Studio Kipo developed a custom end-to-end tax refund platform for Tax Advice, designed specifically for students participating in the Work and Travel USA program.

The platform manages the complete process, from student registration and document submission through tax return processing and refund payments.

Key deliverables included:

• Student registration, profiles and personal dashboards 
• Secure submission and management of tax documents 
• A comprehensive administration platform for our team to manage students, applications, documents and processing statuses 
• Integration with external services for opening US bank accounts 
• Integration for transferring refunds to US bank accounts 
• Cryptocurrency payout functionality 
• Online card payments for students 
• Automated workflows, status updates and notifications 
• Centralized management of customer, application and payment data 
• Responsive web interface for both desktop and mobile users 

The result is a centralized platform that allows us to manage the entire tax refund process digitally, while providing students with a simple way to submit their documents, track their application and receive their refund.

The new platform significantly streamlined our operations and reduced manual administrative work.

It enabled us to manage the entire tax refund process in one system, from student registration and document submission to payments and refunds. The integrations with banking, payment and cryptocurrency services also made the process faster and more scalable as our number of students grew.

There is always room for improvement, but we were very satisfied with Studio Kipo's work. As the project evolved, some requirements changed along the way, which naturally affected the development process. The team handled these changes well and remained flexible throughout the project.

As with any digital project, there is always room to further strengthen the initial planning and testing phases, particularly by involving a broader group of end users at an earlier stage. This could help identify additional usability preferences and reduce the need for minor adjustments later in the process. Nevertheless, Studio Kipo responded promptly and professionally whenever refinements were required.
