Please give a brief description of your company.

The company is the largest integrated express and logistics service provider with the longest history of business operation, the widest coverage and the broadest range of products in China.

We're mainly engaged in domestic express, international express, contract logistics and LTL. Domestic and international express provides premium, standard and economy shipping products in terms of delivery time, and operates some value-added services, such as COD [collect on delivery]. Contract logistics covers the overall process of supply chain, including warehousing and transport. The company possesses the world-acclaimed brand "EMS" and the leading domestic logistics brand "CNPL."

What is your role at the company?

I am the principle of purchasing.

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Synjonesoft?

The processing of express documents is a major challenge for us. Given our limited human resources and the increasing cost of employees, we hoped to outsource this part of our business.

What were your company's business goals for the project?

We needed someone to finish the processing of hundreds of thousands of express documents every day.

What was your process for selecting Synjonesoft to work with?

Based on their publicity and the strength of Synjonesoft, we contacted them and conducted a site inspection of their delivery and management center. After they responded to our bid invitation, Synjonesoft became one of our service providers.

We pay Synjonesoft about $2 million USD yearly.

When was the project completed?

We have been working with Synjonesoft for three years, and the project is ongoing.

Synjonesoft has greatly enhanced our work efficiency and service quality.

Synjonesoft has always been on time and with a relatively low error rate.

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Synjonesoft?

The bank needs to assign specialists to get customs declarations daily while, at the same time, recording relevant information regarding those declarations, and then mail that information to our clients. This is a very time-consuming part of our workload.

What were the bank's business goals for the project?

We hoped to outsource this part of our work to a professional company so that we could concentrate our employees on our financial service business.

Synjonesoft coordinates with customs and gets the declarations, then records that information and mails that information to clients.

The bank is spending about $160,000 per year working with Synjonesoft.

What were the results of the project, and do you have any metrics or other feedback you can share?

Everyone at the bank was very pleased with the results of the project. In addition, the project resulted in a significant cost reduction.

How did Synjonesoft perform?

The one thing that really stands out is the strong sense of responsibility shown by all of Synjonesoft's employees.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

I really can't think of anything we would do differently. We are very pleased with the work of Synjonesoft.

What advice would you give to a future client of theirs?

Synjonesoft is a very reliable brand, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to a potential future client.

China Life Insurance (Group) Company, headquartered in Beijing, is a large state-owned financial and insurance company. Its predecessor, PICC, was founded in 1949 and the PICC (Life) Co., Ltd. was set up in 1996 after its separation from the former PICC. In 1999, it was renamed China Life Insurance Company. With the approval of the State Council and the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, the former China Life Insurance Company was restructured as China Life Insurance (Group) Company in 2003.

China Life Insurance (Group) Company and its subsidiaries, collectively known as China Life, constitute the largest commercial insurance group in Mainland China. It is the only state-owned insurance group with assets exceeding 1 trillion RMB [renminbi] yuan [approximately $161 trillion]. It is also one of the largest institutional investors in China's capital market.

The assignment of inputting documents from our new contracts is heavy, which places a particularly heavy workload on our team.

We needed to finish the input of documents from our new contracts as soon as possible.

The project is in progress, and Synjonesoft is delivering all the required data on schedule.

Is there anything unique or special about Synjonesoft that really makes them stand out? 

The main thing that stands out for me is that Synjonesoft is very trustworthy.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

The startup phase of the project took longer than we would have liked, and I think we should consider building a more efficient and regulated process.

What advice would you give to a future client of theirs?

Synjonesoft regards their clients' goals and objectives as their own, and thus makes an excellent partner.
