My project is the transition of outsourced managed IT services from a prior vendor to SecureTech.  The initial step in the project was taking an inventory of software, hardware, services, and employees.  Second, SecureTech took over the management of licenses and user agreements, established baseline security controls, and onboarded all employees to their services.  Third, SecureTech is responsible for ongoing network security, troubleshooting, emergency coverage and issue resolution, employee training, and software/hardware upgrades.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The transition from the prior vendor to SecureTech is complete.  All employees have gone through the onboarding process, which included a virtual meeting with SecureTech.  Each of those meetings was scaled based on the level of IT usage the respective employee has on a day to day basis.  We are now in a "maintain" mode in terms of monthly services that is supplemented by minor projects.  In the near term, we will start to work on best practices and any hardware/software updates/upgrades that need to be made.

Project management was well documented, timelines were met, and they provided regular email and phone call updates to me.  I also have the SecureTech team members' cell phone numbers and they have been very responsive to my calls.

Professionalism of all the staff and they met deadlines in the transition.  I put them in a tough spot because we went from the first meeting to turning our IT operations over to SecureTech in a period of one day.

Five months into my relationship with SecureTech and I do not have any improvement areas.

I’m the CFO of JCB Contractors, a general construction company.

What challenge were you trying to address with SecureTech?

We needed an IT partner to help us set up and scale our business since we're a startup company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SecureTech provides IT services for our company. When we launched, we needed an IT partner immediately, so we contacted SecureTech. They got us up and running in two weeks. Initially, they helped us set up our network and operate remotely. Then, once we secured an office, they came in and set up all the necessary hardware. 

As we’ve added employees and applications to the company, SecureTech has continued to help us. They’ve done both hardware and software installations, depending on the subject matter. They’ve also helped us set up Microsoft Teams and a voice call license. SecureTech provides on-site and remote services; our offices are about 20 minutes away.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 7–8 people from SecureTech throughout the last year and a half. On the procurement side, we work primarily with two people. We also work with 4–5 people on launching applications and requesting licenses. Additionally, we’ve worked with several people through their ticketing system.

How did you come to work with SecureTech?

We had previous experience with SecureTech and initially contacted them through a referral. We knew they were a good group of people with a great system.

We’ve invested over $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with SecureTech in September 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SecureTech has been able to get us up and running quickly. They’ve been able to scale with us as we’ve grown. We’ve never had an issue with them. They’ve been able to turn around anything we’ve requested.

How did SecureTech perform from a project management standpoint?

SecureTech has accommodated us whether we need on-site or remote work. We use Procore to manage our projects and have redundancies built into Microsoft SharePoint. We communicate via phone calls, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. We also use Microsoft 365 email.

SecureTech's ticket response time is excellent, and they consistently exceed expectations. The way they prioritize requests is excellent, and tickets are routed to the right person every time.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

The network engineer has really helped with the infrastructure side and with our Microsoft SharePoint. We have many remote sites, and they help us connect everything back to our office. Denton has been instrumental in our processes and protocols. Lastly, Luis has helped us get the right hardware based on our requirements.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed with SecureTech’s efficiency and expertise. They’ve been able to take us as a small company and treat us the same way as a larger company. They haven’t lost any of their expertise or efficiency. SecureTech is very quick to respond to and resolve issues, which is why we partnered with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’ve been great. They’ve proactively recommended things for us. I have complete confidence that we'll be able to grow together as we expand to other cities in Texas.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t operate on an island. When responding to tickets, the team needs to ensure that they're updating the policy or updating another person who had previously addressed the issue. The key to having consistency is ensuring the teammates pass on notes; that's just the nature of being remote sometimes.

My husband and I own an optometry clinic. We’ve been in business since August 2005.

What challenge were you trying to address with SecureTech?

We were operating a third location. We wanted to have all of our locations networked to transfer calls between offices and have more continuity for our patients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SecureTech was able to figure out a networking solution for us, ultimately creating a more secure network environment for our business.

The first project was getting our offices connected by creating the servers and platforms for us to be able to communicate within the network. Then, the project moved into a maintenance project. They make sure our computers are updated and virus-free, complete security checks, and have network redundancy built in for us. Their team makes sure our employees have access to what they need in order to be productive every day.

What is the team composition?

Depending on the project, it’s usually between 2–9 people doing various aspects.

How did you come to work with SecureTech?

Brandon (President & Owner) is from my hometown. We also both graduated from the same institution. We were both honored as fast-growing companies led by people from our school community.

At the conference, we ended up meeting each other and talking about our businesses. The more we talked, the more he knew that he could help me with my goals for expansion.

I would say over half a million dollars.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2010. It’s been continuous support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since we’ve started working with them, we’ve expanded other locations and opened up another. SecureTech handles all of the web support and services for those as well.

We’re able to continuously work without issue. If issues do occur, SecureTech resolves them quickly. As long as those are kept up with and I have happy team members, then I’m happy.

How did SecureTech perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a very specific scope for each project. We gather all of the data to see what we need to accomplish, and from there, we determine what we’re going to do. They write out the whole scope of work. Everything is very detailed and clear.

The team also checks in every week to give us status updates.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is very customer-centric and service-centric. Over the past ten years, I’ve seen an evolution of their company with our company. What’s missing from other providers is that no one is able to speak in plain English without all of the data. I’ve spoken to a lot of people in the past that were condescending.

Brandon trains his personnel to understand what the client wants and truly listen to what the problem is before determining what to do next.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Over the years, we’ve both had our growing pains. They realize that the core of their business is to keep their clients happy and satisfied.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Lay it all out. I’m still guilty of holding my plans close to my heart. In order to be successful with SecureTech, you have to throw it all out there. They ask a lot of questions about what you want to do with your business. You might think about what the questions have to do with IT, but all of the pieces that they’re looking at, they’re on top of it.

What challenge were you trying to address with SecureTech?

We brought them on to help us with a big project when we segregated from our developer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our company and our developer are owned by the same investor, but we’re two different legal entities. Our server was set up in their office. In an effort for us to better manage the construction side of the business, we needed to segregate completely.

A big part of that was onboarding our own server and segregating our system from the development system from the other company, this also included physically moving the hardware. This was no easy task because we did not shut down during the entire process. There were a lot of moving pieces and absolutely no interruption to our business.

What is the team composition?

We worked with their entire team. We coordinated most of the work with Brandon (President & Owner) but his whole team was involved.

How did you come to work with SecureTech?

We chose them because of their reputation. We have a good history with them, and they have a great reputation.

Our engagement was from March–December 2020.

They provided a schedule of when things would occur. It included a critical path of what would occur and who was to work on what. Their team kept us informed throughout the entire process. Additionally, they finished on time and within budget.

How did SecureTech perform from a project management standpoint?

We had regular meetings with them and compared the model to the actual performance as the work was done. We kept on track throughout the engagement to make sure everything stayed on schedule and within budget. They utilized a project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism and communication with us. Their team is very knowledgeable about the services they provide. They’re highly experienced at what they do. I’d recommend them wholeheartedly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d use them again.

Take their experience and reputation into consideration. SecureTech is highly experienced and they have an exceptional team with diverse knowledge. They have all the resources available for someone who doesn’t have their own IT department.

I’m the vice president of information systems for McMillin Texas Homes, a homebuilding company in San Antonio, Texas. We build roughly 80 to 100 houses a year, ranging from $400,000–$500,000.

We were moving from an old domain to a newer one that supported and reflected our business better. We also required a server migration.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SecureTech created a new domain for our company, as well as new servers in Windows. The team migrated all data, applications, and other materials from our old platform to the new one. 

They worked fully remotely, though they had installed our original infrastructure and had detailed knowledge of the technology in place already.

We mostly worked with four people.

We’ve been partnering with SecureTech for almost 20 years, and we have a history of successful projects together.

This project took place between September-December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

SecureTech was extremely flexible throughout the project even though it was a major undertaking. Most people working in the office don’t even realize their work took place — it was that seamless.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. If there were ever any delays in the project, it was on our side.

SecureTech is a great team to work with. I recommend partnering with them if you have the opportunity.

What challenge were you trying to address with SecureTech?

We needed help with project planning and design services for network infrastructure, access control, and security.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SecureTech planned our network infrastructure and selected and installed networking equipment. The team also coordinated with our ISP and deployed our access control and camera provisioning system. SecureTech handled equipment procurement and software installation. We had a separate cabling vendor, and SecureTech played a pivotal role in coordinating with and helping manage the cabling vendor to turn over a well-functioning system.

Someone referred SecureTech to us. We chose them over other options because their company values aligned with ours, and they had great attention to detail.

We worked together from March 2023 to July 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SecureTech delivered a functional and reliable network and access control camera system at our property. We haven't had a network outage that has negatively impacted our building occupants or an access control system outage. I attribute these successes to SecureTech's quality work.

Moreover, we established a relationship with SecureTech, a trusted IT management vendor, which supported our operations for 23 months.

How did SecureTech perform from a project management standpoint?

SecureTech's project management always fully addressed every item or issue that arose. More often than not, the team completed items and deliverables on time or early. Occasionally, deliverables weren't provided in the time quoted, but SecureTech eventually addressed all outstanding items in a satisfactory manner.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail was impressive. This quality deeply resonated with my values.

I’m a manager of Graham Land and Cattle Co., an agriculture company. We operate a large feedyard and backgrounding yard in Gonzales County, Texas, providing cattle feeding and care services with a strong focus on customer service.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire SecureTech to accomplish for your feedyard and backgrounding operations?

We needed help updating our office server.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SecureTech researched all aspects of the updated server we needed. The team reached out to all individuals who had our software and updated the server. Then, SecureTech came out and installed the server, working during the night to ensure everything was working properly. The team also migrated the existing data, printer shares, and file shares.

How did you come to work with SecureTech?

We found SecureTech through an online search. We chose them over other options because they offered good value for the cost.

We worked with SecureTech in October 2025.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SecureTech was successful in accomplishing the project within a short amount of time. After the update, our server was running at its best. Our programs weren’t slow or lagging as they were before the update. I noticed a 100% improvement.

SecureTech’s project management was quick, and their delivery time was exceptional. We communicated via email and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by the overall knowledge and friendliness of SecureTech’s employees. Tyler (IT Support Technician) was extremely helpful during the transition. He was available after normal business hours.
