Saritasa has been our development partner since we launched our company 7 years ago. We came to Saritasa with a vision to create a platform for the youth sports market with integrated social media applications, Software as a Service and advertising network.

Our goals were to become a market leader by getting hundreds of clients to use our Software-as-a-Service and advertising network and millions of people to use our consumer software (apps and websites). Through Saritasa's partnership with us and excellent development we have achieved those goals.

As Saritasa is our ongoing development partner, we use the same process with each development initiative:

1. Create user stories that define the end-product, its features, and how they must work for end-users. (These are used as acceptance criteria)
2. Saritasa team estimates the cost and timeline for feature development and breaks development into sprints
3. We sign off on the estimates
4. Saritasa begins the project and sends us features to test after they have conducted initial QA
5. We produce reporting back on UX/UI changes needed, bugs, and other for iterative refinement until completion of the feature. This collaborative agile methodology lead by the excellent management team and development team at Saritasa has produced hundreds of feature releases and our success to date.

We have worked with many of teams of people at Saritasa in 7 years through a single point person (project manager). The project managers at Saritasa are truly excellent at what they do and truly care about their clients success. One of the key items that makes a relationship with Saritasa so powerful is the many developers they have with different skillsets.

This has allowed Saritasa to respond to our need with skilled developers for any project whether it be front end, back end, dev ops, mobile development or other projects. Teams working on projects tend to be 4-8 people lead by the Project Manger who works with our team and manages the 4-8 developers. At this point the number of individuals at Saritasa we have worked with have to be well over 20-30. Each of them is excellent at whatever their part of the project is.

Sports Thread's mobile application is one of the top 200 most used sports apps in the world (apple app store rankings) Sports Thread's ad network reaches over 2 million people per year Sports Thread's Software-as-a-Service has 100+ clients using its product including many of the largest companies in our market We have become a market leader in our industry. All of our software has been developed by Saritasa.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We have weekly meetings with our project manager to review sprint projects. The project manager handles the communication between our team and the development staff at Saritasa. Our project manager is always available for meetings and conversations in between our weekly standing meeting. Our team provides final QA and testing. All feedback is done through email and through ongoing spreadsheet tracking of bugs. Sartisa also uses JIRA for task tracking for billing purposes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Saritasa is unique, impressive, and an incredible partner in many ways, however 3 things stand out most to me:

1. Saritasa is honest. Software development is full of companies who will lie to you about what a project will take in terms of time and cost to get you sunk into working with them. Saritasa NEVER does this. Their estimates are always +/- 10% of both delivery time and cost.
2. Saritasa does excellent work. Our results with them becoming a leader in many categories in our market speak for themselves, Saritasa has delivered the technology to enable it all.
3. Most importantly, the people at Saritasa truly care about their clients. Our company is constantly impressed and thankful for how clear it is that everyone in the Saritasa organization from leadership, to project mangers, to marketing/design staff to engineers are clearly invested in our success and are willing to go above and beyond to get us there.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None. Saritasa is a fantastic partner. Anyone who chooses to work with them will find a trusted longterm development partner.

I’m the founder and president of Scripta LLC. Our objective is to provide a fully searchable, subscription-based, web-accessed database of unclaimed property rules, regulations, and laws for businesses.

What challenge were you trying to address with Saritasa?

We needed to create a user-friendly and organized way to search through the data I had put together, so we sought Saritasa’s help.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Saritasa helped us build our entire system. I first provided them with the Excel spreadsheets containing the data I had gathered, and they designed and developed a web-based UI so that users could access that information. Additionally, they built a backend administrative side for me to provide updates and keep the data current once the system was live.

Additionally, Saritasa helped me develop a website for marketing purposes, integrating legislative tracking abilities. They added that feature in a different section of the site with a different layout. However, it has the same purpose: to be a place where I can input information and users can access and interact with it. As for the technology stack, they used Python to develop the platform.

Users can access our platform by using their address and a password. Once in it, they can search for unclaimed property law information organized by property code and by jurisdiction.

Additionally, the legislative tracking function allows me to put in different bills and link them to the results of said searches. Thanks to this feature, if the law changes as a result of pending legislation, users can compare side by side the current and future states.

Although the main development project has already ended, Saritasa recently helped me add an enhancement that allows users to search for updates that have occurred between a certain date range. Additionally, they take care of ongoing maintenance.

What is the team composition?

The project manager was my main point of contact, and he worked with a team of developers. I also communicated directly with the lead developer from that team on one or two occasions.

How did you come to work with Saritasa?

I put together and launched an RFP to various companies, and I interviewed around six different firms. After meeting with each of them, I really liked the approach Saritasa took, which included having a single dedicated project manager and laying out everything upfront to develop the quotes from there. Their proposal was very appealing to me, so I hired them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2021, and the main project ended in March 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to our platform, it’s much easier for user companies to have their reporting obligation and see the law respective to their particular property. In every demo I’ve given, I’ve received very positive feedback about how well the platform works and how well its UX is structured.

How did Saritasa perform from a project management standpoint?

I was very happy with Saritasa’s project management; they did a great job. Additionally, they were mindful of my budget and presented me with various solutions to choose from.

I had a weekly Google Meet standing call with the project manager to review the work done in the past week. Additionally, we communicated via email and phone calls, and we shared Google Docs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Saritasa’s strength was how easy it was to work with them. Their communication was very smooth, and they demonstrated an outstanding ability to take my non-technical requests and create technical solutions to meet them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. This was my first experience working with a development company, and I was very happy with it.

Understand your project and lay out what you want before starting the project; it will help you go faster and make it easier to define the functionality.

I’m the co-founder of Versus Poker, a website that replicates the live poker experience as if people are playing in their houses with friends and family. My dad and I started it during the pandemic when we couldn’t play with our regular partners.

What challenge were you trying to address with Saritasa?

We didn’t have any experience in web development or the nitty gritty details of coding. We needed help to build our website from the ground up.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Saritasa developed our website from scratch. We initially met with them to go over the art and flow of the website. From there, we met with the engineering team to hash out bugs and specific tools. All in all, we told them what we wanted, and they brought it to life.

The main feature they built was the poker engine, which allows users to play Texas Hold’Em. At the table, Saritasa implemented an integrated video and audio chat, a statistics tracker, and the ability to customize settings. Users could tweak the different dollar amounts, time settings, and everything in a usual poker table. Additionally, they created the regular flows and menus of the website.

What is the team composition?

We worked with an account executive, the CEO, the CTO, a designer, an engineering team, and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Saritasa?

We were vetting a couple of companies. We were first introduced to an account executive; then, we met regularly with the CEO and the CTO. They walked us through how they typically went about projects and their general workflow. We clicked well with them, so we decided to move forward. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $100,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in June 2020 and launched the site in August 2022. We don’t have any development projects going on, but we still touch base with them to squash any details we’re dealing with.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everything works well. It took a lot of time of fixing, problem-solving, and work with the engineering team, but the navigation aspects, the video and audio chat, and the poker game were seamless. We’re actively trying to get feedback, so it’s still a work in progress. However, we have between 200–300 people signed up so far, so we couldn’t be happier with Saritasa’s work. They understood our vision and spent a lot of time working on it. 

How did Saritasa perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great all throughout the project. They were responsive and attentive; Saritasa was always quick to come up with ideas and suggestions we didn’t think of in the beginning, and their ideas made it to the final product. Moreover, everyone we worked with was fantastic, and they definitely cared about the project. When we started, we gave them the scope and vision; they proposed a budget and stuck to it even when we went overtime. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

We communicated through emails about the little things. We also touched base at least 3–4 times a week on Zoom and about 1–2 times a week with the project manager. Additionally, we used Jira to organize everything we were working on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In the beginning, we vetted many companies trying to find someone who could do this project for us. One of the things that originally stood out about Saritasa was the way they chronicled their code and kept it organized to make it easily transferable; it was attractive to us because if we ever decided to part ways with them, we could take it elsewhere.

They also had an office nearby, but overall, our conversations with the team were outstanding. We got along well, and they understood what we were trying to do pretty quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

At the time, the engineering team was out in Russia, so there was a bit of a language barrier. Also, poker isn’t an intuitive game, so they had to learn about it. We definitely had moments where we explained the rules and had to iron out some things. However, it was just a tiny blip; everything else went well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Stay active with the communication. They’re readily available, so if you need to ask a question, just pick up the phone and give them a call. Overall, they’re great to work with.

We wanted to develop a VR healthcare software system, for which we needed a VR developer. However, we didn’t have that skill set in-house, so we decided to look for a partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Saritasa has developed our VR software prototype from scratch. I already had a vision for the system, so I first provided them with documentation detailing basic specifications and requirements for the VR experience and its expected outcomes.

After that, Saritasa took the lead in the project and designed and developed all the visual elements, the VR character, and the virtual rooms that the experience encapsulated. As for the technology stack, they’ve built this experience in Unity. Now, we’re in the prototype phase, so I expect to continue working with them to develop the full product.

I work with Aaron (VP of Immersive Technology), who oversees the development process overall, and Chris (Senior Project Manager), who oversees the development team.

I started working with Saritasa in May 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. Currently, Saritasa is completing a second phase of the project for me, which should be finished in the next couple of weeks. Moving forward, I plan to continue working with them for maintenance and further development.

I’m very happy with the work done by Saritasa so far. Their work is of very high quality, and we’ve gotten a positive response from others who have seen the VR experience.

How did Saritasa perform from a project management standpoint?

Compared to other VR developers, Saritasa works quickly and for a reasonable price. They’re very upfront in letting me know of ways to save money and informing me when certain solutions cost more, and they’ve stuck very closely to the budget. Additionally, they’ve met all their deadlines.

We’ve shared documents through Google Docs, but we don’t use any particular project management software. As for communication, I really like how responsive Saritasa has been. We have weekly meetings, which are very consistent, and they’re also very responsive to my emails in between meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Saritasa responsiveness is better than other service providers I’ve worked with in the past. Moreover, their work has been phenomenal overall. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Saritasa is within driving distance from us, but we’ve never met in person. Initially, I told them about it and followed up on that later, but it has never happened. Now, I know that meeting in person doesn’t really matter as much to establish a great collaboration. Still, it would have been great if we could have done so in the beginning so that we could feel more comfortable about working with them. For me, it is always better to make the first contact in person to establish a connection.

I’m the CEO of Top Tier K9, a dog training center. We have a school that trains dog trainers from all over the world, and we also train pets, police canines, military-working dogs, service dogs for people with disabilities, and the world’s first COVID-19 detection dogs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Saritasa?

We wanted to develop the UI for a VR experience whereby an end user could learn to train a dog through a VR headset.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I hired Saritasa to develop the VR program I needed and ensure that my vision could be deployed on a VR headset through the Metaverse. We’ve worked together to develop the entire product from scratch, which included creating VR dogs that could interact with a human, creating a catharsis for the human.

Saritasa has also implemented Top Tier K9’s command sequence and training methodology into the VR dogs. Thanks to this functionality, when a user performs a function with the hand controllers, the virtual dog will react the same way a dog would react in the real world. Therefore, the better the user gets at training, the better the dog behaves for the user.

Additionally, we’ve created a reward system we called bitecoins — alluding to bitcoins. The user gets a bitecoin every time they improve the dog’s behavior. Once users collect 15 bitecoins, they can redeem them for training sessions, dog boarding, and grooming for their real dogs.

We recently launched the product, and we’re waiting for Oculus to approve it so that it can be downloaded worldwide. Moving forward, Saritasa will be in charge of maintenance, consulting, and troubleshooting. Additionally, they interface with Meta and Oculus on our behalf to ensure that our product gets launched around the world.

Saritasa has been helping us with mobile app development; I gave their team a brief on our requirements on the platform so they could understand our needs, and they started producing it. We gave them a general framework so they could start from there, and they provided us with tweaks and recommendations based on their expertise.

The app is written for iOS and Android using Xcode, Flutter, Java, Kotlin, and Swift — we’re working on native languages so we can get rich features on the platform.

I’m very happy with their project management; they deliver everything promptly, and their team is very open with our timelines — I haven’t had any delays. Regarding tools and communication, we use FaceTime, email, and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When they stepped into the project, they took us from having no hope to feeling very confident about the platform in under two weeks because of the time they spent trying to understand our needs and their reasonable pricing. Overall, their ability to expedite the project has been great.

I’m the director of operations of a product handling company. We offer services mainly to the industrial space.

What challenge were you trying to address with Saritasa?

We needed help creating a VR training module. We were trying to reduce the training time of our workers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Saritasa helped us develop an AR/VR product for our training processes from scratch. The system replicated a loading rack, general purpose railcar, and industrial environment that gave users hands-on experience before going into the field.

To jumpstart the process, we created a checklist of a sequence of steps on how we wanted the workflow to go, which helped them get a big picture of what they would do. After that, we had initial discussions to share with them what we were trying to do and gave them some examples of our requirements. Consequently, we had a series of weekly meetings to check in and see their progress — they took all of our feedback to apply it to the product.

We worked with two members of their team, including Aaron (VP of Immersive Technology) and Danny (Project Manager).

How did you come to work with Saritasa?

A coworker found them; we chose them because they seemed very eager with the project, and their previous work related to training was impressive. In addition, their costs seem fair to us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–June 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Saritasa’s work, we could streamline our training processes — it enabled us to have a much higher volume of training sessions in an eight-hour day relative to on-site training, which is incredibly valuable to us and our industry.

The product is a real-life system that provides an interactive and detailed experience of rail cars and the general industrial space, which they successfully created thanks to their ability to quickly understand our industry and what we wanted to accomplish.

How did Saritasa perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management has a hands-on and involved process on Saritasa’s side. We constantly communicated via email, phone calls, and Microsoft Teams to sync up and provide feedback on their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were excited to get on board with our project because it was something they hadn’t done before — they were the perfect partner for us. Their ability to creatively envision what we were trying to communicate and create a finished product that completely captured the essence of our vision was particularly impressive!

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — everything was great, and I wouldn’t change anything about their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I encourage potential customers to trust the folks at Saritasa with whatever project they need completed.  The Saritasa team will not stop until their customer is completely satisfied with the outcome and scope of the project. They really have been a top tier provider to us and we couldn't be happier with their work!

I'm the director of Cloud Services and mobile app development at Winegard Company. We make satellite TV products.

We decided to engage a third-party vendor to provide us with mobile app development and UI/UX design services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired Saritasa to help us with our UI/UX design initiatives. We’ve since added a couple of mobile app developers from Saritasa to our team to help us with our development projects.

They develop on iOS, Android, and the web, and they use Kotlin, Swift, and React JS for app development and InVision for UI/UX design.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with a graphic designer, a technical manager, a project manager, an iOS developer, an Android developer, and a React developer from Saritasa.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The primary success metric is the time to market  — it's only taken us 10-11 months from proof of concept to market.

How did Saritasa perform from a project management standpoint?

Saritasa has performed well in terms of project management. We work in sprints, and they’re great at not biting off more than they can chew in one sprint, not going over budget, and establishing manageable expectations.

Aside from that, Saritasa follows all the modern DevOps practices. Generally, before we launch a product, we test it through three or four different stages. The Saritasa team follows best practices with Crashlytics and logging and is very thorough about checking and responding to events. Because of this, we have very limited exposure to bugs and crashes. 

We use Jira for task management, and we communicate through Zoom and Slack. They’re very communicative — we’re in constant contact with their developers and have weekly Zoom calls with the project management team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Saritasa’s flexibility. We have our own engineering practices within our company, and they are really flexible about working with our mentality and adapting to and following our established processes.

We also appreciate how thorough and technically savvy they are.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything negative or constructive to say about Saritasa. We’ve worked really well together and have a very transparent relationship.

The more transparent and open you are with them, the easier and more efficient the whole process is going to be.

I’ve been a member of the Childhelp Orange County Chapter since 1979, a volunteer fundraising arm of Childhelp serving abused children nationally. We operate a hotline number and various residential and healthcare facilities for children who need treatment. Additionally, we sponsor a program for adoptive parents. 

Our company also hosts an annual tournament called the Childhelp Rich Saul Memorial Golf Classic. For over 10 years, I’ve been the tournament’s co-chair and coordinator.

What challenge were you trying to address with Saritasa?

We decided that we needed a website to facilitate sending information to potential sponsors and donors, but no one from our team knew how to build one.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Saritasa developed a website for us. It was a very collaborative process, during which we iterated on the designs and general layout of the site. Since then, they’ve been maintaining it on an ongoing basis. Over the years, they’ve implemented various functionalities like a form for golfers to fill in their information and a payment processing system so that donors can make secure payments online.

We have a very fluid website that needs a lot of updates, so Saritasa is also in charge of updating our donors, sponsors, and overall information as needed. For every change we need to make, we send the information to our contact point from Saritasa, and they implement the changes within 2–3 days. Before making the changes public, they send me a sample, I approve it, and they then make the changes. When they finish, they let me know.

What is the team composition?

We only work directly with one point of contact from Saritasa. Still, I’ve worked with various staff members as they’ve come and gone throughout the years. Additionally, we’ve talked with Nik (President, Founder & CEO).

How did you come to work with Saritasa?

One of our members recommended Nik because his company had helped them develop a website for an elementary school, so I contacted him. This person told me that they might give us a charitable discount, but they ultimately were willing to do the project free of charge.

How much have you invested with them?

Saritasa has provided us with their services free of charge since we started working together, so we’re very happy to promote them and acknowledge them through our golf program.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around 200-, and our engagement is ongoing; we’ve been working together for 15 years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Saritasa has created a wonderful website that perfectly captures what we want. They’ve been wonderfully willing to maintain and update it every year, and they do that impeccably.

About 15 years ago, when we launched the website, people were afraid of using it. It took us around a year to get everyone using it, explaining to them how easy it was to use it, make reservations, and fill out their golfer information. Now, everyone uses our site happily because they find it very useful.

How did Saritasa perform from a project management standpoint?

Saritasa’s feedback and follow-up are incredible because I always know how and when tasks will be completed; I’m completely pleased with their responsiveness to my needs. Every time a team member from Saritasa leaves the project, we tend to get worried about training a new resource. However, every new person who has joined has been able to pick up things where the last person left off.

Furthermore, they always respond to requests within 12 hours, and they complete tasks within 24–48 hours. We communicate via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Saritasa’s accuracy, efficiency, and follow-up are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Saritasa could improve on; we’re completely satisfied with their work.
