Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing and business development manager for Chester Inc. We have two divisions: commercial and industrial construction and the other part is agricultural systems. We provide center pivots, grain storage bins, and grain dryers to farmers.

What challenge were you trying to address with SEM Web + SEO?

We reached out to SEM Web + SEO for their SEO services. When people search for a building, irrigation systems, or grain storage, we want to pop up higher than our competitors. We also want to be visible when people search for something related to what we do.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SEM Web + SEO mainly provides us with SEO and SEM services. They help us create articles, build backlinks, and update photos on our website as needed. We plan to have them revamp some of our site pages down the road.

We only have one point of contact from their team: Jerry.

I’ve been with my company for under two years, and I believe we were already working with SEM Web + SEO before I came on board.

We’ve spent between $27,000–$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with SEM Web + SEO, we’ve been seeing more traction on our website. Overall, the project is going well, and we have no complaints.

How did SEM Web + SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate with Jerry via email and virtual meetings. Whenever we need something, I just send him an email and then hop on a meeting virtually.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to shout out to in this review?

Jerry helps us out a lot. He checks in with us monthly to go over where we appear on searches and what keywords are coming up. He also works with us to put together articles and implement any necessary updates on our website.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like our personal meetings with Jerry — he always helps us understand what we’re trying to do. We also feel comfortable asking him questions because he explains things in layman’s terms.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Jerry has been doing a great job overall, but he should let people know he can provide other services besides SEO and SEM.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Take advantage of the virtual meetings because you’ll learn a lot from them. You’ll know what you’re paying for and how it’s helping you, and you'll see what’s actually happening with your project. It’s also important to have a service like this because you'll get lost if you don’t have someone working behind the scenes for you.
