I am the head of the IT projects department for Dan Hotels Israel. We are a hotel chain with 17 hotels in Israel and one in India.

We started developing a mobile app for our guests to check in and out independently, pay for services, and order food and beverages. We were engaged with one company, but we decided to stop working with them and brought in SevenPro for development work.

The application is for iOS and Android and is being built with React Native. The server we’re using is Node.js, and the database is MariaDB. The app SevenPro is creating has essentially been built from scratch because we’ve had to make so many changes. These changes have included switching the server and backend of the application.

We took care of the project management on our side. However, SevenPro’s developers are open and honest with our team, which is important to us. They communicate consistently, come to us with questions, and are transparent.

We wish that someone would take on a little bit more of a leadership role to make management easier.

Establish an open and honest relationship with your developers, especially when working remotely. Share information with them and be flexible with your schedule. Ensure that the team you’re working with from SevenPro is also communicative because you aren’t working in the same room.

I am the owner of a CCTV installation company. We specialize in the implementation of integrated solutions in the field of video surveillance and cable television.

For what projects/services did your company hire SevenPro, and what were your goals?

We analyzed our customers' needs and figured out that most of them need to store streaming data received from the video surveillance cameras in the cloud. There were some solutions on the market, but they only covered some of the needs, needed to be more convenient, or were too expensive. I decided to invest in creating a new product that would combine modern technology and ease of use and implement many innovations in the video surveillance systems industry. We described the product requirements and started looking for a vendor to develop this software.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was looking for a vendor on Clutch among Western Europe's top custom software development companies.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The task was to create a web application that would consist of several components, such as a personal user account, a CRM system, and a subsystem for working with video data streams, as well as additional modules, such as a module for working with the credit cards, subscribing to different service packages, affiliate program.

After a detailed analysis of requirements, SevenPro engineers proposed, in our opinion, a great solution, which combined both the development of some system parts from scratch and the integration with ready-to-use third-party services that cover typical tasks (for example, processing bank payments, video data streams, and others).

This approach saved us much money and significantly reduced time-to-market. SevenPro implemented the front-end part on React and the back-end part on Node.js. They stored large amounts of video data recordings on dedicated servers we purchased in the data center.

The team that developed the project consisted of three software developers who worked full-time under the supervision of a project manager. Also, QA and DevOps engineers were involved during the testing and deployment stages.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project implementation took longer than it was planned in the original estimate (approximately 20%). It was because we didn't fully understand some user scenarios and sometimes requested the change requests. Despite this, we generally fit into the budget since integration with third-party services took less time for engineers than estimated.

It was a pleasure to work with SevenPro. The development team worked according to the Agile, and I talked to the project manager Igor twice a week. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The main points I would highlight about the team are responsibility and professionalism. Furthermore, it is convenient to work with them since they are located in the European time zone.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It is difficult for me to mention something here, I am delighted with the cooperation with SevenPro.

We measure success by the level of knowledge and ability of development of the software engineer they provided, and they've had a smooth integration into our team.

How did SevenPro perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication is great, and they're responsive; we have daily contact with their software engineer, which works in Agile mode, so we have constant scrum meetings. I also have a contact person inside SevenPro for all the HR issues, who takes care of the administrative part of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism and level of communication are outstanding. Also, it's very easy to work with them because they're willing, proactive, and organized.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on.

We evaluate the partnership by how well SevenPro completes the tasks we've assigned them. We determine how well the deliverables incorporate into our system and their quality, which includes the number of bugs and general R&D metrics. 

How did SevenPro perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate with SevenPro daily. We use Jira and Bitbucket to manage the projects; we use the R&D management tool package from Atlassian. In Jira, developers can receive tickets, and they get descriptions of each task in Confluence. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

SevenPro's time between receiving and completing a task is really good. Also, their communication and product understanding is excellent. Their developers understand what needs to be completed off the specs alone and, using their knowledge of the product, can provide improvements to the task at hand.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

The developer from SevenPro meets our required standard, so I can't identify any improvements they could make.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers should connect resources to their team. Developers can understand products and deliver quality work when they feel they belong to the overall team — they should be involved in daily meetings, complete similar tasks, and coordinate with the internal team. That connection improves communication and deliverables.

I’m the co-founder and head of products and operations for One AI, a company providing a natural language processing API. Our corporate office is located in the US, but we have development teams in Israel and Ukraine. We also have a language studio where our prospective clients can try our products and our natural language processing skills to find the right skills to embed into their products via our API.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SevenPro helps us hire engineers from Ukraine. Although some of the resources they’ve found have relocated during the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, SevenPro continuously helps us find more employees, either from Ukraine’s safe zones or from other countries.

The process for hiring engineers through SevenPro goes as follows: First, we call our main point of contact and provide them with our requirements for the position we need to fill. Then, they look for high-level candidates. When they find suitable candidates, they send us their CVs, and we review them.

If we think a candidate would be a good fit, we interview them. After a successful interview, we tell SevenPro that we want to hire the resource. Then, they’re in charge of hiring the candidate, and we pay SevenPro a monthly fee for that engineer.

The engineers that SevenPro helps us hire work for us full-time. Still, they’re in charge of the entire HR services, which includes ensuring that the employees are happy and motivated and providing them with technical help when needed.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Although it is hard to manage resources remotely, SevenPro manages the employees they hire for us very professionally, so they stay with us for the long run as a result. Overall, we’re very happy with the engineers they provide us with, so we keep expanding our team.

How did SevenPro perform from a project management standpoint?

SevenPro has performed well. They’re very conscious of our budget, so they help us negotiate the contract terms with the resources they find. They’re also very helpful in finding the most cost-effective employees for us. We mostly communicate via email, but SevenPro is also available via virtual meetings, phone calls, and WhatsApp. Their team is very responsive and helpful. If something is urgent, they always answer, even during their holidays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SevenPro’s quality service and ability to quickly hire good engineers are impressive. Additionally, it has been very impressive that they keep finding more engineers for us despite the crisis Ukraine is going through; it is a testament to how well they function.

Make sure that your requirements are well defined and be very open about your needs and challenges. Once you hand them the requirements, you will see that SevenPro’s hiring process moves very quickly.

SevenPro developers are delivering very high-quality code. There is tough competition for good developer resources, and we’re getting a very high level of experience from the SevenPro developers for fair compensation.

My company handles most of the project management, but they do have some support measures for their developers throughout our project. They are very professional and efficient. SevenPro has excellent communication via Microsoft Teams — it’s effortless for them to understand our explanations of what we need to be done. We didn’t have many project misunderstandings with them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We are in close collaboration with SevenPro, and they truly understand the resources we need and have allowed me to interview each developer before bringing them onto a project. Other providers I’ve worked with haven’t done that, and often those resources don’t fit the project needs. I also appreciate that SevenPro takes good care of their developers, ensuring they feel safe and motivated.

Seven Pro was utilized to provide experienced consultants from Ukraine that we are able to offer our clients mobile, backend, and web development services.

How did you select this agency and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking to expand our services by offering Eastern European software developers. During our search, we found Seven-Pro. Through 20 years of experience, we have a vetting process that Seven-Pro was able to pass and we tested several of their developers for quality.

They provided 4 software developers who were able to work on our clients in the Agriculture and Human Resources industries. These projects were focused on front-end and back-end development. These developers were able to provide not incredible only software development but also experienced software design consultancy.

Our recruitment process is currently, we interview the candidates for their command of the English language, and then, typically, we will test the candidates. However, we also will use the candidates for at least a month.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Seven-Pro was able to ensure that their developers were able to successfully manage their commitments. Most importantly, they were experienced enough to ensure issues were raised when needed. Communication is the key to successful nearshore and offshore project.

The workflow was very good due to the experience and command of English from their Ukrainian software developers.

Their most impressive aspect is the attention to detail and communication skills of their staff.

On a continual basis, QKSS and Seven-Pro are improving the detail needed for our hiring process.

I’m the account planner for a creative tech firm in Japan. I’m in charge of sales and account management.

We had a plan to release a new service, so we were searching for a team that could collaborate with us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SevenPro provided site design and a landing page for our new service. They did the design on Figma.

We had a vague idea of the service and page. It took quite a long time before we started the project. First, they gave us mood boards to define the direction and style of the page. After discussing and having meetings, the designer came back to us with an amazing character and landing page design.

We made animations and transitions along with the scrolling of the page, and this was their proposal. They used beautiful and fresh colors, which aren’t very used in Japan. The character was also original, which moved in the main visual.

In the beginning, we connected with one person. After starting the project, there was an account manager and a designer.

We found them on LinkedIn. They sent a message to our CEO, who connected with them first. We had a meeting, and I also met them.

It was a very accessible price. In Japan, this type of quality would be impossible for that amount. We appreciated the friendly price.

The design was very new for us; it had a sophisticated and organized structure. We were very satisfied with the fresh look and uniqueness, as well as the adorable character.

On the other hand, not all the members of our team were very good at English, so they made efforts to compromise and understand our demands. They also shared detailed information with us, which was great.

How did SevenPro perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great. We delayed the schedule and made them wait, so we appreciated their patience. After we decided on the concept and wireframes, everything was on schedule. The designer was also very hospitable and helped us a lot.

We used Slack and email for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The balance of efficiency and devotion was outstanding. To cover both of those is not an easy thing, but they did it brilliantly. SevenPro did everything at a remarkable speed and always gave us prompt replies and information.

Moreover, they were hospitable and original. Everyone was kind, and we were very impressed with their ability to change images to concrete shapes and characters.

SevenPro approached us when we were thinking about implementing this project and helped us to develop the idea itself. I did like the professional level of the company and how the communication process was. They were taking care of our project like of their own.

The developing process was on time/on budget, with the milestones completed ahead of schedule. We measured their progress by how well they met timelines and budgetary requirements, and they have exceeded expectations.

The workflow between the companies was very professional. If there were any issues, they let us know in advance and solved them smoothly. It didn't affect deadlines.

It's hard to say. We did enjoy working with SevenPro and they even exceeded our expectations. They became to go to company in case we would need partners to cooperate with.
