We needed someone to build a web app for us to be able to communicate.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, I told Tech Exactly what I wanted from the web app and provided them with documentation beforehand. We then broke down the project into three sprints, explaining what each one would consist of for me to approve. After my approval, they went through the development process until completion.

Our web app has a chat option and a search engine. Users can register as either players or clubs, and through the app, these clubs are able to connect with other clubs or players to meet and sign contracts.

Players must fill in a questionnaire and their resume whenever they sign up. Based on a subscription model, clubs can register and see players, search for the one they want, and chat with them through the chat functionality.

What is the team composition?

Around 4–5 people from Tech Exactly worked with us on the project. I worked directly with the CEO, who then assigned a project manager to our account. Additionally, there were developers involved throughout the project.

I found them online. I also had interviews with other companies, but Tech Exactly demonstrated a higher level of communication. They followed up constantly and were more cost-effective than the others.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tech Exactly delivered what I asked for within my budget. As the quality of their work was very good, the value for the money we got was the real success of our engagement. Furthermore, the product they created has helped my business succeed. Now, we have around 125 players and 27 clubs registered on our platform.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Tech Exactly’s project management was on point, meeting deadlines. We communicated through email and Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tech Exactly was very good at delivering on time and at a good cost.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if Tech Exactly offered a 24-hour service. Their communication was good, but due to the time difference, we sometimes had meetings at 7 p.m. our time, which was past our workday.

Go for it! They’re very good and offer an unbeatable competitive price. Tell them exactly what you want, and they will deliver; they do what they promise.

They take constructive feedback really well and improve on it right away, so I can’t think of anything the could change further than that.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Exactly?

I started developing an iOS app, but I needed an experienced developer or team to help me develop the Android version.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We discussed the iOS version of the app I had already developed and gave them access to the latest build on TestFlight. Then, I provided an extensive sketch file with user flows, screens, designs, and branding.

Since then, they’ve handled the game creation process, invitations, user authentication, pairing, connecting the frontend to the backend, and making sure the store functions properly and securely.

The app is an interactive gaming service. Users can upload videos, pictures, and audio recordings to create games where they will become communal and sharable. The games will be shared via private links. There will also be in-app purchases available.

What is the team composition?

I work with roughly six people, including Hitesh (Founder), Priyanka (Project Manager), and developers.

How did you come to work with Tech Exactly?

I researched individual developers and teams. I felt most confident with Tech Exactly’s plan for the project, as well as their pricing and timeline.

We’ve spent $30,000–$40,000 is the contracted price for the project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around January 2021 and the project is ongoing. My app will launch this summer at which point we will revise our contract to reflect the evolving requirements and establish a long term relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t completed the app, so I don’t have metrics to share, but the quality of their work is good. I believe that Tech Exactly’s team has all the ingredients they need to meet our requirements. They’ve earned my trust by taking the time to understand my ideas for the app. Along the way, their effective problem-solving skills has helped them overcome hurdles.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re extremely organized when it comes to management and communication. They set up a Google drive for sharing documentation, graphics, sketch files, etc. We communicate via Skype and Slack, meeting 2-3 times per week. They respect and value my time, money and success just as much as their own and work diligently to understand my project so they can set a trajectory that is beneficial for everybody involved. They are transparent, which makes it easy for me to have hard conversations with them when needed. Their development process is surprisingly fast-paced.     

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is attentive — they listen as much as they speak. They’re willing to explore different perspectives, ideas, and angles to prevent me from getting tunnel-vision on certain things.

Unlike other partners I’ve worked with in the past, they are not condescending. Their customer service and adaptability are quite impressive. It feels like we are partners working together towards a goal rather than an external vendor.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything to point out or criticize.

Before working with anyone, it helps to gather as many resources as you can to solidify your idea. This allows other stakeholders to pick your brain and vice versa. If you like to work closely with your development team, this is a good company for you.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Exactly?

We needed a company to redo all of our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Tech Exactly redeveloped our WordPress site, doing all of the heavy-lifting within our framework and adding in custom features. Those included a scheduling platform, custom forms, and a client portal that provided tailored data to our clients.

They also cleaned up the look and feel of the frontend. By adding sliders and some multimedia content, we were able to improve the navigation structure. The team revamped the logo graphics, too. I was pretty demanding about how I wanted things, which didn’t faze them at all. They just put everything together to make things work seamlessly.

What is the team composition? 

Hitesh (Director) was my primary contact, but I worked with 3–4 others depending on what we were doing. Each individual worked behind the scenes and brought their own unique skill set to the team. They worked well together and kept me updated.

How did you come to work with Tech Exactly?

I searched on Google for companies that had WordPress experience and chose Tech Exactly because of Hitesh. He was positive, personable, and interested in working with us. 

I liked their pricing structure, too,  because they were willing to be flexible. At the time, my scope of work wasn’t that well-defined, so they agreed to support me on an ongoing basis. They would just deliver projects and move on to the next phase.

They knew we had a limited budget yet high expectations, and they were willing to work with us. We did three phases at $700 each.

I found them around June 2018, and they got us to a good point about three months later. I plan to reengage with them to customize some more organic SEO elements and do some backlinking for us as we branch out to more commercial-facing projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

While I don’t have concrete marketing metrics about the site, I appreciate how much they’ve polished our site. I put my website on every email that I send out, and I know that anyone who clicks on the link will encounter a professional image of my company. They’ll see an established business that isn’t a mom-and-pop shop — which is funny because we actually are a mom-and-pop shop.

Our insurance provider even wanted to raise our premiums because they saw the site and thought we were an international security conglomerate!

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Tech Exactly did everything that they said they would, communicating with us through email, screen sharing tools, and Zoom meetings. As our website administrators, their team had complete login rights to our site. That shows that we trust them completely.  

The team didn’t have any problems with keeping up with my schedule, either. I couldn’t always review their deliverables as quickly as possible, which slowed things down, but it all worked out just fine. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They took our ideas and presented creative solutions that made them better.

No, I can’t think of anything. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Hire Tech Exactly. They’ll do a fantastic job at a much more reasonable cost than a lot of other companies that charge a flat fee. It’s professional-grade quality with a lot of customization, flexibility, and attention to detail.

I was looking for a company to redevelop an in-house software product we had originally created 20 years ago. We revisited it 10 years ago and needed it brought up to 2019 standards.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Exactly was tasked to rewrite the solution, using new thought processes and some of the old concepts attributed in the system.

It’s an in-house software program we use to capture daily sales and cash reconciliation, for lack of a better term. We call it cash management in theory. Essentially, it’s a tool to record and count daily sales. They used the Angular framework. We’re almost wrapping up the developmental stage. We’re looking to go into testing within the next 45 days or so.

An internal team member worked with Tech Exactly on an app and introduced me to them. I wasn’t involved in that project whatsoever. However, this is how I came to know of Tech Exactly and engaged them for this opportunity. They weren’t on my radar prior to this.

Our ongoing engagement started in 2018.

We hold weekly meetings with their team to track progress, status, and concepts. This allows us to see what needs to be changed, fixed, or developed further.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done a great job of meeting goals and deadlines as well as producing what was described in the scope of work. Their team has done a good job of adapting without hesitation when we’ve discovered needed scope changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tech Exactly has done a professional job. They’ve met or exceeded my expectations.

No, there’s nothing they need to drastically or even slightly improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have weekly or biweekly touch bases to make sure the project is going in the direction you want it to. That’s been invaluable to us. It keeps it fresh and keeps you on task. Both sides will manage expectations if you keep communication wide open.

The actual solution we offer consists of two applications. We needed application development services. The initial development started with a Ukrainian partner, but the communication and flow weren’t very good. That’s why I looked elsewhere.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Exactly did all of the application development for us. They developed for iOS and Android, and they also developed a backend platform that essentially links the two platforms together. There’s a number of other things we get done in the backend. They have enhanced the initial driver distraction prevention solution with a number of features. Their team also optimized the flow of that solution on both iOS and Android as well as the backend platform. 

We also developed a platform that uses part of the driver app code, but there were a lot of new enhancements. Part of their task was to develop a completely new application and use as much as possible from an existing one to make sure we maintained cost as well as time to market. 

They manage everything for me and do all of the troubleshooting. Anytime there’s an Android upgrade, they make sure we’re not only compliant but also that the app works as intended.

I’m not sure how I came across them, but I think it was through an introduction. I may have done an internet search for app development in India. The communication, the solution, the overall pricing, and the approach were really good. That’s why I’ve been working with them since.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The best measure has been the amount of time I spend describing something that I need, and the speed at which they can get things done. I haven’t used other metrics. They’re very good, as is their understanding. They completely understand the objective of the product. 

Recently, we wanted to expand one of the apps. I described what we wanted, and they came back with a complete list of all of the things that they’d need to do to make it happen. The communication is great, and they’re able to deliver on what a feature is intended to be.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has been as good as I can expect it to be. This is the second app developer I’ve outsourced with, and they have been much better than the previous one. It doesn’t even compare. We have a personal relationship. 

They know what we want, and they can deliver on that. I don’t have to repeatedly explain everything from scratch to a team of thousands of people. I work directly with the project manager who knows the solution front-to-back. That person knows all of our challenges, so they can make suggestions and solve problems very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’ve always been very responsive, and that is really important for me. They have the ability to understand what I’m looking for. I get really good value for the price they charge. Anytime there’s an issue, they’re proactive about letting me know, and we fix it. There’s no disruption.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I haven’t had any complaints. For the size that we are, for the product that we have, and for the expansion plans that I have for the company, they’re very well suited, and I intend on working with them for a long time.

Make sure your project is well-defined. Once they have that information, they can definitely come up with something that more accurately matches what you want. The more information you give them, the better for all.

We brought them on board for the development of a mobile app because I didn’t have development experience. The information about music improving the quality of life for those living with Alzheimer's existed but there wasn’t a platform that brought technology and music together. Also, there wasn’t an application that brought the family nostalgia element into the platform to help users with memory recall and positive mood enhancement.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Exactly developed both an Android and iOS mobile app. They created basic wireframes based on my ideas for features and functionalities. Then, their team essentially built three apps in one because the product’s functions account for three different users.

They built functions for family caregivers who can dispense timed playlists. These users can also deploy listening sessions to help the individual living with Alzheimer’s.

Another user’s the individual with Alzheimer’s who receives playlists on their profile. Outside family members who aren’t direct caregivers can send playlists with photo carousels.

Their team also developed a B2B component where individuals who work in assisted living facilities can receive playlists and have all the individuals in the facility on the app. Each room is cast with their own profile and can receive playlists from loved ones outside the facility.

They created functions that give any user the ability to deploy music and family nostalgia for quality of life improvement, which doesn’t stop as individuals move on to the next phase of care.

Hitesh (Founder) managed all of the elements prior to the actual development phase. When we got into the development, I was assigned a project manager. The founder was still involved throughout the project.

How did you come to work with Tech Exactly?

For the better part of 2019, I worked with a consultant who had great success in building an app with Tech Exactly. As I started to look in the market, I leaned more towards an offshore vendor because of the budget. I’m self-funded, so I needed to be mindful of budget efficiency. Given my consultant’s previous experience, I went through a rigorous interview process with Tech Exactly. I did my due diligence to understand whether or not they had both the capabilities and the vision to execute the project. At every step, Tech Exactly continued to build my confidence in them.

We started the engagement in April 2019 and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They translated my ideas into a functional application that’s easy to understand. Tech Exactly responded to any changes to the UX/UI that I requested. When the product was ready for a beta launch, I requested another layer for the UX/UI. Their team adapted quickly and implemented the changes layer. I’ve been impressed with them.

Although I had to hit pause on the project, their team continued to move it forward. Now, a small group is testing the beta product, which is a major win for me. Their efforts enable the product to engage everyone in the care cycle.

As well, I’m able to present the beta to the public and build excitement around the app’s release. The beta’s incredible because the functional APKs assist in fundraising. Their work’s hugely important because we’re able to make people understand that we have a digital health solution to deliver.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

We held three Zoom calls a week. Hitesh was professional and ran efficient calls. He wrote thorough summaries and meeting minutes to make sure that we were on the same page. Their team was willing to do more, even responding on Sunday nights. Their team communicated timelines well and stuck to them, which I appreciated. Their team adapted to anything that we needed in terms of schedule. They’re flexible and good communicators.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tech Exactly provides excellent, consistent deliveries. Their value, communication, and deliverables are top-notch. I’m impressed with their ability to bring the functionalities and elements that I had in my mind for a long time to life. Their team incorporated my vision into the app well. They’re extremely efficient and proactive, delivering products early. Their high-level of adaptability ensured that they satisfied all of my requests. They fixed bugs immediately. slight tweaks and changes to the visuals. Their services are an incredible bang for my buck.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I was worried about the cost but that’s not a knock to them. I didn’t understand that on the backend, any changes that we made required their team to devote time. Tech Exactly becomes more efficient as time wears on. There was never a time when they didn’t take my feedback well. We added on elements but never had bad communication.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re thinking about an offshore vendor, there’s tremendous value in high-touch communication. A colleague of mine worked on a project onshore that cost between 4–5 more than this engagement. Tech Exactly does a good job consistently.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tech Exactly invested time to understand my goals and ideas for the platform. Their team gave feedback. They helped to ensure the efficiency of the project and the practicality of my ideas. Their team then created a 4–5 month schedule with the actions needed to build the platforms.

Their team built an iOS app and an Android that enables bar and restaurant owners to register and add information for display in an organized manner. I created sketches based on my goal, which was to make the UX perfect. They provided feedback on the UX, explaining how best to structure the information provided by users. They also used CSS to build a website

Their team was involved in the project outside of the development. For example, I didn’t have the terms and conditions established and Tech Exactly provided a standard form.

I found them online and liked that they offered a free call. I paid for their team to sketch the UX, which I liked. Then, I connected with the CEO and enjoyed our conversation. We talked for longer than I expected, so I decided to trust Tech Exactly with the project.

In the beginning, we expected to pay $22,000. I decided to implement changes based on user research. Those changes increased the project’s cost by $4,000–$5,000.

The project started in August 2018 and finished in December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our users are content with the experience that our platforms provide. The apps are user-friendly which was the biggest development challenge. Our community members registered and used the apps as expected. The main success is our happy users who enroll in our monthly subscription.

We had problems with the app in the beginning but Tech Exactly fixed them. They ran tests based on traffic and put adjustments in place so that the app doesn’t crash.  

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Tech Exactly was always in contact with me via email and phone. They set the budget and time for the project, both of which were met. Every week if not more often, we held a phone call. We also had scheduled appoints for which their team was on time. Their team was ahead of the game—calling with ideas for the products. Their team didn’t just take orders, which added a lot of value for me. While we had communication challenges sometimes, it always worked out.

What did you find most impressive about them?

With other providers, owners don’t call to talk with you. Tech Exactly made the experience personal to build a relationship with me.  I still talk to the company’s owner.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there are areas for improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do as much market research as possible. Tech Exactly doesn’t offer that service, so it depends on your organization. We can make decisions based on assumptions and that doesn’t help.

I am the vice-president of culture and people for an organization called SSA Group. We manage guest services such as food, retail, and ticketing for zoos, aquariums, and museums across the country.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tech Exactly?

They helped us build an onboarding app for our staff to help train and communicate with them.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The mobile application that we developed operates in both iOS and Android, as well as Android tablets. It was built from scratch and contains the full frontend interface as well as a backend that connects to our APIs and HR system as well.

Through the app, people completing onboarding can check off tasks as they complete them and have them documented on their profile. There is also a gamification piece that allows individuals already in the company to take trainings that aren’t necessary for their job as well.

I worked directly with the CEO of their company.

How did you come to work with Tech Exactly?

I talked with a number of different developers in preparation for the project, and their CEO put in a lot of work before getting the actual contract in order to make sure we would be able to produce a real viable product. Based on the work that he did and the commitment it demonstrated, we decided that he would be the best fit for our team.

For this project, we are at about $8,000, but the success of this led to a much larger engagement with our company in which we have spent a good deal more with them.

I’m very happy with the work that he’s completed for me personally, and I know that the members of our executive team are very happy with their performance as well.

How did Tech Exactly perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is spot on. Our point of contact is very attentive and provides very detailed responses to all of our questions or requests. I love working with him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The level of personal attention that they provide really sets them apart from other companies. The fact that they are 12 hours ahead of us has actually been an asset because it allows us to effectively work around the clock.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There aren’t any areas I really think they are lacking in. He’s always been more than willing to work through any glitches or delays we run into, and I’ve never had any surprise fees or anything like that, so I’m completely satisfied.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You might have a little bit of a problem with the language barrier, so it’s important to be patient with that, especially at first. It doesn’t affect the quality of his work in any way, but it might be worth communicating over video chat rather than phone call just to make sure everything is being communicated properly.
