Seedium is our tech partner in building a complex healthcare analytics platform. 

When we started our cooperation, we had only an ambitious idea, and they helped us turn it into a user-friendly SaaS solution that’s now in its beta version. They handled the entire product development process, including UX/UI design, front- and back-end development, integrations, and QA.

The platform features a large database built from multiple data sources and updated quarterly. It now includes detailed profiles of 4,500 licensed medical facilities across the U.S. The Seedium team did a great job making this data accessible and easy to explore through numerous user-friendly dashboards for analysis.

We still have many exciting features planned, and we completely trust Seedium to bring them to life.

Seedium helped us to develop a web application for our client that provides a centralized dashboard for smart home management. The platform allows users to monitor device activity and energy usage. The frontend was built with React.js, while the backend uses Node.js to manage complex API integrations and real-time data processing.

The app connects with major smart home ecosystems. It also provides insights and alerts to optimize home performance and efficiency.

Seedium provided us with a full cycle of development services, including frontend and backend development. They also helped with UX/UI, even though the client already had basic app designs.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a co-founder and CPO of a software services platform that supports the joint business planning process between consumer goods manufacturers and retailer customers. This process is where they annually agree on what they’re going to do in-store. 

Typically, the discounts are funded by the manufacturer, and additionally, the manufacturer tends to pay for special premiums based in the store.

For both parties is a very important commercial process, and it also includes things like the introduction of a new product and pricing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Seedium?

We had built a large part of our platform over the last five years, and we were about to scale significantly with a big retailer in the US. On the back of that, we had some more development work to do, specifically around the reporting that the retailer needed.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Seedium has helped us further build our platform. They’ve added new functionality and helped us port it to a new backend. The team has updated some of the existing functionality. The team has provided a full team, including backend developers, a UX designer, testers, and a frontend developer.

We’ve briefed them on the specs and what they need to build. The team works remotely and provides us with a large amount of development resources.

What is the team composition?

We have a project manager on our side, and they have a project manager who runs the project and checks the progress. We also work with a lead backend developer and a UX designer. We hired them through their CEO, and there was a business development manager involved as well. 

How did you come to work with Seedium?

We did an extensive search on development agencies and reviewed 20 different companies.

How much have you invested with them?

We have a monthly run rate of about €35,000–€40,000, about €140,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They're easy to work with and very dedicated. We're especially happy with the lead backend developer, who is very experienced and proactive in proposing new solutions.

How did Seedium perform from a project management standpoint?

It took a long time to get the team up and running in a productive way, but that's because we hired them as a team into an existing platform that they were further developing.

We use Jira for overall planning and GitHub for release and new development planning. We also use Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Slack. For each sprint, they run daily stand-ups and biweekly retrospectives. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are a very good and coherent team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We'd like to see more insight and involvement in their team's internal workings. They operate more or less independently, and we don't always know the process they're going through. 
However, we've changed some of our joint ways of working, so that's working better now.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Work with them to find the right team for you, depending on the work you need to do. We met the key people on the team beforehand, which is always important, especially if people are working off-site. 
Make sure that you agree upfront and keep working on that, which they are always working on that are appropriate for you. 
In our case, it turned out to be more important to be closely linked to the overall development process.

I am the owner of a small digital agency in Switzerland called Nusign. We do client projects, and we build self-initiated products with a strong focus on user experience.

We have been building a new SaaS product called Picflow together, which is meanwhile a very sophisticated application with very complex architecture.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We posted a job online, and after shortlisting, we started the interviews. The assessment took multiple rounds which involved a deep dive into requirements, price estimations and planning the road map together. Very early on it was quite clear that Seedium popped out with detailed questions, estimations and in general, being super nice people. The chemistry was there.

Because the scope of work was huge, we tailored multiple packages together. Each package required an analysis, collaboration and implementation. Overall Seedium delivered conceptual work, backend code (Node.js), AWS Architecture and integrations to multiple tools like Stripe, Auth0 and Marketing Automation Software.

There were multiple people involved for different purposes. Firstly, a manager who was present for business-related topics like estimations, planning and billing. Secondly, a senior backend developer who worked full time and with whom we had daily standups.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We now have a running SaaS application with clean and performant backend code and all integrations to our authentication service, billing system, marketing automation and CRM works perfectly. We are very happy with the outcome and can't wait to extend it!

Project management was very flexible. While building a new product that was very helpful so we could update the scope and priorities on the fly to match the project's needs. We used mainly Slack, GitLab, Asana, Miro and maybe a few other tools to collaborate.

They were very professional, forward-thinking, and pleasant to work with. We had the feeling that they were part of the team and with skin-in-the-game. That stood out from other experiences I had with some partners.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had Retrospectives after every package and the manager frequently asked about what to improve/change. Things we optimized during the project were minor things like planning and how to define requirements together. Towards the end of the project, everything was running smoothly like a swiss watch.

The developer we got assigned was super professional, attentive and responsive. He even gave some great suggestions on how we can improve the user experience even more. Overall, we're super happy with the service we got, and we'd like to hire SEEDIUM again in the future.

The project consisted of providing the front-end development for invoicing and client management functionality. Invoicing consisted of enabling our users to create, edit and manage their own invoices for their business. As well as being able to customise the invoice, preview the invoice and download a PDF of the invoice to send to clients.

Client management consisted of providing users with the ability to add client details into the software and assign those details to an invoice. The software is a web application using .NET and React. The project consisted of scoping the development based on designs and collaborating with our back end develop to develop production ready software.
