Square Root Solutions

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the digital communications executive at Leinster GAA, the administrative body promoting Gaelic games across 12 counties in Leinster. We support over 800 clubs and provide coaching, development, education, and advisory services in various operational areas.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Square Root Solutions?

We had an old website that was beginning to become outdated and no longer served the purpose we needed. We decided to hire Square Root Solutions to help us build a brand-new website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Square Root Solutions managed the full design and development of our new website, from the initial planning and website architecture through to the final build and launch. They developed a modern, responsive website with a clear and intuitive UX across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

The main deliverables included the website design and UI, information architecture and navigation, CMS development, content management functionality, responsive design, integration of key website features, and the migration and structuring of existing content.

They also worked closely with our team throughout the project to ensure the website aligned with our brand, content requirements, and the needs of our counties, clubs, players, members, and supporters.

After the launch, Square Root Solutions continued to provide ongoing technical support and maintenance. They were responsive to queries, helped resolve any issues that arose, and supported us with updates and improvements to the site. They also helped develop additional functionality and made refinements based on feedback from our team.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–5 teammates from Square Root Solutions.

How did you come to work with Square Root Solutions?

We found them through an online search. We chose them because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, and they offered good value for the cost.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from January–August 2026.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new website provided a significant improvement in the overall UX and how we manage and present content online. It had a much clearer information architecture and navigation, making it easier for supporters, clubs, counties, players, and volunteers to find the information they needed.

From an internal perspective, the improved CMS and content management functionality made it much more efficient for our team to publish and update content. The responsive design improved the experience across mobile and desktop devices, while the modernized look and structure strengthened our overall digital presence.

The project gave us a much stronger digital platform that was more scalable and better equipped to support future content, functionality, and audience growth. Feedback from internal stakeholders and users was very positive since the launch. A key theme was the improved usability and navigation, with the new structure making it much easier to find key information, fixtures, results, news, and resources.

Internally, our team also welcomed the improved CMS and content management functionality, which made updating and publishing content more straightforward and efficient. The modern design and responsive experience across mobile and desktop devices were also well received, giving us a more professional and engaging digital presence.

Overall, the feedback was that the new website was much easier to use, better organized, and more reflective of the scale and profile of Leinster GAA.

How did Square Root Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Square Root Solutions was excellent from a project management perspective. Communication was consistent throughout the project, with clear timelines, regular updates, and a collaborative approach between their team and ours. They were proactive in managing different stages of the design and development process and were very responsive when feedback or changes were required.

The project was delivered to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe. Any issues or refinements that arose during the process were handled efficiently, and the team remained flexible and solution-focused throughout. Overall, we found them very professional, organized, and easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impressed us most about working with Square Root Solutions was their ability to combine strong technical expertise with a genuine understanding of our organization and its audiences. They took the time to understand our different needs, from counties, clubs, and players to supporters and volunteers, and translated those requirements into a website that was both visually modern and highly functional.

We also found their collaborative approach particularly impressive. They were open to feedback throughout the design and development process, offered practical solutions when challenges arose, and were willing to go the extra mile to ensure the final product was right for us.
