What specific goals or objectives did you hire Smicolon GmbH to accomplish?

Simply put, the goal of Inocu, developed by Smicolon, was to create a centralized environment for the ordering and payment process. This system integrates various people in different roles with different authorizations. The primary aim was to significantly improve the work flow of the ordering and payment process. 

Previously, the monitoring and approval process of all payments during operations was mainly done manually in Excel and approved or cleared via email correspondence. One individual involved in the project was designated as the main contact person, responsible for handling questions and updating the spreadsheet. 

The problem was, on the one hand, it created an information flow bottleneck since only one person was the contact person responsible for updating the spreadsheet. On the other hand, the process was prone to errors because of this reliance on manual entries in Excel.

Following the completion of each package, it was presented to us in an online meeting by Smicolon and subsequently made available for our testing. Key deliverables encompassed various aspects, including: 

• user interface design
• infrastructure setup
• registration process
• market data supply
• customer module
• application development
• implementation of anticipated payment functionalities

This approach allowed us to closely monitor the development process and the achievement of milestones associated with the deliverables.

The measurable outcomes that demonstrated progress and success in the project primarily included the quantifiable increase in successful approvals for online payments/orders. Additionally, we took into account user feedback received after the delivery of each relevant project component. It provided clear indicators of the project's advancement and success, aligning with the development milestones and functionality deliverables.

First and foremost, our needs were thoroughly addressed, and all our specific requirements related to the project schedule were met. It's important to note that the schedule underwent significant changes compared to the original plan. This shift primarily occurred due to the expansion of the project scope during the development process, which was driven by the discovery of certain aspects that were not entirely clear at the project's outset. 

As we identified additional requirements during development, the flexibility and responsiveness of Smicolon’s team played a crucial role in adapting to these changes.

I would like to highlight their team's exceptional spontaneity, flexibility, and rapid responsiveness. The speed at which they addressed our needs was truly remarkable. One potential area for enhancement could be the pre-bug testing before a package was handed over for us to test. This could contribute to an even smoother project experience.
