remoteUprep.com is an independently owned ed-tech marketplace that connects high school students to tutors and advisors. We are founded on the belief that we can provide all high school students, not just the wealthy and connected, the highest quality support, professionals, and resources possible. I hired SIB to take my idea and specs and build it out on an online platform. My goals were to have a product that created maximum value for both sides of the marketplace (the students/parents and the educators/advisors) and to create a site that could scale.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found Anuj and SIB Infotech on Upwork. I was immediately impressed and thankful Anuj responded to my initial post. What stood out to me most was how excited he was to be a part of my vision.

When he showed me a mini demo of some potential site functionality in my first call with him, and how honest he was answering all my questions, I could tell right away he was someone I could trust to have a long term relationship with for my company. My initial hunch was proven entirely true.

Anuj didn't just take my specs and blindly complete them. He worked with me to improve my specs and how I could take them to the next level. Many of Anuj's inputs are what makes me so proud to launch my company. It was true teamwork. We communicated over Upwork, WhatsApp, and Zoom.

My specs were built largely in Excel, which Anuj built out using PHP. A fully functioning marketplace was created, with the ability for anyone to upload their own course content, along with a complicated calculator feature.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

I just launched and will continue to work with Anuj and his agency SIB Infotech agency in order to maximize traffic and conversions. Past clients of mine are incredibly impressed with the platform, as well as the tutors that have been onboarded so far.

Anuj and his team were always timely and efficient. It was incredible to me how all of my questions were answered so promptly and detailed. When I communicated my feedback for edits, most of that took place in Microsoft word, leaving screenshots with red text comments.

Anuj and his team would then take this and let me know if they had any additional input. Every single day once the project got rolling, I could see the edits being made in real time.

How much Anuj and his team cared about my success. Their open and honest communication, timely deliverables, and ideas that improved my platform are some additional components that I'm incredibly thankful for.

No. Everything completely exceeded my expectations.

I’m the operations manager of a university.

What challenge were you trying to address with SIB Infotech?

We needed help with our website and Google Ads management.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We run search, display, and remarketing ads during admission periods, and they’ve been helping us with this since 2015 when our university started. It was the first service we contacted them for. SIB Infotech is also revamping our website, a custom site built on PHP. They’re also in charge of our Google Ads and Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter marketing. We handle content production internally. 

They give us content spreadsheets for approval every two weeks, covering what posts will be made on each platform. SIB Infotech is developing an internal CRM and admissions management system, too.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with a project manager and a developer from SIB. I’m also in contact with Anuj (Co-Founder & CEO), but I’m not sure of their full team size. 

How did you come to work with SIB Infotech?

They started working with the university two years before I joined, so I wasn’t involved in how they were found.

How much have you invested with them?

The website development cost around 800,000 lakh rupees (approximately $11,000 USD). Then, their fee is 20% of our ad spend, and their retainer is a minimum of 100,000 lakh rupees (approximately $1,200 USD) per month.

We run most of our Google Ads from January–July, and their fee is reduced to half after that. We’re currently paying them $900 per month for Google Ads, and $300 for social media.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with SIB Infotech since around February 2015. The website redesign project started around September 2020, and we’re expecting to deploy in January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve gotten more than 3,000 leads through Google Ads in 2020, and approximately 400 admissions. SIB Infotech has produced excellent work, and they always keep us on top of our PPC and social media efforts.

How did SIB Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve given us access to their tracking software, where we can communicate and post tasks. If there’s something we don’t understand, we can call them for support.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SIB Infotech is far better than the vendor that developed our current website. They’re responsive, extremely quick, and they understand our needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing.

We started working with them in July 2020. The website launched within that month, but I am still working with them.

In the marketing part, the website they created was extremely good. They brought my ad costs down and brought me results. I am satisfied with the website and the way it looks.

How did SIB Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

They reply quickly, and they were able to get all the tasks done on time. We mainly communicated through WhatsApp messages and calls, and once a week we had video calls through Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their cooperation and marketing skills are most impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they could do a little bit more for the website. The website is extremely satisfying, and I don’t have any problems with it, but they could improve a bit there.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I never had to worry when I worked with them and about the tasks that I gave them. You don’t need to worry when working with them.

We have starting good leads through this campaign ,whereas we have managed to convert 40 % of the leads.

SIB Infotech team has a very hands on approach to the campaign with deep research taking place at every level. Both the team members can be approached anytime and they are very good listeners.

Their willingness to do lots of research and willingness to course correct. They are ready to listen to our suggestions and modify the direction accordingly.

The ending result was myself and my partner finally having the logo that makes us feel more official then we've ever felt. I’m the manager of IVF Clinics, a startup for IVF related matters. We have a portal where patients can come and seek the relevant doctors that they need. They can read reviews and see the details of what services and prices they offer.

What challenge were you trying to address with SIB Infotech?

These days pregnancy is a big concern across the globe. I wanted to give people a portal where they could get all the information they needed about IVF in one search. We needed someone to develop our portal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SIB Infotech developed the portal in PHP, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS. The portal is very complex. We briefed them on the requirement and showed them a similar website that we wanted it to be like. 

They studied it and came up with a presentation. They were 80% there and we fine-tuned it a bit. We got the proposal and financials in place, and then they started by giving us a wireframe. 

Then they gave us designs for us to choose from, and we modified one of them. They did the designs and we’d already approved the functionalities that we required. They were constantly doing the development and functionality aspect also.

What is the team composition?

I had one point of contact. On Zoom calls, there were multiple people. I think there was one designer, one developer, one point of contact, and another developer.

We got a really great reference about them and their development of portals.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from April–October 2020. It’s an ongoing process with more development happening with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The portal launched in October 2020. Clients have mentioned that it’s an exhaustive list of doctors. In terms of UI and the look and feel, it’s great. That’s some of the feedback we received. 

Another issue we had previously was that we would make something and it would never be scalable. This portal is scalable. It was up to our standards and what we were looking for. We were really happy with them.

How did SIB Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was very smooth. The best thing is that there was a single point of contact. SIB Infotech was available and had an open ear. 

The first month, we communicated probably once a week. Then for a couple of months, we communicated every two weeks for an update. Once a lot of the functionality was done, we had very frequent meetings, about once a week.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best part is that they gave us a lot of suggestions. They were very involved in the process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Give them your objectives, and SIB Infotech will come up with good suggestions. Be open and have discussions with them.
