It was founded in 1976 and has since become a leading player in the country's dairy industry. The scope of work for the Vinamilk D2C website project undertaken by Secomm was multifaceted, encompassing various phases of development, optimization, and deployment. The primary objective was to create a seamless and feature-rich online platform on the Shopify Plus platform that would enhance Vinamilk's direct-to-consumer experience. Key deliverables comprised a fully developed and visually appealing website, seamless user interfaces, integrated features for enhanced user engagement, and thorough testing to ensure a bug-free performance. 

Additionally, the project entailed the provision of comprehensive training materials to empower Vinamilk's team to manage and maintain the website post-launch. The overarching goal was to create an effective and efficient online platform that not only met Vinamilk's immediate needs but also provided a solid foundation for future digital endeavors.

While my experience with Secomm was overall positive, there are a few areas where they could have been improvements:

1. Options for Flexibility - Offering a range of solutions or alternatives when addressing evolving requirements could have provided more flexibility and allowed us to make informed decisions. 
2. Detailed Scope Documentation - Providing a more comprehensive and detailed scope document at the project's outset could help manage expectations and avoid misunderstandings as the project evolves.

Jasnor distributes toys and gifts within the Australia and New Zealand retail markets and has been doing some for over 30 years. I take care of all the digital and IT requirements for the business.

For what projects/services did your company hire Secomm, and what were your goals?

Back a few years before engaging with Secomm - our website was a decade old and it looked it! We decided it was time to partner with a company to design and develop a new site for us! Unfortunately, we decided on a company whom talk a big game - but could not deliver a final product. It was 3 years out of my life I will never get back.

After 3 years of a painful incomplete project - I reached out to Ken from Secomm and the rest is history! Secomm were hired to provide specialized Magento experience such that they could take a half built website and complete it to our specifications within an agreeable time frame.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

During previous engagements with Ken - I was impressed by his teams work and so I knew that he was a great option for me to move the web project onto.

The scope was to take the half built Magento 2 website that we had in development from another company and to finish it based on the specifications we had. Regarding technologies - there was Magento - but then we wanted so integrations to occur with the software we use within the office - SAP B1. So - the Secomm team needed to work with the SAP team to ensure that all integrations were working and remained working after go-live.

The first deliverable after starting working with Secomm was to ensure we go the website live. Next - we had a bunch of development tasks which needed to be actioned and now we are up to the 3rd iteration of development tasks.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

During the ongoing project with Secomm in the efforts to get our website live - I was in contact with 4 staff members within Secomm. Project Manager, Tech Lead. QC Lead and Managing Director.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching - we received numerous testimonials from long-standing customers indicating how user friendly the new website was.

The communication tools that the Secomm team use incorporate Zoho Projects as well as Skype. I would message the Secomm team at least once per day to keep things moving with regards to ongoing development tasks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The professionalism of the company is second to none! They are extremely responsive, and their communication is concise and informative.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No - I'm just so happy with the Secomm team!

I'm the founder and owner of an e-commerce retailer that focuses on providing niche payment plan options for our customers

For what projects/services did your company hire Secomm, and what were your goals?

We had been operating e-commerce businesses in Australia and New Zealand for around 8 years. We identified an opportunity to launch our business model in the USA, but we identified that we needed a new stand alone e-commerce web-site in the US for this opportunity, and that is what we hired Secomm for.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The key factor to selecting Secomm was that they had already built and modified our existing Australian and New Zealand Magento e-commerce web-sites, and done a magnificent job of that. We did get quotes from a few other vendors for this project, but those quotes weren't as competitive as Secomms quote.

We had an initial meeting with Secomm to discuss where we saw the opportunity for a USA e-commerce retailer that focuses on providing niche payment plan options for it's customers, and agreed upon the best way to get there that was within our budget.

Magento was identified as the right solution. A large part of the project was integrating Magento with multiple 3rd party integrations. All stakeholders were provided a project timeline by Secomm, which was updated daily. Secomm set up a staging site for the UAT process, and Secomm also managed all the hosting (AWS) and infrastructure set up.

We had a senior project manager and two developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were hoping to launch the USA web-site by June, but Secomm actually delivered the project early and we were able to launch in late April. There were no major issues that needed to be corrected with the web-site post deployment, and we achieved sales levels withing the first 3 months which were well above our forecasts.

As well as the shared excel project timeline document that we were following, Zoho was also used for communication between the parties on this project. We also had a Skype chat group that we used for this project. Any concerns that we raised throughout the journey were addressed in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the best thing about working with Secomm is how quickly that can respond to a change you would like to implement or to fix an error that you identify. Even when it came to us changing things on this project that weren't in the original scope, Secomm would talk that change through with us to identify the bedst way of handling it, and then implement that change in a timely manner.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

My company is a large education company with 3 main courses in finance, business, and coaching.

What challenge were you trying to address?

At first, we just have online finance courses for beginner and we want to expand our classes in 2 other fields: business and coaching. However, our current system couldn't handle huge traffic at the same time.

And we also want to add more features to help our students in e-learning.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement and team dynamic?

At first we had a small argument with SECOMM due to the complexity of the project. However, the IT leader has try to fix the bug by himself and then continue with the Phrase 2 of the system to meet my deadline.

What's the status of this engagement?

In general, I appreciate the responsibility of the project team leader for trying to complete the project even though we had additional requirements.

It would be great if the cost of the project is more affordable for my company.

Clarify the scope of work with each others from the beginning so that when other requirements arise, 2 company members can quickly settle the issue.

Da Vinci Academy's solution-oriented website development partner is Secomm. We asked them to assist us in the creation of add-ons and features for our new e-learning system project. We weren't sure if we had set a realistic target for them, so we were extremely happy with their performance.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Secomm met the objectives stated while developing an e-learning system for Da Vinci Academy, such as creating a logical menu of classes and allowing up to 1000 users to participate in each class at the same time.

Despite the fact that Da Vinci set a tight deadline of around three months to finish the project, SECOMM fulfilled our deadlines and requirements on time.

When Secomm's team pointed out all of the necessary technologies to create this project, we were suprise how hard to examine and analyze them.

We hope they can give a cheaper solution for this project since I believe the cost might be lower if the deadline was not so rush.
