They delivered on time and within budget. We communicated using various platforms, including LionShare, email, phone calls, text messages, and Google Meet.

Andrew was phenomenal at quarterbacking the entire process. He ensured that appointments were always met and kept and did a great job of scheduling and being the in-between person for the videographers, social media people, and the high-ups in my company and theirs. Overall, he brought everything together and was a great point of contact.

Savage Global Marketing delivered everything we wanted.

Everyone can get better at social media. They were great in that regard, but there’s always room for improvement. They should continue growing and evolving with social media.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Savage Global Marketing has been helping us with various digital marketing efforts. They’ve redesigned our website, changed the layout, and focused on images and videos. They’ve also been helping us with Google Ads and paid ads in general.

Initially, they had access to the backend of our website. The main thing they helped us with was working with our style. They helped us create a style brand kit with a look and theme for our website. Once we had the look we were going for, they revamped the website page by page.

Savage Global Marketing has used WordPress and Figma to help us visualize what the site would look like before they made it. Regarding video production, they’ve edited videos I’ve filmed and added voiceovers and cue cards. They’ve also come on-site to film videos and photos.

We’ve worked with a few different people. We’ve been mainly in contact with Chris, and he has a team that specializes in paid ads. He also has a technical team that works on the website and an art team, including graphic designers and video editors.

I ran into Chris in a social setting and found out he had this company. Our company had been working with a different agency for a few years, and we weren't 100% happy with them. Over a couple of months, I got to know Chris and learned about his business and approach. I was impressed and thought it would be better to work with Savage Global Marketing, so we made the switch.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Something great about Savage Global Marketing that our previous marketing company didn’t do is that they use a software service called CallRail that’s integrated with the paid ads. We can keep track of the connection between a keyword and an ad that it triggered and follow that customer as they either do a form submission on our website or give us a call.

We currently have jobs in-house that we’re working on that were from someone who clicked on an ad. With CallRail, we can record the phone calls and listen to what we said during the initial contact with the customer.

How did Savage Global Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver on time and on budget. They communicate clearly, especially with their LionShare software. They use internal software called LionShare to keep track of all the different projects. All the key stakeholders have access to it and can chat and upload documents. We used email at the beginning of our relationship, but LionShare is great compared to email chains; it makes organizing the projects a lot easier.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Francisco has been helping us with Google Ads. I’ve found him very helpful in answering the large number of questions I’ve had about how the whole subject works.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish there was a way for them to help me be more informed. Learning all the different terminology and verbiage related to this industry has been a big learning curve since digital marketing isn't my main profession.

The only suggestion would be for there to be a way for their customers to log into Lionshare and see the number of hours used and remaining at any given time.

Initially, we had a few meetings with Savage Global Marketing to discuss our priorities and the project. From there, we spent four days shooting the scenes we needed for the production. The postproduction and editing took 2–3 weeks, and we communicated back and forth until they provided the final product to us. During the engagement, there were some interviews conducted. Our team handled the casting and helped them with scriptwriting.
At present, we’re still working with them on the project. They’ll be working on our marketing efforts in the future.

In terms of PPC, Savage Global Marketing’s team focuses on Facebook and Google ads, which include creating imaging and text for the campaigns. Regarding the SMM, they manage Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Whenever we want to start a campaign, we give them the flyer or events we want to feature, and they come back with a media calendar and an action plan.

What challenge were you trying to address with Savage Global Marketing?

We hired Savage to redo our website, which was nonexistent before they came on board. Our overall goal was to create a better web presence for the company to reach more customers and be in the public eye. We also planned to use the website for recruitment purposes. On top of that, we needed Savage to be on top of our social media platforms and start creating and posting content for us. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When Savage came on board, we told them our goals. Some of their film crew came out and took some footage of our office, employees, and engineers. We took them to our off-site hangar for them to grab some footage over there. They gathered as much as they could for our upcoming social media posts and website. 

For the website design, we had a vision for what we liked. We used a few other websites within our industry as a basis for the site’s formatting. Our team didn’t have any official brand guidelines then, but Savage helped us with that. From there, they worked on bringing our vision to life. In terms of technologies, we mainly used Figma. When we had to review some footage, we used Dropbox. They put the footage there, and we pulled what we liked from there and referenced it on Figma.

At present, they don’t lead any specific campaign for our market presence or social media channels. Rather, they offer their suggestions for things such as how often we should be posting. They’ve suggested doing one post per day, but we’ve ultimately agreed to do two posts per week. Moreover, they design our social media posts and give us graphics. We follow their brand guidelines to keep things consistent.

We work with 5–6 teammates from Savage. Around 2–3 of them are camera operators who help us gather footage. I work directly with Heather (Graphic & Social Media Manager). Javiera (Designer) also works with us.

Since we’ve been consistently posting on our platforms, we’ve gained new followers on our platform. LinkedIn has been a big channel for us. It’s great to see the engagement on our posts on social media, and we definitely want to thank Savage for that.

Their project management style has been great. Heather has been great. She’s been super responsive and helpful. To communicate, we use Google Meet.
