We proceeded in a standard project fashion, with a kickoff meeting, and proceeded sprint-wise. Because we are both development agencies, our process was very efficient. SmartCodders worked exactly the way we needed them to work.

We only worked with one person throughout the project, but he delegated work to his team. We are uncertain how many different people worked on the project from their side.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was a success. SmartCodders was an instrumental part of this achievement. Being able to call on them whenever we required additional assistance and capacity is a great value to our company.

We worked primarily through Skype with this contractor, but also email. We worked from a shared Trello board and various other project management tools.

Our liaison at the company was very helpful and fully available to assist our internal development team in every way. He was often willing to work late to achieve our targets.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes there were challenges in communicating certain requirements. Our project staff had to more carefully document our needs. We found SmartCodders specializes at custom development, but we decided to do design and UI work internally.

Our company was established in 2010 and is located in Germany. We develop robotic running coaches and provide the service and platform that comes along with it. I'm in a supervising position when it comes to the development of the company's website and worked very closely with SuperCodders Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

SuperCodders Technologies Pvt. Ltd. took care of the development of services within the web application and maintained changes in logic. The focus of the project lied on development around the framework Joomla. Services included are for example: E-Shop, creation of training plans

The goal of the project was to have a robust website, including an e-shop for customers and a platform on which users can view their statistics and maintain further training plans.

SuperCodders Technologies Pvt. Ltd. implemented responsive design, and implemented an eCommerce solution as well as subscription and training plan functionality. All the solutions have been developed around the Joomla framework and in a way that marketing people can easily make changes without the help of programmers.

What was the team composition?

The project had around 5 people: The project manager who provides the requirements from a client point of view. Two developers responsible for the development of Joomla components and further back-end services. A Web designer that takes care of the looks and responsive element of the website and a tester who ensures the quality of the product.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The website is a major part of the robotic running coach experience since it provides the platform on which the customer can maintain his or her statistics and training programs. From another view, the website is used to sell the robots and additional services.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project was managed with the help of weekly meetings and daily communication between developers and testers. Further, software like GitLab has been used to document the progress. SuperCodders Technologies Pvt. Ltd. adapted to our working hours and working philosophy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Although both companies are separated by thousands of kilometers and a time difference of several hours, both, communication and reaction time were very fast. Additionally the quality of the code was excellent and knowledge and solutions contemporary.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The documentation of code and inline comments could be improved and would make the code even more comprehensively.
