I'm the CTO of iTaxi.pl. We have three mobile applications for iOS and Android. We help customers find cabs faster and easier, which leads to greater satisfaction.

We were growing very quickly and needed to deliver an appropriate application and support system. In order to operate at this scale and account for our continued growth, we wanted to recruit experienced software engineers to augment our in-house team.

How did you select this vendor?

We needed experienced, flexible development resources. We also wanted to choose developers ourselves, and not many outsourcers offer that option. We noticed their range of talents and decided to work with them.

They created a business panel that allowed companies to order a taxi from the website, verify reports and settlements, and manage access for employees. It also had a module for contractors and drivers to manage fuel sales and car services. That feature had modules for data import and reporting, as well as an integration with accounting and payroll systems.

They also built an administrative panel with a module for managing contractors; a module for managing drivers; a module for reporting courses; a module for searching, viewing, and editing taxi fares; a module for accounting and debt collection; a module for managing benefits packages; and a module for managing users. 

They also created a course summary with an RWD technology panel that allowed users to evaluate the course, verify their route on a map, and understand our promoted services. They currently provide backend development support.

We worked with a project manager and a few PHP software developers and web developers.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. helped us develop a scalable, accessible, and user-friendly product. The expansion of our software has allowed our customers to better view and manage their taxi rides. Since the project was a success, we’ve extended our engagement with them. 

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They served as part of the internal team. They contributed to our Slack channels and communicated with us frequently. They were highly engaged with our development efforts and generally completed their work on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. employs good engineers. It's a challenge for every employer to manage attitudes, mentalities, and external stresses or frustrations. They had some of the most professional people I’ve ever worked with. They were as much of a model team as possible, considering that they weren't actually on our team.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No; their billing was transparent, the team was talented, and the price was extremely competitive.

I am the chief product officer (CPO) and co-founder of Booksy. Booksy is a beauty marketplace for finding, scheduling, and managing appointments, anchored by a SaaS app for business management. It creates a convenient and easy connection between customers and their health and beauty providers while utilizing everyone’s favorite can’t-live-without accessory—their cell phone.

We engaged Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. to help our team with a number of software development projects.

What were your goals for this project?

We didn’t have enough internal resources to independently carry out our development work, so we decided to outsource them. Thanks to this, we have noticed an increase in productivity.

My co-founder and I have worked with them on previous projects, so we know them and their quality of work. When the time came for us to choose a software company to help, we decided to work with them because of our previous good experience.

Sensi Labs works with our internal development team to develop and maintain various software products such as: Pipedrive—system expansion and integration, Braintree—system expansion and integration, and payment methods. In addition, they help us bug fix current problems.

What was the team composition?

They have one project manager who’s with us throughout the whole process. We also work with frontend and backend programmers. Their company has enough staff that they are able to provide an experienced team when we need it, rotating in members as required. The current team that works with us consists of PHP, Python, and Java developers.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We are very satisfied with the results. Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. works in a transparent manner, providing accurate estimates in advance. They are ready to face challenges and can work under time pressure, which helps us to meet the deadlines. They have an impact for our company in terms of work power, so we are able to develop faster because of their services.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Most of a time we use our own project manager because we prefer to keep that responsibility on our end. We have a better understanding of the project and how it relates to our business, so we decided it would be more efficient to have them focus solely on the technical components. 

Looking at their work ethic, they are focused and goal-oriented. Each task is well executed. If necessary, they provide objective feedback on any problems and challenges that arise.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They always deliver projects on time. If there is a problem, they alert us in advance and promptly address it. We’ve never felt left in the dark. Additionally, they are very flexible. When we decide to change the project’s direction, Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. is able to quickly rotate staff to accommodate our requests.

No, I'm very satisfied with everything I've done with them so far.

The project is still underway. Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. delivered an MVP of the app in March 2019.

Sensi Labs Sp. z o.o. is one of the most professional companies I’ve worked with. My company was initially hesitant to work with a company located so far away, but their excellent communication skills have ensured complete transparency. Having one project manager throughout the process has allowed for great continuity. They have provided developers as needed.  

Their effective scheduling is a significant benefit to our partnership. The team provides weekly updates and monthly reports. We communicate via phone and email.

We had several meetings in the UK and Poland where we discussed the business needs for our product. Sensi Labs brought their technical knowledge to the table and assisted in translating our requirements into clear specifications. After the contract was signed, they immediately initiated the development process. They gave us updates every two weeks to let us know how things were going, and if they had any questions, they asked us straight away.

The project achieved its objectives and delivered the expected results. From the very beginning, the issues we experienced with the previous platform were noticeably less.

Their project management was well-organized and efficient. They adhered to the timeline and consistently delivered tasks as scheduled. Any updates or changes were promptly communicated every two weeks, ensuring we were always in the loop. In response to our needs, they were proactive and attentive.

It's to early to say (app is less than a week in both app stores) but it works great.

The HumanDOC International Documentary Film Festival has been developed on the basis of the HumanDOC Foundation activities. Our mission is to broaden public awareness of the global issues and to support economic, information and democratic development of society.

We needed to build a new website from start to end in less than 30 days.

They were only company who said yes when we've told how tight schedule we have.

We've required to have new website describing the annual festival, besides informational pages, it had to contain schedule, movie information and trailers. Sensi prepared new design and after our acceptance, they've built website.

For us it's a must-have to own a website that explains our actions and inform about festival. It's an extremely important part of our business.

It was just perfect - we had weekly statuses and daily communication if something was required to be resolved asap.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They were the only company who picked up the glove and said "we will do it". We had extremely short time till next festival and it seemed it will be almost impossible to achieve the goal of new website. They've pulled it off and delivered the website even faster than intended, it was amazing.

What were your goals for this project?

My primary goal was to create a clean, simple site for our customers. We also needed better communication and document workflow. We struggled with late or low-quality documents from customers.

I wanted to work with a local company that offered a competitive price. Also, we've worked together on a few other projects.

Sensi Labs provided design work and built the site using WordPress. They developed a custom electronic document workflow platform for our internal use, providing wireframes and a complete design of the tool in the process. They continue to maintain the platform and update features as needed.

I mostly work with a project manager, but I've also worked with two developers.
