We engaged TCF to plan, launch and optimize the full marketing motion around the Kickstarter campaign for our suitcase, the Aerionn Forma. The scope has included pre-launch audience building and email list growth, paid social and performance media across Meta and other channels, creative strategy and ad creative testing, campaign messaging and positioning, landing page and content support, and ongoing optimization throughout the live campaign. Key deliverables have included the pre-launch funnel and qualified backer audience, the paid acquisition strategy and ad creative across the campaign, weekly performance reporting, and continuous testing to improve cost per pledge and conversion as the campaign progressed.

The Kickstarter campaign performed in line with our goals and the strategy TCF built around it delivered on what we hoped for. We saw strong early traction during the pre-launch phase, with a qualified backer audience and email list that translated into pledges from day one of the live campaign. Beyond the headline numbers, what we valued most was how stable the operation felt: creative was tested rigorously, paid spend was managed responsibly, cost per pledge stayed within target as the campaign scaled, and we always had visibility into what was working. The result was a successful launch we're proud of and a marketing foundation we can continue to build on.

Excellent project management throughout. Timelines were respected, updates were proactive, and any question — strategic or tactical — got a fast, thoughtful answer. We were never the ones chasing the team. Across two years and a lot of moving pieces around the campaign, the level of organization and reliability has been one of the best things about working with them. They were also responsive to changes in direction when we needed to pivot creative or test new angles mid-campaign, and they communicated trade-offs clearly so we could make informed decisions together.

Honestly, nothing significant comes to mind. The partnership has been smooth from day one and we've always had a direct line to the team whenever something needed adjusting. If anything ever comes up I know I can raise it directly and it will be addressed.

We wanted to launch EthyloKey, the world’s first touch-based alcohol detector. The challenge was big because our product defined a new category.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with TCF Team in the prelaunch phase to know how to communicate and to whom. Then, we started a lead generation phase preparing the launch. The team helped us in the optimization of our Kickstarter page. They also ran our Meta and Google ads with a ROAS of around 3.5. Moreover, they did missions for the launch, having articles from Spain to Eastern Europe talking about our tech. Regarding deliverables, TCF Team generated more than 2,500 leads before the launch. They also handled press relations worldwide and created some visuals for the ads. We did the full setup of the Kickstarter page and created the assets and videos. However, TCF Team gave us feedback and advice to improve conversion.

TCF was responsible for supporting the strategy, launch, and management of the Kickstarter campaign. Their work focused on defining the campaign positioning and messaging, structuring and optimizing the Kickstarter page, and managing paid advertising to drive traffic and conversions.

Throughout the campaign, TCF monitored performance, tested and optimized ads and messaging, and worked closely with the team to adjust the strategy as needed and ensure the campaign stayed on track.

The campaign successfully reached and surpassed its Kickstarter funding goal, confirming strong market interest in the campaign. It generated a high volume of qualified traffic to the campaign page, achieved solid conversion rates from paid ads, and resulted in a meaningful number of backers and pre-orders. In addition, the project increased brand visibility and helped build an initial community of early adopters that we could continue engaging with after the campaign ended.

There are always small areas for improvement, mainly around double-checking certain elements before going live and allowing a bit more flexibility to incorporate ideas coming from our internal team. The project manager was reliable and professional, with timely responses considering the remote collaboration. Overall deliverables were provided on schedule. Their work in social media and PR was strong and often met our expectations independently. However, the quality of sales management and KOL outreach was more average, and these areas required more input from our side to reach a satisfactory level.

Areas for improvement could include strengthening the quality of KOL outreach and providing a higher level of client service. In addition, the copywriting sometimes showed noticeable AI-generated traces, which should be refined for a more natural tone.

Unfortunately, we were unable to scale the way we anticipated, given our pre-launch results. Our initial goal on Kickstarter was $1 million, and we achieved 10% of that goal.

TCF Team's communication via Slack was great, and they considered all of our suggestions to make the campaign stronger. The team delivered on time and responded well to our needs.

TCF Team was wonderful to work with despite our marketing hiccups.

They could have anticipated censorship roadblocks ahead of the go-live date. The team wasn't completely prepared to adjust and scale our marketing efforts once our ad accounts were banned. They didn't anticipate having issues, and it was the campaign's downfall. During the campaign, the team worked extremely hard to pivot however, it should have been considered long before the project went live.
