The project involved developing a professional, bilingual (English and Japanese) website with a focus on book and author search functionality. The design drew inspiration from Japanese legends, particularly incorporating the revered divine crow, a mythical figure symbolizing guidance and protection. This mystical element, along with other traditional art motifs, was woven into a user-friendly interface. Key deliverables included a responsive design, an intuitive search feature, multilingual integration, and seamless navigation across devices. Post-launch support and content management tools were also provided to ensure smooth ongoing operation and ease of updates.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Working with the team has been a great experience. They developed a unique bilingual (English and Japanese) website with a distinct theme centered around Japanese literature, legends, and culture. The site combines professional functionality with a visually engaging design, reflecting mystical elements in a way that is both creative and culturally resonant. I just installed Google Analytics yesterday, and as the site is newly launched, there aren’t measurable outcomes yet. However, the team’s ability to interpret and integrate such an unusual theme, while ensuring the site appeals to a diverse audience, truly showcases their versatility. I’m confident that as traffic grows, the site will continue to impress and engage visitors.

What I found most impressive and unique about this company was their ability to transform my vision into a highly professional, bilingual website while incorporating a culturally rich and distinctive theme. The demo site, particularly the author blog with books displayed, was a major inspiration for me. I was amazed by how they seamlessly blended functionality with creative design in such an intuitive way. I loved the site's overall design, feel, and lively atmosphere, which truly brought my ideas to life.

Are there any areas for improvement or something tagDiv could have done differently?

That’s a difficult question to answer, as overall, I’m very satisfied with their work. However, it would have been helpful if they had informed me earlier that I needed to have at least 6 books and 6 blog posts ready before launch. This would have helped with my planning and preparation. That said, this was a minor point and didn’t significantly impact the overall experience.

I think the developers at TagDiv could get out of the client's box a bit, because the client is not always well educated enough to be a project manager for web development. They delivered quality code on time and met all our requirements, but we would have expected more suggestions from them.

We wanted to do a scratch build of our website. We wanted a website that was truly world-class and showed the world about our programs and our impact. In the span of 4 months, tagDiv helped us with the design and development of a brand-new website.

We were able to get a brand new website up (taking no existing pages or content from our previous website) in ~3 months. This website includes custom coding and interacting aspects like a map and timeline. They made our dream website a reality.

They implemented Google Analytics for us, but we haven't had a chance to look at it or analyze it just yet. However, I was impressed with how quickly tagDiv was able to implement everything that we asked them to and how quickly they were able to complete the project.

Because of improved traffic rates, we need to to move to a new server, and migrate customisations to the latest version of both wordpress and the newspaper theme. Tagdiv did much faster and more efficiently than I could and the end result is fantastic.

TagDiv are expert in their field and I have successfully used them before.

They created a backup for the theme settings. This creates the possibility to return to the previously used settings. They updated the Newspaper theme to the latest version 10.3.6.

 You can find the advantages for the 10.3 version here and the changelogs for all updates here. They updated the native plugins for the Newspaper Theme: tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library, tagDiv Social Counter and tagDiv Standard Pack.

They added the auto-ads script in the Analytics Section from the Theme panel. They made sure that everything runs smoothly.

Before the project started, I had a simple, but functional website. However, a major overhaul was needed, so I made a list of requirements which were fully implemented by the Tagdiv team.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal was to make the site more visually appealing, and it worked. The site traffic increased, in part because it looks more professional well thought out.

How did you select this vendor?

I reached out to some friends of mine who works with web development, but since they weren´t familiar with the theme, the project would be time consuming and probably expensive. I thought to myself, hey; Tagdiv developed the theme, they should know it in and out, so I chose them instead.

The project started when I sent over the first requests to a Tagdiv web developer. After that, he said that all of my requirements would be met, and asked for a down payment of half of the project cost. I gladly payed and the project started a few days after that. Everything was changed, the font, the links, the footer, the header and more. The project took four hours, and I got an email every hour to make sure a was satisfied with the changes.

What was the team composition?

Since this was a small to medium sized project, I had contact with one web developer. I worked great, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The traffic increased with approximately 35 percent within two months. I was also contacted by readers, who liked the new design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The web developer sent regular status updates, which I responded to. And he also didn´t complain when I made new requests in the middle of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have great knowledge of the Tagdiv theme, and in a way they should, since they developed the theme. The web developer I worked with also had more advanced knowledge about WordPress, since he helped me shut off an advanced WordPress-function that bothered me. The Tagdiv team were always respectful and didn´t give up even though I sometimes had a hard time describing what I wanted.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Web development services are complicated, since it´s not always apparent what the customer wants. If you’re new to web development, its extremely difficult to set proper requirements. However, The Tagdiv team pushed me towards the right direction. They could have made more improvement suggestions that were relevant to my site, but all in all, I´m extremely satisfied.

For the last couple of years, we have been using one of tagDiv’s templates. It’s super clean, beautifully designed, and works quite well for our magazine.

We spent $800 on their services—$300 for the help with the website and $500 for the template.

We started working together in December 2017, and we’re still using their template.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are happy with the results. The site behaves much faster than it did before. I like tagDiv’s service and would go back to them. They did an excellent job.

They always delivered on time and within budget. Communication was great. They were very helpful and fast. We communicated via email, and they always answered promptly. There were no language barriers or time difference issues.
