Although SEO Works' professional opinion is often correct, we'd stray away from the campaign at times and reprioritize. We would have done this differently for sure - as they know best and have multiple case studies on what works/doesn't.

There people skill, I have been in tech for over 20 years and find usually its difficult to have phone calls with engineers, as there so much used to dealing with email. SEO works, in particular Elliott, goes beyond that, ensures we have regular calls and catch ups and goes in detail the work which has been done.

I cant think of a single thing they could have done different, everything was perfect

Our SEO was declining in rankings and we didn't know if we rather hire an in-house SEO or hire an agency to bring them back, we decided on hiring SEO Works to provide hands on solutions.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Right on the call we were impressed with few suggestions made, we, as founders who had vast SEO & PPC knowledge, and consulted with a lot of people prior, didn't come up with the solutions that they had, and again, right on the intro call, before even paying / signing anything. We were impressed and decided to move on with them.

They analyzed the site, handed out technical sheet, and then kept handing more and more requirements (which is exactly what we wished for, don't get me wrong). They are open to listen and change tactics if needed (for instance as we are event based company sometimes there are hot events from out of nowhere). The campaigns have been sucessful and the results really shows.

1 contact for PR, 1 contact for SEO, they work together and of course they are the managers so they have teams as well but we haven't gotten to meet them.

We measure traffic, rankings and sales, both are showing great results.

They are really open about everything, if we want a meeting it will happen within a day or the same day, they don't hide anything and really we would've communicated more if we had the time, we give them a free hand and don't need to worry about a thing.

Well, with SEO it takes time, they never avoided in the first 6 months as it takes time to take off with the rankings.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really, we're working together on everything and if we have ideas they will listen and if needed even temporarily change tactics.

We needed help with SEO.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The SEO Works is in charge of our SEO. They first evaluated our website to determine if we were running at the optimum level regarding our SEO and then looked into new opportunities to drive traffic and customers to our site. We've worked closely on keyword research. They've made some structural changes to the site, working closely with our in-house design and website teams to implement them. The SEO Works has full backend access to the site to make reasonable changes autonomously. They've also helped us publish legal content we generate using targeted keywords on our site.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with four teammates: Tom (Senior Business Development Manager), Liam (Senior SEO Account Executive), and an SEO assistant. 

How did you come to work with The SEO Works?

Before starting with The SEO Works, we approached 5–6 different agencies with a project brief. We got presentations from each company, and The SEO Works was the best suited for our project.

We've invested over £25,000 (approximately $30,000 USD), possibly around £30,000 (approximately $36,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in April 20221.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our site traffic has increased, but more importantly, our new industry-specific keywords are ranking well. We've definitely seen a positive impact from The SEO Works work. Before we started the project, we'd noticed a lot of red flags about our site speed, but The SEO Works has rectified that issues. Our site is now faster and more Google compliant. They've cultivated the backend, which is a massive win for us.

How did The SEO Works perform from a project management standpoint?

The SEO Works has no problem staying on a budget because they're on a monthly retainer. We have monthly meetings with them and receive interactive monthly reports from The SEO Works that measure our progress. When reading the report, we reference our targets outlined in our original brief to measure our progress towards hitting our targets. We pivot the project's focus if needed, which has been a huge help.

Typically, we communicate through Google Meet and email. We don't use anything fancy to manage the project, and The SEO Works does have access to the website, so they don't have to relay changes through us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The SEO Works has been able to quickly come into our industry and pick up our business ethos and motivation — we're in a very niche industry. Their team has immersed themselves in our industry and learned how to cultivate and retain customers. In short, their ability to quickly understand our business model and deliver results is impressive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for The SEO Works to improve — they've interacted well with our in-house teams. They're very professional and polite; they're clear about what they are doing and their motivations.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise customers to have a clear, concise brief and ask whether or not it's something The SEO Works can deliver on. It's important to align on the brief to manage expectations.

We are a well-known brand in its niche. However, that means we are known for who we are, and not what we do. Therefore the core objective was to move our digital footprint to be about what we do and thereby enable us to move into new markets and extend in existing ones, where we weren't known. Add to that the website had never been properly optimized for SEO, so there was very much a set of work to be done to make the site technically sound.

SEOworks was selected after a review of suppliers in the marketplace by a marketing consultant working for the company in Early 2021

The work was twofold - technical SEO to improve the site's functionality and ease of use, and a content and SEO optimization-led strategy to build out the scope of search terms the site could be found for. This included an audit of keywords to rank for, a review of the site's technical issues, and the planning and implementation of a relevant content strategy.

The main contact was an SEO Account Manager, and he would then bring in content creators to discuss subjects, plans etc So one main contact, with one or two additional contacts

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project moved our core measure of brand/non branded traffic from being 80/20 to 59/41, and with that placed us in the top 10 google results for many of our keywords. Additionally, it markedly improved the site health and domain authority

Good updates both via a monthly report and google docs based WIP. These were enhanced by a monthly account management call, plus ad hoc calls, and emails throughout the month.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

SEOworks is a professional organization that knows its subject matter well. In particular, they provided an account manager who was excellent at his job, approachable, and knowledgable, while also being able to explain the complexities of SEO in an easy-to-understand manner.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not directly. As a small account for SEOworks, I accepted that our time with them was limited to just a few days a month. This did make things feel restricted, but you get what you pay for.

From the initial position of 100 on all keywords within seven months we were hitting page one with a Google of a number of keywords together with significant positioning on page 2

Re-branding project as well as design and development of a brand new website - supported by SEO and PPC campaigns Our goals were to increase the ISDM brand awareness and drive traffic to the new site to increase inquiries and conversions.

How did you select The SEO Works and what were the deciding factors?

We reviewed the portfolio of work on the SEO Works website and asked for a bespoke proposal for re-branding and website design. The deciding factor was the level of expertise shown in the proposal and the detail in delivering the overall project.

in the discovery phases they assisted with Keyword searches which aided the content creation for the website. In addition we worked with Blunt Crayon to define the brand positioning and overall look and feel. Once the brand was realised, the website took shape - with regular meetings and content creation.

After a soft launch, we amended some aesthetics to the site and began the process of content optimisation with the SEO Works. Accordingly, the PPC, keywords and banner ads went live in Feb.

We had numerous people from the website development team working with us (approx 4/5) in addition to 2 people from Blunt C. (on the re-brand) and 4 people from a PPC/SEO perspective.

Too early at this stage, but we have already seen a significant increase in traffic to the new site.

we used Google Meets and Docs for sharing information as well as setting critical paths and roadmaps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Developing a website and re-brand in lockdown certainly had it's challenges. I was impressed at how responsive the project managers were to any issues that arose.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the website development stages we had a few challenges with content and editing. At times meetings were not deemed a priority and we were advised that everything was up to date. On a few occasions this was not always the case, and work had to be re-done that might not have been needed to had the meetings been deemed appropriate.

I am the digital marketing manager for BearingPoint//Beyond, which is owned by a larger consultancy company, BearingPoint.

What were your goals for this project?

We sought to improve our SERP ranking for certain keywords, to increase traffic to our website, and to convert traffic into leads.

I was not involved in the selection process between other vendors, however we were improessed with SEO Works' initial presentation, and initial introductory calls.

This is an ongoing project to achieve our goals as already mentioned. Analysis of our previous work with our previous agency was undertaken. PPC and display ads were created and ongoing we work together to uncover new keywords and create new ads. Our online content has been reviewed and changes to copy and some design elements have been made in order to achieve our goals.

What was the team composition?

Following the initial introduction to SEO Works we requested to be intorduced to the team who we would be dealing with personally - we now have been dealing with two people ongoing - 1 PPC, 1 SEO.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After a lot of initial work it seemed that it was slow on the uptake (but of course this is the nature of SEO) - now we are seeing some great results - keywords moving up on SERPs and additional leads coming in as a direct result. We are working together and constantly trying different things in order to work out the best way to improve our results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have fortnightly meetings and the team is in touch regularly in between. They are always responsive and follow up emails in a timely manner. We decided to introduce bigger quarterly calls so we can look at the work from a top level view and this has been very useful in keeping us on track.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are professional and knowledgeable, and they're also always happy to seek answers from others within the company in order to get to the bottom of a question or find a solution.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In the beginning things were very fast paced and moved well - there seemed to be a bit of slow down in the middle but after some discussions we have picked back up and things are going well. Sometimes it is difficult to understand what is going on in the background but they are always happy and quick to answer when we ask.

We had experienced a fast period of growth, and gone through a company MBO, so we needed a website overhaul that represented the new look of the company and outlined our whole group services. We wanted it to a personable, easy to navigate and modern website which would enable us to capture enquiries to the full capacity.

How did you select this vendor?

The SEO Works had previously provided us with SEO & PPC services. The quality of this previous work and the relationships we built made them an easy choice to appoint as our Website Developers for our new custom site and for our rebranding. We did look at 5 other website agencies across our region and had various meetings just to 'shop around', however our decision was already made. SEO Works also provided the best pitch and professional manner in line with ours.

The project was very straight forward from start to finish. We had set a completion date and SEO Works consistently worked to those parameters. SEO Works tasked their developers with getting the early visual templates out to us as quickly as possible and the communication was consistently fast. The SEO Web team outlined the project delivery timeframes in number of weeks per part, at the end/ beginning of each week - we would run through new additions/changes/visuals/sitemaps and content. We had a fairly technical challenge in the structures of our homepage, however SEO works managed to come up with a solution that worked perfectly.

We had contact with a Sales Director, who would check in weekly. A webteam lead/project manager who was our day to day contact and his supporting developers - who were always reachable.

Our website has a been a huge success, with industry competitors even praising its style. We have rebranded other parts of our company in line with the Logos /themes created by SEO Works. Our business continues to grow expansively - and our website is a highly used tool in delivering this.

We began the campaign with a kick-off meeting, working with a Business Development Manager and Account Manager to outline our needs and discuss how to progress with the campaign.

SEO Works then undertook some key audits and analyses before working with us to create a strategy that would be adaptable to suit our business needs. We then met monthly to discuss progress and plan for the upcoming month.

We've continued to see great improvements in our Geospatial keyword rankings, with main keywords ranking around page one on Google A number of our 'mid-table' keywords are starting to rise in the Google ranks We have a content plan in place to provide growth to the remaining chosen keywords that are not currently ranking.
