The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation was founded in 1993. Its founder, Jerzy Owsiak, was a TV host with his own program for young people. Back then, the Polish hospitals were lacking even basic medical equipment. Jerzy Owsiak wanted to take the opportunity offered by the TV and announced that he would be raising funds to support one of the biggest children's hospitals. The results were incredible. It turned out that despite many years of communism, a system which taught people not to trust each other, Poles still wanted to help others. Jerzy Owsiak realized that this potential should not be wasted, and he started a foundation – The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Today, 35 years later, the GOCC Foundation is one of the most successful and most famous Polish non-profit organizations. We engage in various projects, but still our most important mission is buying medical equipment of Polish children's hospitals. Every year, the Foundation holds a special fundraising event called The Grand Finale. The Grand Finale is a nation-wide event with many open-air concerts, media coverage and a lot of positive energy. Since the beginning of the charitable activities of the GOCC Foundation, we have raised almost 2.8 billion zlotys (~66,201,678.69 € euros), for which we have donated more than 78,600 pieces of medical equipment. v

They based the whole thing on Strapi and used the latest technologies to improve our Google visibility and performance (React, NextJS, TypeScript).

We received a web service that works according to our expectations. During the design process, our expectations were reviewed by the lead developer, and we received ongoing production work estimates. The Story team not only delivered the work in an agile model (Agile), but also on budget (fixed). The whole thing is based on AWS infrastructure.

The nature of our business does not allow us to use off-the-shelf eCommerce platforms. We needed a platform designed and written for selling parts for products from various manufacturers, not the products themselves. The Story created a platform that makes it easy for customers to select parts based on their power tools. Amazon OpenSearch technology was used for the search process. Selenium technology supports the product management. 
The customer service process has been optimized using AI technology. For the financial service process, the platform was integrated with Nexo Sphere and Paynow. The delivery of products is done through InPost. The whole thing was done in Headless eCommerce approach and micro-services architecture using Docker. In addition, The Story applied technologies that increased our Performance and visibility in Google search.

We launched an online store created from scratch and according to Baxo's business needs.

Through the workshop, we verified the backlog and created a roadmap that allowed us to complete the project within the planned budget. The backlog and requirements were continuously updated and documented. The entire project was implemented in intervals of two-week Scrum Sprints.

Our business is based on cooperation with many suppliers - power tool manufacturers, accounting and logistics companies. There was a case where the integration had to be written .NET, for The Story this was not a problem. Despite their specialization in Python, they were able to switch to another technology within the same sprint. Or another case in point. One of the systems is quite old and needs to have a desktop computer running. 
They were able to solve this problem as well. My impression is that nothing is impossible for them.

The Story agency is our partner in UX and developing web & mobile applications, as they also hold expertise in customer experience and workshops facilitation I reached out for their support in methodology development and workshops cofacilitation.

The engagement consisted of consulting in different methodologies and techniques to run a prioritization workshop, selection of the most adequate tools, design of a 4-hour workshop and co-facilitation of the workshop. Those resulted not only in running a very organized and productive workshop, but also in development of a prioritization workshop methodology that we use and implement in our further Customer Experience endeavors.

All workshop attendees, which included mostly KCR Leadership team gave very positive feedback about the workshop flow, contents, methodology and results. We continue to use this methodology for other workshops.

Our communication with Story is always very efficient. As we do have quite a history of joint cooperation (almost 10 years now!), the workflow is usually seamless.

It is a pleasure to work with the Story's Head of Design. During this project execution he was prepared, knowledgeable about workshop facilitation techniques, and shared very practical tips, which I find helpful till this day.
