We engaged Syntactics in late April 2025 for what was sold as a premium, targeted SEO campaign. The onboarding was friendly and confident, and we were told to expect high-quality, niche-relevant, Australian-based backlinks, technical SEO improvements, competitor analysis, and a clear roadmap.

Before choosing them, we noticed many positive reviews online. In our opinion, a large number of these appear to be from employees or otherwise not genuine, so we would strongly encourage potential clients to look beyond the star rating and read the details.

The reality for us was the opposite of what was promised, and the screenshots below speak for themselves:

Organic traffic fell by 370 visits per month after engagement

Top-ranking keywords in positions 1 to 3 dropped sharply

Site health score fell from the high 90s before Syntactics to 55

What Went Wrong

Performance Declines After Engagement
These drops happened after Syntactics began their work. There is no reasonable way to present this as a “foundation month” when the actual result was a backward step in rankings, traffic, and site health.

Backlink Strategy Misrepresented
We were promised Australian-based, industry-relevant backlinks. Instead, we received links from irrelevant forums and free blog platforms like Tumblr, Blogspot, and JustPaste. These had no topical or geographical relevance and were not what we agreed to.

Key Deliverables Missing or Late

Competitor analysis and keyword gap strategy were never delivered

Only 2 blogs in the first month instead of 3 as promised

Keyword targeting fell short of the 16 to 25 agreed

Technical SEO reporting was vague until repeatedly requested

Poor Communication
Meetings were missed or started late. Early reporting was high-level and avoided key performance issues. The NSW-only geo restriction in our structured data was never disclosed and was only discovered by our new SEO consultant.

The Outcome
Despite multiple opportunities to correct the work, the campaign failed to deliver on the core promises. We were left with worse rankings, lower site health, poor-quality backlinks, and additional costs to fix the damage.

If you value your search rankings and site integrity, avoid Syntactics. The screenshots above show exactly what happened to us in only a few months.

Nothing, this company is terrible. In my experience, there was nothing impressive or unique about their work; apart from how quickly our rankings and site health declined after engaging them.

Deliver the work promised in the proposal, use relevant and high-quality backlinks, provide transparent reporting from the start, meet deadlines, communicate proactively, and avoid making changes that harm search visibility without informing the client.

Your 1-month foundational SEO campaign with Syntactics, Inc. (April 2025, per signed MOA) included a full technical SEO audit/fixes, keyword research, 2–3 optimized blogs, backlink acquisition, on-page optimization, and keyword tracking/reporting.

Traffic & Rankings: Our May report shows organic traffic dipped only 4.95% (84 visits), not the 370 claimed. Losses came from Direct (-52.92%) and Google Ads (-26.42%)—unrelated to SEO. Keyword movement in Month-1 is normal, yet “LiFePO4 battery” improved from Rank 66 to 32. Site health, per SEMrush, improved from 80 to 86 after 135+ errors and 1,000+ warnings were fixed.

Backlinks: We began with free but high-authority platforms due to your limited budget, which was explained before activation. Based on feedback, we pivoted to paid, niche AU blogs (e.g., australianblog.com.au) at no extra cost, documented in our May recovery plan.

Content & Keywords: Scope was 2–3 blogs/month; two were delivered, fully optimized, and remain live. The “16–25 keyword” figure applied to the full campaign; Month-1 targeted 8–10 high-value keywords.

Technical SEO: Detailed reports documented technical fixes, site speed gains (desktop: 62 → 73), metadata/schema updates, internal linking, and indexation.

Geo-targeting: We did not configure NSW-only schema; archived code shows changes were made after our access ended.

The videos have to be converted to the proper size and time frame depending on the social media site and what the platform allows to be posted. Then, certain logos and subtitles must be added. After posting, the video must be optimized accordingly to perform well.

I work directly with Syntactics and we communicate back and forth as necessary. The communication is direct and we work through any concerns together. Everything has been very easy to work through and there are few to none in regards to problems.

We have over 100K subscribers on YouTube. This would not be possible without the help from everyone involved in the video process. Our number one source of revenue is from the clients we receive that see our videos online.
