. Their developers are designers as well, so we don’t have a need to hire additional designers. Our team is always in contact with them.

How did you come to work with Tech Miles?

We found them on Upwork. I posted the job there, and they contacted me. Since then, we have been working together on different projects.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent between €30,000–€50,000 so far (approximately $33,688–$72,833 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in 2018, and the work is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their developers are really good. They're always available on Skype. I can contact them late into the evening, and they're easily accessible. I give them feedback, and they fix it. We have a very good relationship. I cannot complain about anything.

How did Tech Miles perform from a project management standpoint?

Their timing is good. I manage the projects myself, tracking everything on my own. So, there's involvement from them on project management. The system we set up has been very good—they've even worked on weekends.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're fully available all the time. Any time we have an issue, we can contact them. They are very easy going and they don’t argue. When they work, they put all their effort into a project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could standardize themselves a little bit more. Overall, their quality of work is good. However, it would be great if they could organize and react to feedback a bit more.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It's easy to work with them if you explain the project in good detail. Communication is the key.

The good thing about them is that they are very cost-effective. I have no hesitation about working with them again.
