UX Design in Figma plus Complete Flutter development + QA and Deployment. The Flutter Deliverables were two equivalent apps for the Android Smartphone and the Apple iPhone. The apps are ad-free and contain 350 philosophical quotes that would be sent to the user via the notifications.

The proposal stage included two team members, one headed up the UX design and was my initial point of contact and the project leader who supervised every stage of the project. The wireframe design included other UX designers that assisted on the wireframe design until complete. These were converted into final screen designs with some sample content. Once the design was approved, a programming team converted it into a working prototype. These were shared with me for comments at key milestones.

My comments were acted upon and after four reiterations, we had a completed app. The app store graphics were prepared by a designer, and a programmer completed the training overlays for a first time user of the app. Then the development team deployed the app on both the Apple Store and Android store with the requisite final programming updates to add the store links into the app referral menu option. Throughout the project, the project leader commmunicated with me with both Skype chat and web calls. I was kept well-informed and an active participant in the development process. I was impressed with their comprehensive approach and their expertise in all aspects of the app development.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It is too early to comment on these outcomes as we are just in the final days of deployment. I anticipate that it will be a valuable resource for our website visitors and give them a better understanding of the Kabalarian Philosophy.

The project leader communicated with Skype Chat and web calls when necessary. The UX design team used a shared Figma design and Skype Chat to keep me informed. They were very responsive even with a 12 hour time zone difference between the developers and myself.

They were both thorough in their execution and responsive to any communications. They had a well-knit team - bringing in additional team members for the different phases of the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, I don't see any areas where they were deficient.

The quality of the build that they send on a weekly basis has been consistently great. Additionally, they’ve saved us a lot of quality development time by taking on this project which allowed me to focus on the core of my business.

Their communication is excellent because whenever they experience any problems, they message us and respond to us right away.

Although there’s a time zone difference between our organization, that hasn’t impeded the progress of the project as far as deadlines go.

We typically interact through Slack and utilize Google Spreadsheets in the development of the product.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their seamless communication and how they go above and beyond to provide us with development recommendations.

They provide us with honest feedback and they’re always willing to adapt to our needs.

Maybe they can be clearer with deadlines but other than that, there’s nothing they could further improve.

I advise you to set clear expectations and communicate the scope of the work well. I also suggest you be willing to adapt to their suggestions.

I’m the CEO of Idva Media, a media company that provides video and music streaming services. We’re also publishers of books, e-books, and videobooks. We’ve been in business since 2014, and we’re still operating as a startup.

We needed to develop an app that’s capable of not only video and music streaming but also audiobooks and e-books — everything should be consolidated within a single app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The scope of the project is to develop and integrate an iOS SDK using native Swift programming language. This way, Square Infosoft can develop an iOS app capable of delivering EPUB content enabled through SDK. They can also deliver video and music content through our backend cloud servers. 

At present, Square Infosoft collaborates with our internal backend cloud server team to bring the project to completion.

I’ve worked with five resources from their team, namely a project manager, two senior developers, one junior developer, and a tester. One of the senior developers is a solutions architect, while the other one is their key developer. The junior developer handles our API and cloud server integration.

We tried to get this project off the ground with another developer. After running into some challenges, we switched to another resource that was the better fit for us — that was Square Infosoft. They had a highly positive track record, which we verified via their references in the US. Their personality and ethics were other factors in our decision.

We’ve spent less than $10,000. It hasn’t been a large project, but we’re planning to continue working with them in our future platforms.

The project has run into a number of challenges, such as API integration issues caused by the complex architecture of our backend servers. Square Infosoft has handled these challenges well. They have professionalism, and they’re flexible — they’re willing to push forward. Simply put, the team’s perseverance is amazing.

We actively manage the project by ourselves. As a result, we’ve asked their project manager to take a passive approach. We used Trello to manage the engagement; they set up our Trello board in the beginning, and from that point forward, we’ve been managing the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Square Infosoft is a bright team, and they have a can-do attitude. Their resources are positive, and the services are extremely competitive from a cost perspective. More importantly, they deliver quality code. Overall, we’ve had a great experience with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

A bit more flexibility in their working hours would be nice. For instance, we can touch bases quickly over the weekend. Since we're a startup, we have extended working weeks.

Compile design and specification requirements as comprehensively as possible, and think through all possible exceptions, scenarios, and challenges. That way, Square Infosoft can plan the project a bit more accurately.

The app that got delivered was good in quality and we could measure it by our users' feedbacks and stability percentage of the iOS application.

Project management style was good as we had a single POC from their end who was involved and aware of the project status real time. Communication and timelines were pretty crisp also and we did not face any delay in most of the deliverables.

Every date I have been given has beet met or improved upon, communication is always prompt and any queries are answered quickly. We are a dynamic company and requirements change frequently but this never caused any issues.

Pretty happy with the quality of output. Squaresoft had been quick in understanding the existing codebase. They were quick in developing the onboarding module. What took time was the additional bugfixes and SDK changes.
