Additionally, we’ve received overwhelmingly positive qualitative feedback from hunters and local taxidermists who have used the app.

Scopic has delivered on time, but they’ve cut quite a bit of the scope from the initial launch to meet the deadline, so many of the key features have come after the initial launch. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

Scopic has the full breadth of specialists that you commonly have at your disposal in a tech company, from product marketing to UX research, design, project management, QA, engineering, and DevOps. They’re a one-stop shop that enables you to build out a full tech solution without requiring any technical experts on the client side.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would prefer more real-time communication. Instead of a weekly meeting and emails, I’d prefer to interact in real-time over messaging (Slack) to cut down on cycle times. Additionally, it would be great to have more shared artifacts and content that both sides could easily collaborate on, like wiki pages, Jira boards, and editable Google Docs. Scopic tends to keep their documentation locked down on their side and only shares PDF outputs with the client.

My project manager, Ian was very helpful in organizing and maintaining the project. He was very skilled, smart, and prepared to help me. Petra helped me with the SEO and marketing side of the business. They had great ideas and were educated on how to gain visibility.
