I'm the owner of a startup freelancing marketplace in Jamaica that connects talented freelancers to individuals and businesses.

Our website was not converting well because of the limited payment gateway we had. We needed a gateway that was able to accept credit cards directly.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Sitemile are expert in Software, Apps, and Web Development and I had no doubt they would be able to complete this task effectively

The job required knowledge of WordPress development, PHP, and HTML. We communicated by online chat and email to discuss and understand the requirements. We agreed on project details and timelines work was completed accordingly.

The nature of the project didn't require me to work with more than one person who handled the job from start to finish.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

My site now works perfectly and has a payment gateway that I'm sure will help to increase conversions.

I follow up on projects daily to ensure that it's at the forefront of everyone's mind. I communicate via email and chat. I try to limit follow-ups to once or twice per day.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They offer affordable software and applications that would cost a lot more to develop or acquire elsewhere. They offer one on one support and after-sale service to ensure your needs are met. You can do business with confidence knowing that you'll have the Sitemile support

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Well for my project specifically, they could integrate the gateway I requested into all their software and apps to make it easier for clients going forward. Especially for clients from my region who will most definitely need this.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sitemile, and what were your goals?

My goal was to build an online marketplace that connects ITAD vendors and companies, allowing them to outsource some of their procurement processes saving time, reducing costs, improving value recovery, and ensuring compliance.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My goal was to create a multi-vendor freelance marketplace like Elance, Upwork, or oDesk using a theme or plugin along with apps. I figured I would need to customize a few things, but I'm hoping one of these platforms can get me 90% of the way there. I wanted customers to post projects for a specific service. I wanted to use custom forms to capture the requirements for this service.

For the vendor side, I wanted to require vendors to provide price proposals in a standard format using a custom form. The goal is to enable the customer to see an apples-to-apples price comparison, vendor customer ratings, etc. After a lot of research, I found that Sitemile had the platform that best fit my needs.

We started with the SiteMile WordPress Freelancer ProjectBidding Theme. It provided 75% of the features from the start. After I defined the requirements, we prioritized and got to work. Updates were released 1-2 times per week. We had a working platform within a couple of weeks. We brought on beta users and tested the functionality.

Within a few months, we had a well-functioning site. We used well-established technology (WordPress, custom PHP) and proven apps (Stripe) which gave me confidence in the stability and scalability.

We work exclusively with one developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

My goal was to create a platform that satisfied the needs of the supply side vendors and the demand side corporate buyer. We needed a straightforward workflow for both. Within a few months, we delivered an experience that worked by providing the convenience, security, the confidence it will be done right

The project management was effective. We used a ticket system to keep track of requests. We communicate through tickets, emails, and Skype. I was impressed by how quickly they responded and resolved any issues.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was pleased that Sitemile had the technical chops and the business sense to help me create the platform I needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

While the technology was great, I wish Sitemile had an easier way to pay for the work.
