We wanted a site that was beautifully designed and attractive to prospective customers. Most importantly, we needed to optimize our platform to increase its ranking and generate leads through organic search results

Storm Brain completely redesigned our entire site and performed testing and analysis. They handled the end-to-end implementation. This process included website optimization, CMS customization, copywriting, editing, and all the hosting elements. We have continued to partner with their team for support and hosting services.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Since launching the new site Storm Brain delivered, we’ve continuously received compliments on a weekly basis. Our users praise the site’s look and feel.  We appreciate the improved form and functionality. It’s now much more comfortable to track leads the site generates more systematically.

Blake (CTO, Storm Brain) and Leah (Managing Director, Storm Brain) were very clear about project timelines and executed on them expertly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I most admired the team’s creativity. Storm Brain has a unique ability to take existing copy and transform it into branded content.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

If I were to have a Storm Brain create the site again, I would request fewer customized elements so we could make more changes in-house. To be fair, I made this decision initially, so it’s not an error on Storm Brain's account. When you want something beautiful and unique that no one else has, it has to be custom.

I narrowed our potential options and presented a list to my supervisor, and we decided on Storm Brain.

Because this was a brand new website, we had no previous content. Storm Brain guided us through the content creation process and offered suggestions for certain components we hadn’t considered. Once our content was ready, Storm Brain incorporated it into our website.

We will be launching our brokerage firm in about a month. We are confident that Storm Brain’s efforts to develop our website will contribute to the success of our company.

Our operations manager and I put together all the content for the site, and Storm Brain frequently checked in with us to make sure we were on track to finish within our timeline guidelines. We used Dropbox to share files back and forth.

Blake was my primary point of contact and I am not sure of the team that worked under him. Having one point of contact made the project very easy on me, as ideas went straight through him.

I have exactly what I was looking for: a website that is cool and stylish, yet simple and efficient. It gives clients all the possible information they may need about myself and my work without overburdening them with unnecessary clutter or a heavy-handed design.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The Brain Storm team is incredible. They truly listen to what you are looking for, and quickly and beautifully execute it to your exact specifications. When any issues came up, the CTO was very accessible to help address them. The guys at Storm Brain will also make sure your site remains secure and free of hacks and spam. It's nice to know that you always have your web needs covered.

This Shopify design and development project involved transforming an outdated storefront into a modern, high-performing ecommerce experience. The work included rebuilding site navigation, enhancing product page layouts, improving mobile responsiveness, and implementing a more intuitive user flow to increase engagement and conversions. The updated design delivered a cleaner, more polished interface aligned with current UX best practices.

In addition to design and development, the project included comprehensive technical SEO and Shopify-focused SEO enhancements. This covered site architecture cleanup, page-speed improvements, indexing and crawlability fixes, structured metadata updates, and optimized collection and product content. Together, these efforts ensured the new Shopify site was not only visually strong but also technically sound and positioned for long-term organic search growth.

SEO takes time, so it’s hard to see immediate results. However, we definitely saw an increase in impressions on some of our pages, and our SEO rankings were moving upwards.

I’m the head of marketing for a consumer goods company that sells health products and supplements. We have about 15 employees, but we’ll probably expand as the year goes on.

What challenge were you trying to address with Storm Brain?

We contacted them at the beginning of this year to develop our Shopify store.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we had a meeting with Storm Brain to lay out our objectives and what we wanted to accomplish with the store. We shared how many products we had and all the categories, and they came back with some initial ideas of what the store could look like.

They brought back amazing designs all around; we were impressed. Then, we chose our favorite one and moved forward with it. We gave a few suggestions for different things to add or move around, and they implemented those. Afterward, Storm Brain went ahead and started to build the shop.

We have a ton of products, and Storm Brain has got all of them on the platform. The site is responsive on desktop and mobile. We’ve had a couple of extra requests to give the product multiple options. For example, we wanted a multi-step ordering process, and they’ve done it.

Other than that, we haven’t delved too deeply into the technical side. We know Shopify has templates, but everything they’ve done has been custom; they’ve done it all from scratch.

The Shopify store is about ready to launch. Storm Brain is finishing up some labels, which is similar to the process they used when they came back with the initial designs for our labels. We’re getting those files ready to print, and then we’ll be ready to go.

What is the team composition?

We initially met with Blake (President & Founder). At the initial meeting, we also talked to Leah (CEO), Blake’s wife. Additionally, Patrick (Digital Marketing Account Manager) has been our project manager throughout the whole process. We don’t meet much with the designer, so we have three main points of contact.

How did you come to work with Storm Brain?

When we started this process, we asked our friends for many recommendations. One of them mentioned Storm Brain. Then, we searched them on Google, saw their website, and were sure we had to go with them. Overall, it was a combination of word of mouth and Google search.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $75,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in January 2024, and our relationship is ongoing. They’ve finished a few things for us, but we still have a couple more.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any numbers yet because we haven’t set the shop live. However, everyone who has seen it has been very impressed. Everything is detail-oriented, and Storm Brain is super cutting-edge regarding design styles and the latest customization techniques in development. Overall, they’ve been fantastic to work with.

How did Storm Brain perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been very responsive and engaged with us the entire time. The team is always ahead of the deadline, even when we’re late with things. We might mess up the timeline, but they can still come in before the deadline.

We’ve mainly done a combination of emails and phone calls; Storm Brain is always happy to jump on a call. If I tell them I’m trying to put something in an email but it’s too complicated, they’re ready to jump on a call immediately.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

They’re all great, but Blake really drives the ship. He pushes everything above and beyond and always goes out of his way to ensure we’re happy with everything, so I give him a little shout-out.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their designs have impressed me the most. Everything has been great, but they have so many amazing ideas that I never would’ve come up with. Even in my history with marketing, I wouldn’t have thought of them. Overall, Storm Brain has a strong team that works well together, and it shows in their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything. I’ll recommend them to all my friends and colleagues.

Listen to their ideas; they have great ideas. Also, be open-minded and trust their process; Storm Brain has developed a clear process over their years of experience. They know what they’re doing, so trust them.
