The most significant outcome has been the successful completion and launch of the FullArmor app to the App Store. We’ve seen growing user engagement, although it’s still very early.

We needed to create a customized mobile app for taxi orders.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tapptitude developed a new, intuitive, and easy-to-use mobile taxi app. For the drivers, the app had to be very user-friendly, easy to use, provide orders based on their location, accept card payments, and receive tips. For the clients, they had to find an easy and fast way to find a nearby car that could take them safely to their destination. Customers had to be able to pay with a card, leave tips, and let the driver know if they had extra luggage or a pet. For the admin, the app had to have the possibility to create, edit, and suspend accounts (driver or client) and see the history of the orders and their status.Tapptitude delivered the entire project, including the driver, client, and admin apps.

We found them through an online search and the Clutch site. We chose them over other options because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, they had a great culture fit, and their company values aligned with ours.

We worked together from August–December 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Tapptitude successfully completed my requests regarding the app's functions. Customers started to use the taxi app for their rides and stopped calling the dispatch by phone. Drivers were also happy with the app because it was easier to find the customer's location. Around 200 customers created an account in the app, and 60 drivers asked for an account so they could accept orders through the app.

How did Tapptitude perform from a project management standpoint?

They were well-organized and delivered within the agreed deadline. We communicated through virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tapptitude was very open to my ideas and came up with ideas for improvement on how to make the app smoother.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not sure. In my opinion, they delivered exactly what I expected, sometimes above my expectations.

I’m the owner of a business aviation services and technology company. We offer private flights, charter flights, and private jet memberships. We also offer a range of technology services for business aviation companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tapptitude?

We needed help with mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tapptitude has been responsible for the entire frontend of our native iOS app, including the design, UX, and UI. The app allows our clients to research our services, specifically our charter flight business. They've built the app's frontend using Swift, while the backend was on our side. My internal developer built the APIs that power the app, while Tapptitude has built the app itself.

Users can search for pricing for flights anywhere in the world and complete the entire booking flow on the app. This includes sending them quotes on different airplanes for their trip. Users can review and interact with the quotes and message our representative if they have questions about them. They can then request to book the quote, at which point we send them a contract. 

Every trip requires a unique contract, so they receive their contracts on the app and can sign them using the DocuSign API. They can also upload personal documents like their passport and ID. Users receive their itinerary in the app, and the itinerary has a lot of information on it. In our industry, you don’t just get a boarding pass; you get a full itinerary. Users manage their trip from start to finish on this app.

We initially had user personas to an extent, but we still worked through that with Tapptitude. We went through their process for determining user personas, and they used Figma for the design. Currently, we're close to launching the app, with a few features left to build.

What is the team composition?

We have a full-time iOS engineer, a UX/UI designer, and a QA person. We also have a project manager.

How did you come to work with Tapptitude?

I found them on Clutch. I had a rigorous process to find a firm for this project. I started with 12 firms that I found on Clutch and G2. I liked how my candidates represented themselves and the range of services they said they specialized in. I went through rounds of interviews and calls for about four weeks until I picked Tapptitude.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent a little over $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2024, and the engagement is ongoing. When we first engaged with them, we weren’t planning on building any of the things we’ve built for the first version. The engagement was supposed to last 4–6 months, but my partners and I decided that we wanted to build the entire booking and trip management process, so it has been extended a lot. We’re very close to being done.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app looks beautiful, and the design is great. Moreover, I’ve never found a bug when Tapptitude releases a new build, so I’m confident in that level of it — everything has been great.

Tapptitude is highly efficient. Their project managers are very good and synthesize information very quickly. I’ve worked with a lot of development companies in the past, and often I have to explain something or wireframe it. Everything I’ve requested, Tapptitude immediately knows what I want, so things don’t take very long to get up and running.

They save me money because I’m getting a high level of output from them for a lot less than an onshore company, and the results are exactly the same. I interviewed companies local to me, and they were 4 times the cost. 

How did Tapptitude perform from a project management standpoint?

They're great communicators and understand everything. We use Slack for longer-form discussions and Figma for short-form questions and comments. We also use Google Workspace to collaborate on documents and Google Meet for meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We work in a complex industry; most people have no idea how private jets work because not everyone flies in them. Tapptitude understands the use cases, the clients, and my goals for the app. I never had to explain anything twice. 

They’re highly capable of being thought partners. I’ve never built a mobile app before, and I work in a complex industry. They’ve helped me make my ideas come to life in this app because of their ability to think on a high level with me. Their thought partnership and project management stand out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s literally nothing I’d have them improve. I have no complaints whatsoever about any aspect of our relationship.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re based in the US, make sure to go over how to schedule calls with them and how flexible they are with their time. My experience is that their English is fantastic, but I've only dealt with a few people. Using offshore is not for everybody, partly because of the time change and potential language barriers. I’d ask all the questions, ask to talk to the team you'll work with, and ask them about the timing for meetings and the time change.

We engaged Tapptitude to help us build our platform for iOS. They also built the frontend and API of the supporting website and our business operations app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our team initially provided Tapptitude with our specifications and designs. We partnered with them to refine those specifications and designs. They also helped us work through the challenges of building our entire platform. 

At present, Tapptitude is helping us build our apps. We have an iOS app, a Next.js app that runs on the web, and a Java-based app that runs our operations. Moreover, they provide us with QA services and integrate our platform with third-party ecosystems for business intelligence. 

What is the team composition?

The team composition ranges from 5–20 teammates, depending on our sprint and how much we need to do. We work with full stack developers, program managers, and iOS developers. Our key collaborators include Anca (Product Manager), the principal program manager for the entire project. Since we’ve made three ecosystems, they’ve added Cezar (Product Manager) to the team to handle the complexity of the product. 

For the iOS app, we’ve been working with Efraim (iOS Developer). Rares (Full Stack Web Developer) and Gabriel (Freelance Web Developer) have done all the frontend development for our Next.js app and operations development for our off-console platform. 

How did you come to work with Tapptitude?

Our CEO was friends with another company that launched an app and worked with Tapptitude. They helped our CEO get in touch with the team, and that was when the engagement started.

Our investment has been between $500,000–$1 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started doing business with Tapptitude around April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of Tapptitude’s work is great. We’ve done a couple of third-party reviews and a penetration test — there has been no problem with the code for security. The concerns are in medium-to-low ranges. 

In other words, Tapptitude has done a tremendous job at developing a secure ecosystem. I’ve also hired an independent full stack developer to do a full code review. The code review has returned with a few nice changes, but we’ve found no major or glaring problems specific to the code’s stability, bugs, algorithm, or acumen. 

Meanwhile, we’ve launched the product. The best feedback we have about the support website is that end users don’t even notice it. The product is the digital signature, and users can log in and buy it without ever noticing they’re on the website — that’s exactly how we want it. 

How did Tapptitude perform from a project management standpoint?

We run stand-up meetings every week and do biweekly sprints and deployments. They meet deadlines. Whenever we have a deadline problem or miss one, it’s always because we change our minds.

Anca is wonderfully good at her job and flexible; she stands her ground when necessary. Efraim has been incredibly good at dealing with the complexities of our rendering engine and mathematical algorithms that refine our technology. Gabriel has also done a great job. 

For tools, we use Jira and Confluence to communicate about features and bugs. Additionally, we have a robust Google Workspace and Google Chat ecosystem where we do much of our daily communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The original person we worked with from Tapptitude was Tudor (Product Consultant). It was impressive that he’d always tell us when his team wasn’t the right fit for our needs. For example, we were working on an operations concept, and he advised us that it would be better to do it on Airtable instead of building it. Simply put, he was good at pointing out when we didn’t have to spend money on them if there was an easier way to do something. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our time zones are different because they’re in Romania, and I’m in Seattle. This is a nitpick, but they need a better US presence. This way, I can work in normal time zones instead of late at night or early in the morning. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have good documentation of specifications and well-defined ways of how you want to accomplish things.

For context, we hadn’t documented the details that Tapptitude needed from us when we started. As a result, we floundered for the first few months of the engagement. To resolve that, we did a comprehensive documentation of the requirements and features that we wanted to deploy. Things became much smoother when we figured out those things from our side.

In our weekly sessions we would review how many tasks/functionalities had been covered or were missing. We have also asked them to come up with some innovative design and an overall concept about starting at the high level/simple information, with then the possibility to start drilling down more and more to see very detailed info. This has been 100% achieved.

Tapptitude was tasked with building our web app MVP, which consisted of a customer-facing design platform that translates user supplied information, such as a team's name and color, into prompts that are fed into a generative AI model. Once the images are generated, they are scored by AI to detrimine whether or not they meet the required criteria. Once this happens, the images are run through a series or processes and placed into a dynamic layout that is comprised of various design elements such as fonts, color schemes, and stylization. Each of theme elements are tagged in order to be appropriately paired together with the AI image, resulting in a cohesive composition that is tailored to the age, gender, sport, and team color of the user.

All of this is built to connect to Shopify's API so that each unique composition can be applied to physical print-on-demand products such as banners and apparal, and easily purchsed through our storefront.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Tappitude delivered a working, stable MVP that we were able to bring to market within a week of handoff.

Customers began purchasing our products within the first 24 hours of launch, and we ultimately converted 40% of our targeted audience within the first 30 days.

A project manager was assigned to us from the beginning of the project, and remained our primary point of contact through the launch of the MVP. They were transparent in delivering good and bad news as each arose, and this was to be expected given the complexity of what we were building together.

The product was built in sprints, with time allocated to testing, feedback, QC.

Tapptitude took a genuine interest in what we were building initially. When challenges arose, or we hit a wall, they were just as affected by it as I was, and were just commited to finding a solution.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tapptitude could have done differently?

They were very ambitious when quoting the project during the bidding process, which resulted in an oversimplification of the time and resources that would be required to build some of the project's components. This resulted in our needing to reassess and reprioritize mid-project. Ultimately, it did not effect our MVP, but we did amend our agreement to remove some non-essential deliverables. This was a learning around how to gague complexity.

This platform would integrate various features to make it user-friendly and accessible for veterans of all backgrounds and experiences. Here's a detailed outline of the concept:

1.  User-Friendly Interface: The platform should have an intuitive and user-friendly interface, designed with the specific needs of non-tech savvy veterans in mind. It should be easily navigable and accessible without a requirement to authenticate.
2. Guided Process: Implement a step-by-step guide that helps veterans understand the benefits they may be eligible for and assists them in gathering the necessary documentation and information required for their claims.  Specifically, a body-map feature would enable veterans to 'point and click' instead of delving into complicated medical terminology.

The suggestions and recommendations for improving on my idea.  They didn't simply code an application for me; they looked at it from a consumer and business perspective, which ultimately turned out a better product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Tapptitude could have done differently?

The payment process could have been more streamlined by using an electronic means, rather than a bank wire.

I'm the engineering manager at a location data platform company headquartered in New York.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tapptitude?

We needed help from external engineers to develop a new mobile application and support our in-house team. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tapptitude offers our company staff augmentation and mobile development services. Initially, we defined our work model since our team is in the US, and Tapptitude is based in Romania. We went through the working environment and preferable hours to work together. We planned sprints following Agile methodology and defined execution details. From that point on, the team has jumped into implementation, and Tapptitude is helping us build an iOS app.

What is the team composition?

We work with Catalin (iOS Tech Lead) and three senior-level engineers from Tapptitude.

How did you come to work with Tapptitude?

We conducted an internal assessment of some of the companies we wanted to work with, and Tapptitude made the cut of our shortlisted companies. We then met with the team and reviewed their previous projects. We evaluated Tapptitude's work on other products and the quality of sample projects we asked them to do before entering the hiring agreement. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Tapptitude in June 2023, and our engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our app has innovative features, and Tapptitude approaches this work by developing a prototype instead of doing the full feature development to see how it will perform. Based on that, the team provides tangible feedback to determine if that is the right direction for us. Additionally, Tapptitude has introduced architectural patterns within the app that we wouldn't have been able to do, creating the code base model for that. 

Overall, Tapptitude's team is very knowledgeable in iOS development and speaks good English. The team has a great attitude towards receiving feedback and changing things accordingly. Tapptitude is coachable and quick to learn new things and patterns, exceeding my expectations. 

How did Tapptitude perform from a project management standpoint?

Tapptitude meets the sprint deadlines we set within budget. Slack is our preferred communication channel, and we also have a few weekly video calls. Tapptitude's velocity to deliver features and tasks is excellent. The team has finished hundreds of tickets within a year at a very good velocity, based on my experience.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Catalin is technically proficient and has good leadership skills. He has made it easy to collaborate with the team because he helps us manage work. Catalin also helps us clarify requirements and communicate with our US team so the process is smooth. He takes the project's technical leadership, and that keeps things moving. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm amazed by Tapptitude's capability and quick delivery of work without a fuss. The team is very professional and collaborative, and I'd work with Tapptitude again if given the chance.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything Tapptitude can improve. The only setback we've experienced during the project has been when our assigned engineer left the team, but I'm aware that was beyond Tapptitude's control. During that process, Tapptitude was good at replacing that engineer with another competent professional. Looking back, this has been a minimal issue in our project.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Customers need a good technical lead to work with Tapptitude. I also suggest having weekly or regular touchpoints with the team to unblock and clarify requirements so the team can continue executing work as expected.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of an events, news, and data business for the investment industry.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Tapptitude?

We have around 60 journalists around the world producing news for the asset management investment industry, which they publish on our website. In 2019, we decided to have another go at launching a news app. Although we have brilliant developers internally, app development is not our strong suit, so we contacted Tapptitude to help us out.

Initially, we worked with Tapptitude on the news app project for about a year before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. During the lockdown, our events business took a huge hit because events represent half of our business, and we weren’t able to run in-person events for our investors to meet and attend workshops.

Therefore, we decided to pivot from building a news app to creating a new events app. While we were in lockdown and no in-person events happened, we moved to a virtual event platform that our company had built in-house. Then, we decided to work with Tapptitude to continue building this brand-new events app for a bit when the lockdown finished.

Up until that point, we had been running events using tablets that our company handed out with the app already installed so that we could use a single-device model to prevent delegates from using their own phones and avoid dealing with different phone manufacturers, OS versions, and screen sizes. We had total control of the app’s functionality and the device screen size.

We had also been building our own WiFi networks within all the venues in which we held events. Given that we were running 100 events per year, we couldn’t rely on the hotels’ WiFi networks. Eventually, we decided to make a shift and let our delegates and sponsors use their own mobile phones to access our app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with Tapptitude to rebuild our events app for iOS and Android devices and replace all the functionality we had on the tablet app. We’ve taken this project step by step, building the critical functionality we needed in order of importance. We’ve built the backend of this app, while Tapptitude has built the frontend.

At every event, we have 50–300 attendees, who are our delegates. We also have sponsors, who can range from 20–150. Therefore, we’ve created a version of the app for sponsors and another for delegates to control their agendas. Through this app, we can create bespoke agendas for all of our delegates so that they can attend the workshops listed by our sponsors. We ensure that the workshops they attend are the most relevant to their interests and needs.

We have workshops on different funds with fundraisers presenting within those workshops. Each workshop can have 5–30 delegates each, and we usually have eight workshops per day. Therefore, we ensure that the delegates know exactly what workshop they need to attend at which time through the agenda feature on this app.

Using the app, delegates can also know who will be presenting and what would be the workshop’s content. Delegates also have the ability to provide feedback through this app after each workshop regarding whether they’re likely to invest in the fund presented and whether they found the content useful.

We take delegates’ real-time feedback and use it to inform our sponsors about how they can improve their presentations for the following workshops. These workshops are closely controlled, so we ensure that we have the right number of delegates on each. For example, if a delegate doesn’t attend. we revolve the delegates we have across the other workshops to ensure that at no point there’s a workshop without a good number of attendees.

Within this app, we also provide users with maps of the venues so that they can find their way. Moreover, the app has an index of all the different people that attend these events. It works as a mini CRM system so that users can go back through the records of who they’ve met at different events. They can bookmark these people for networking purposes. For example, sponsors can filter down delegates that they met at any event by the company they work for and whether they showed interest in investing in their product so that they can make a follow-up.

What is the team composition?

Tapptitude’s team has varied throughout the engagement, but we’ve worked with one or two iOS developers, one or two Android developers, a UI/UX designer, one or two QA engineers, a project manager, and a product strategist.

How did you come to work with Tapptitude?

We found them on Clutch and were very impressed with their work. We had some good sessions with them about how to create a product that wasn’t a copy of our website through an app but something that the audience would appreciate.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £400,000 on the events app only (approximately $507,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2019 on the news app, which we didn’t end up launching. Then, we started working with them again on the event app in January 2021. The project is still ongoing, but we’ve been slowing the development pace down. We’re near the end of the project because we’ve built all the features we need. Now, we’re moving into maintenance mode.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Tapptitude has delivered everything we had hoped for. When we were building the first event app internally, it was very challenging. Our first app wasn’t lovable, but what we’ve been able to build with Tapptitude has become an incredibly lovable app.

We’ve had sponsors at our events saying how brilliant our event app is and how much better it is than those off-the-shelf apps they’ve used. Sponsors have even asked if they can license this app from us. Although this is something we’re not pursuing, it has been very good to get industry recognition. Comparing Tapptitude’s app to other apps out there, they’re day and night.

For us, the app is so visible to delegates and sponsors that it has to be perfect. We allow no room for bugs, errors, or mistakes because our events are very dynamic, so it would be very embarrassing or damaging to make mistakes.

Still, we’ve received no complaints about what we’ve delivered in the last few years, which is incredible because technology projects always have bugs and issues. Of course, there have been minor issues, but those have always been issues that we can manage. Overall, everything has been considered well enough by Tapptitude.

How did Tapptitude perform from a project management standpoint?

Tapptitude has delivered on time and on budget, and anytime something has taken longer than expected, it has been easy to understand the reason. Usually, delays are caused by changes in requirements. Tapptitude’s team is incredibly organized, so whenever I provide them with a deadline, 9/10 times they hit it, and the one time they don’t hit it is our fault.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Although the entire team is brilliant, Andreea (Product Manager) has been fantastic. She’s amazing, captures requirements brilliantly, and is phenomenally organized. She also provides ideas on how we can improve the product.

Before Andreea joined the project, we also worked with Cristina (Product Owner), who was amazing as well, but she left for maternity leave. Tapptitude also has valued developers and designers. For example, Iulian (Product Designer) has created a very good UX.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Tapptitude has been absolutely brilliant, and working with them has been fantastic — I can’t recommend them enough.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Tapptitude could improve on. They’ve been a very good partner, so we’ll continue to work with them. I’m more than happy to recommend them to anyone in the future.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Treat them like an extension of your team, integrate them completely, and make sure they fully understand the product you’re trying to create. Still, Tapptitude is so well-organized that they’re able to create a relationship with any new client. They’re not only a talented group, but they’re also very friendly, so you’ll enjoy working with them.
