The app enables users to create personalised financial plans, monitor cash flow, set goals, and receive real-time updates and visual insights. Squareroot also built an admin panel for plan management and reporting.

We spoke to several developers and narrow our selection to 3, after conducting several zoom meetings we decided to go with Square Root as they offer the best approach and answer all of our concerns.

We had several meetings to fully understand the objective of the project, We submitted the source code, front and back end credentials after a few weeks they deliver the first test flight to us. To correct the existing issues several new codes had to be created.

We wanted to build a bilingual Irish and English website for our business.

They designed and developed a website taking our requirements into account, with photographs, videos, diaries, event calendars, and other things you’d usually see on a school website. It’s a user-friendly site with an added login area that connects to the school system we used called VMware, which allows parents to view attendance records and so on.

We mainly worked with Ciaran (CEO), and he then delegated some of the work to his team.

Our school principal found them. He then assigned the role to me to liaison with Ciaran to develop school advice.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2019–2020. The project has ended, but they’re always available for consultation.

We’re happy with their service. Our entire school community uses the site that Square Root Solutions developed. Teachers, students, and parents go in daily, so there‘s a lot of traffic on it, and there hasn’t been any kind of bugs or crashes.

How did Square Root Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great. We were happy with Ciaran’s consultation. We met him a few times to discuss the design and content of the website, and he was always available to modify everything despite the bilingualism challenge — he was very open with our requirements.

In terms of communication, we mostly used email, phone, and personal meetings before the COVID-19 pandemic. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their availability to approach them for consultation and their ease of access are what distinguishes them from other providers. They also had the facility to continue working with us throughout the whole lockdown — that’s admirable and says a lot about them because they were eager to finish the project.

To provide an informative and user friendly end client experience to ensure that clients engaged with their pension and their adviser. In addition to ensure that the process was streamlined for the financial adviser and not complicated.

Conducted research of a number of solution providers across the market and ultimately selected Square Root Solutions based on their experience, pricing structure and their standard of support service both through the build and pot release.

To design and build an online portal and client App that we could roll out to our financial adviser clients to help them to go digital with their client communications. The project required a number of user layers of Admin, Adviser and end client, all of which needed to be designed to provide an excellent customer experience to ensure high take up levels.

We were allocated a comprehensive team of supports including relationship manager, developers and Project manager in addition to regular ceo catch ups to ensure the project was going exactly to our specifications and time-frame.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As this service is new to the market we were unsure as to what the demand would be. Whilst just launched a short period now the initial feedback has been excellent. Within the first 6 weeks of launch we have been generating revenue from advisers that have subscribed to the application and we have already revised upwards our Q2 targets for 2021.

The workflow was very effective thorough clear communication, setting clear expectations and timely changes. The team are excellent as taking onboard feedback and implementing requested changes.

The most impressive aspect was their willingness and flexibility to adapt to our changing vision of what we needed. As this is our first venture into this area our vision was not clear at the start, which resulted in us needing to change aspects of the build as we developed. The team were very accommodating to ensure that it was prefect for us no matter how long that was to take.
