BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a technology consulting and services company, and I manage our marketing team.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Salt Technologies?

We hired them to help us redesign our website. Our goal was to enhance our brand awareness and generate more leads.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

After defining the scope and direction of our project, their team presented us with some compelling concepts for the design of our existing website. They then put together a project plan, covering the front and backend changes that needed to be implemented. We worked together on the whole layout and design of our site, as well as re-working the content.

We’ve already relaunched the new website in May 2020, and they are currently providing maintenance efforts and continue to make enhancements or any additional changes as needed.

What is the team composition?

We work directly with the CEO & founder of their company, including a project manager. We also work with different developers and designers throughout the project.

How did you come to work with Salt Technologies?

We did an extensive online search, and they were the vendor that matched a lot of our criteria as a partner for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on this project in February 2020, and our engagement is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

How did Salt Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been a very good partner in this regard. We communicate directly with their project manager regularly and hold weekly meetings via Microsoft Teams. We also interact through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re most impressed with their ability to produce work that aligns with our vision. They also come up with different ideas to improve what we’re currently doing, which has stood out to us as well.

Are there any areas they could improve on?

We’ve started working with them in other areas, such as graphic design, but the process has been a little bumpy. That being said, they should ramp up their team to ensure a smoother process.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of demand generation for a software development company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Salt Technologies?

We needed someone to provide us with web development services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Salt Technologies is helping us build and optimize a new website based on WordPress from the ground up. Our current website is quite broken, and Salt has been doing a lot of work to get it stable and functional, including implementing a cleaner architecture and integrating new features.

Right now, they’re guiding us through the wireframe and creative process, and the end result for the product would be to help build awareness and improve our efforts in demand generation.

Another big thing for us is a more streamlined HubSpot build, so we don’t want a lot of widgets and aftermarket add-ons — we’d rather keep it seamless to speed up our process.

What is the team composition?

We work with the CEO, project manager, a couple of developers, and a graphic designer.

How did you come to work with Salt Technologies?

I reviewed vendors that I’ve worked with in the past and decided to go with Salt Technologies for this project, because of their intimate knowledge of our company.

Our ongoing partnership started in January 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Working with them has been great as they’ve been on point with our timelines, as well as turnaround times. Our wireframes should be done by the middle of this month, but they’re generally ahead on all of their deliverables.

How did Salt Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

So far, they’re consistently staying on budget and schedule, so they perform well from a project management standpoint.

I believe they use JIRA to manage the entire process, and we typically communicate through Google Meet and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their attention to detail and overall willingness to work with us, as we’re quite a crazy company with a lot of bizarre requests and needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think it would be better for our partnership to establish a project management tool in place, so everyone can have visibility of the process.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I advise you to be open with your expectations and what you’re looking to achieve because they will always find a way to make it happen.
