The tech people business people love to work with!
Seven Hills Technology is a custom software development and product agency that helps companies turn ideas, operational bottlenecks, and legacy systems into scalable software products and platforms. Based in Cincinnati, we partner with organizations that need more than a dev shop—they need a team that can align business goals, user needs, and technical execution.
Our team supports the full product journey through Assessment, Strategy, Design, Delivery & Development, and Continuous Improvement. We help clients determine what to build before they invest heavily in building it, then execute with UX/UI design, custom software engineering, integrations, cloud architecture, data strategy, and AI-enabled solutions. We have strong expertise in the Microsoft/.NET ecosystem while building across modern stacks based on client needs. In a market where AI tools are speeding up development, we believe clarity and alignment matter more than ever.
Seven Hills is known for a collaborative, no-fluff approach and strong execution. Our philosophy is simple: we build what clients need, not just what they asked for. That means asking better questions, identifying risks early, and designing solutions that work inside real business environments—including security, data flows, APIs, and operational realities.
Clients work with us through lower-risk gateway projects (like assessments and strategy sprints) or larger implementation engagements. Whether we’re modernizing an existing platform, validating a product direction, or building a new custom solution, our goal is the same: help teams move faster, make smarter technology decisions, and deliver meaningful outcomes.
Seven Hills Technology offers competitive pricing with project costs ranging from $10,000 to $130,000, depending on the client's needs. Clients appreciate the value for cost, noting efficiency and effective communication, resulting in successful project outcomes.

What challenges were you trying to address with Seven Hills Technology?
We needed help building a web and mobile app's architecture, prototype, and final product.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Seven Hills Technology provides Android and iOS mobile and web development for us. They’ve walked me through the architecture of the technology to help me understand everything, from the wireframing to how the UI/UX would go, considering our definition of user personas. We’ve also worked on addressing issues that could happen once we’re done with the platform. Moreover, they’ve been focusing on bottling down my ideas to an actual tangible product.
What was the team composition?
We worked with six members of Seven Hills Technology’s team.
How did you come to work with Seven Hills Technology?
I met Seven Hills Technology through a networking event and connected with their sales department. I chose them because they were accessible, and I could talk about the technology in a way that allowed me to understand their approach and helped me understand a few unfamiliar components.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent around $10,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2021, and the engagement is still ongoing.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

What did you find most impressive about them?
I've been impressed with Seven Hills Technology's consistent communication.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think there's anything they can improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be certain about what you want to build so that Seven Hills Technology's team can scope everything accurately and walk you through the process.

Seven Hills Technology designed and developed a web portal and iOS and Android mobile applications for a sports training platform. The team built on top of the existing wireframes and launched an MVP.
Thanks to Seven Hills Technology’s work, the client saved between $50,000–$75,000 in development costs and continuously doubled their monthly revenue. The team delivered before deadlines and managed the project well via Jira, Slack, and emails. Overall, they were always on top of the project.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at Pro Elite Technology, a subsidiary of The Business Hospital.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seven Hills Technology?
We needed help with custom software development. We didn’t build the app correctly the first time, so it wasn’t working. We needed someone to point us in the right direction and make the product functional. Moreover, we wanted to increase sales and improve the application’s look and functionality.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Seven Hills Technology built our APIs and got us closer to launching our MVP. They worked on everything from wireframes to developing mobile and web interfaces. They also worked on brand design, functionality, and UI/UX.
Initially, we had a discovery call to show them the old MVP and wireframes. We told them that the previous developer had brought us to that point, but we needed to switch companies to make the app more functional and get it to market. Seven Hills Technology listed everything we needed and explained the process thoroughly. From there, they worked in fast design sprints.
The technology was nested in web and app development, so Seven Hills Technology built a web portal and the iOS and Android apps surrounding it. They had to rebuild many aspects from scratch. We initially had a framework, and they built on top of it, so we didn’t have to start completely over. They used Figma and React Native and integrated payment transactions.
The application was for training videos for athletes; users could train in their respective sports with music aid. Seven Hills Technology created the video cradles and overlapped them with music so we could measure BPM and training functionality.
Additionally, they ensured our landing page had all the information, explainer videos, and tutorials for the features.
What is the team composition?
We had at least 6–7 team members directly assigned to us.
How did you come to work with Seven Hills Technology?
We found them through a Google search in the Cincinnati area.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October 2021–February 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Seven Hills Technology exceeded our expectations. We went from having zero people on the platform to having about 60–100 users in the first month after launch. We also saw increased sales inside the application, so we doubled our monthly revenue each month. Finally, we saved about $50,000–$75,000 in development due to their lean, fast, and efficient service.
How did Seven Hills Technology perform from a project management standpoint?
They communicated their timelines and often finished them 1–2 days before the deadline. The team was always on top of everything and provided updates about what was happening. If we needed to sign off on any changes, they were helpful.
When we launched, they didn’t go away; they helped us through the launch, ensured there were no bugs, and set us up with AWS so we could monitor our own analytics.
They used Jira, Slack, and emails for project management.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Brad (Partner) was very hands-on, and it was nice to have the CEO guiding us. He charged the rest of the development staff to ensure our requests came to life. Overall, we wanted to thank him for his leadership.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their biggest strengths were their attention to detail and cooperative approach. They took our recommendations and offered their keen eye on what they thought would look better, and we really appreciated that insight.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of any areas of improvement. We’d love to do multiple projects with them; they were perfect.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you list out everything in your discovery meeting. They’re very attentive and willing to help you build your vision. However, you should understand that there will be changes. You can’t come in with a rigid vision.

Seven Hills Technology builds and maintains the architecture design of an on-demand delivery firm's entire system, including their web-based admin portal, consumer-facing web app, and two mobile apps.
Seven Hills Technology's deliverables have often met the client's expectations. Their team has provided excellent leadership, feedback, and strategic direction as they build out the system's new functionalities. Moreover, they are excellent at communicating any delays due to unexpected challenges.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a cofounder of Joey - On-demand Delivery. My role in the company is managing partner and I also fulfill the role of Business Consulting, and Chief Technology Officer.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Seven Hills Technology, and what were your goals?
Seven Hills took over the development and architecture design for the entire Joey system. This includes a web based admin portal for management of all the drives, drivers, businesses, and reporting. The system includes two mobile apps as well. SHT is the development team for Joey.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had previous experience with a developer and needed a company to jump in and take over as fast as possible. Seven Hills was one of 3 companies we reviewed and due to their culture parallels, location, and overall leadership team, we decided to partner with them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The project is a multi-year development and management relationship. Throughout the last 3 years, Seven Hills has effectively taken ownership of all the technology aspects of Joey.
The Joey team and leadership has been able to communicate process and strategic initiatives and Seven Hills has been able to meet or exceed in every area. The key deliverables are the ongoing success and stability of the web based admin portal, two mobile apps, including a consumer facing progressive web application.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team has ranged from 3 people to as many as 6 over the past 5 years. The roles are all typical for a development relationship of this size, including:
developers
project managers
design
testing resources
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The deliverables have nearly always met our expectations. Seven Hills actually provides a good bit of leadership and feedback as we build out new functionality and provide our strategic direction.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
While timelines have slipped in the past, I would have to say Seven Hills does a very good job of communicating and most of the timeline issues have either been due to an unexpected complexity, or in most cases a scope or process change that the Joey team proposed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The culture of Seven Hills Technology is very entrepreneurial and matches very well with startups, especially Joey. The local resources and management team really help us feel like SHT is more of a partner than just a consultant doing work for the company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Of the normal, better, faster cheaper options I think the only one I could think of improvements for would be faster. While budgets have stretched a bit, it's typically because of the Joey team and scope changes or timeline adjustments. Seven Hills could do a little better at managing estimates and pushing back on the Joey team when enhancements are requested.

Seven Hills Technology provides custom development for a software company. They’ve built a web-based customer access portal. The team has also done integrations with the client’s ERP and third-party tools.
The client is delighted with Seven Hills Technology's work; the portal has received overwhelmingly positive user feedback. The team scores fairly high in project management and collaborates well through Jira and quarterly strategy meetings. Their focus on the client's needs stands out.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at a software company.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Seven Hills Technology?
We had some special projects we needed to complete that we didn’t have the resources for, primarily because it wasn’t in our area of expertise. We contracted with Seven Hills Technology for them to write custom solutions that aren’t directly related to our software but to the other services we offer.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Seven Hills Technology has built a customer access portal for us where our customers and resellers of our products can log in. The product is web-based, heavily dependent on SQL databases, and integrated into our ERP system. We collaborated with their team on the design, working closely on its iterations. They handle all the development work.
One of the portal’s main features is password security and login credentials. Users can also relocate to third-party tools through the platform. Our customers use these tools as part of their service, and we didn’t want them to log into 3–5 different places. Seven Hills Technology integrated the third-party tools and created a secure process to send over their login information.
Another major component of the portal is a document management system the team has built. Our company has customers worldwide who need to share files with us. For example, customers send diagnostic files to our support team when they have a problem. The document management system enables customers to input files, which are then stored securely in Microsoft Azure, and our employees can access them. That way, we can provide support from anywhere in the world. The system also enables us to share files back with the customer.
Seven Hills Technology has also integrated this document management system into our ERP system. Since our customer records are in our ERP system, this integration allows our support team to find a customer’s name, find out what products they’re using, and ensure they’ve paid their maintenance fees before providing support.
Another feature the team has added is portal visualization of our ticketing system. The portal takes the support tickets from our ERP system and displays them for the customer, who can see them when they log in. They can also add messages or files to their tickets. Seven Hills Technology currently does maintenance for the portal. We’re also starting to scope phase two of development with them.
What is the team composition?
We’ve had around eight teammates from Seven Hills Technology working on the project at one time or another, including a QA person, six developers, a designer, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Seven Hills Technology?
We initially made contact with them through mutual acquaintances on LinkedIn. I interviewed them, and we agreed that there were many opportunities where their expertise aligned with our needs.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $130,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I'm delighted with Seven Hills Technology's work. We've rolled out phase one of the portal to all our employees, customers, and resellers globally. Hundreds of our customers are already registered and using the platform. Although I expected users to find things that needed improvement, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We don't have any metrics because it's a brand new project, so we don't have something to compare it to.
How did Seven Hills Technology perform from a project management standpoint?
I would give them a fairly high score for project management. We use Jira, where I have access to their board. We have a retrospective every two weeks for the sprints. Since we're in the same city, we meet in person quarterly for long-term strategic planning.
As for communication tools, we use our company's Microsoft Teams channels, where I have individual contact with the team. We also have groups within the platform where we do calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Seven Hills Technology's biggest strength is their willingness and ability to work with customer needs. They're very focused on giving us what we need.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The area where I want us to improve together next year is tightening up the organizational management of our projects. Although the work is getting done, there are times when we could benefit from more tightness of the organizational structure.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You need to know what you want. However, it isn't easy to know what you want and communicate it clearly when starting a project with a third party. Seven Hills Technology is better than most at receiving requirements. However, I've learned that I could have done a better job thinking about the frontend to know what I wanted and needed ahead of time.
