There were a few times where I needed to reach out to see what the status was for a candidate, but they were pretty responsive when I did so and communicated the progress made and where things were at.

I described the needs of the position that we were looking for and Sagan searched for qualified candidates that could meet our needs.  They then interviewed to pre-qualify and passed along the possible matches for us to continue the interviewing process.

The time to hire was faster then we have ever been able to accomplish internally for a leadership team member.

The quality of hire, atleast initially, appears to be as good or better then we have had the ability to hire locally.

They were able to find someone that meets the qualities and experince that we gave them.

Sagan provided valuable guidance throughout the process on the type of candidate, qualities, areas to look, etc.  Their expertise clearly showed throughout.

The quality of Sagan management training content is excellent.  We are just diving into this inforamtion, but it already has shown to be top quality.

Extremely Disappointing Experience with SaganPassport – Poor Service and Unprofessional Behavior

We had high hopes when we signed up with SaganPassport, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish. Despite providing clear hiring criteria—including specific industry experience, geographic preferences, and budget requirements—none of these were met. We received candidates with little to no relevant experience, and our request for candidates based in Europe was completely ignored. To make matters worse, candidates even dropped out of interviews unexpectedly, which was incredibly unprofessional.

Having worked with recruiters globally, we've never had such issues. SaganPassport's process felt disorganized and their ability to meet our needs was severely lacking.

The communication from Jon, the company’s co-founder, was particularly disappointing. Rather than addressing our concerns or working to find a solution, he was dismissive and came across as rude and arrogant. His approach left us feeling that SaganPassport wasn’t interested in resolving the issues they created.

Overall, the experience was deeply frustrating, and the service provided didn’t come close to what was promised. We cannot recommend SaganPassport to anyone looking for a professional, reliable recruitment partner. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

As a venture backed company, we need strong bookkeepers to work with our growing client base fast. As such, we need a continous pipeline to talent in place in order to hire more people as our customer demand grows 

Sagan is our one stop shop for this talent, and we have been able to rely on them to source quality bookkeepers.

• Sagan's passport program led to many strong accountants and bookkeepers being sourced from Latin America and Asia
• Their account management team worked closely with me to build out job descriptions, compensation ranges, etc. so that we could find the right candiates to meet my needs
• The process saved a lot of time as their custom platform allowed me to review candidates and schedule interviews, as well as put in additional hiring requests
• Overall it saved me 100+ hours if I were to have tried to do this on my own

They let me know up front how long it would take to source a pool of candidates for the first hire, and they kept me updated every step of the way until it was time for me to start interviewing the candidates I liked. The timeline was ahdered to 100% of the time, and I was able to hire bookkeepers within my desired time frame so that our customers always felt supported.

As a venture backed software company that serves small business owners, I was impressed how Sagan Passport understood my needs as a founder/CEO that raised venture capital, but also that they knew the needs of my customers who were small mom & pop business owners. 

Between their technology, account management, and of course the talent they sourced at the prices I askeed for, Sagan quite literally changed the economic profile of our business (all at a fraction of the time invested if I were to have done it myself)

Honestly, nothing comes to mind at the moment. Their service was top notch, the candidates were fantstic, and they even have a community with ongoing resources being added and webinars as well, so the recurring value from the service is there too.

Sagan took time to understand the type of worker that I was looking for and my business needs. They then went to work on developing a comprehensive profile and starting the sourcing process. They utilized a platform to provide me with information on my prospective talent (basically an ATS) and also to provide some best practices around hiring and onboarding. They kept in constant communication. 
Ultimately they presented to me a slate of candidates on more than one occasion to calibrate. In each case they presented me with the profiles as well as a link to the initial screening interview. This helped to move the process along quickly without a ton of back and forth. I ended up aligning with a well qualified candidate who fit my budget requirements and starting window.

I have successfully hired my first global talent with Sagan. This is a big breakthrough for me since I have previously always just hired globally using Fiverr, Upwork and other platforms for simple project based work. This company presented a good business model that was well-aligned with my needs. The people I hire are more qualified than a BPO, and they will work with me directly. The people involved in running the company are really well qualified, articulate and they produce great content. They were really passionate about the global talent space and it shows. They also seem driven to make sure that people are successful while hiring global talent. In short, their passion, expertise, and unique focus have driven me to work with them.

Sagan was instrumental in helping to streamline and support onboarding new staff for our hospice agency. Time between extending and offer and onboarding is crucial in our space and Sagan helped us fill gaps through helping us source an onboarding specialist. Sagan also helped us find a billing specialist which allowed us to better handle administrative work so our team would be able to focus on patient care rather than worrying about billing issues.

We were able to onboard new employees more rapidly and avoided having candidates fall through the cracks. This allowed the team to focus more time on moving things forward rather than having to perpetually stay in the recruiting process.  Similarly for billing support, we were able to reduce time on back office work and accurately collect on revenue earned.

As a small company we needed a reliable, full-time employee to do the time-consuming lower level tasks while providing a great customer experience and valuable feedback to help us improve our processes. We required someone who already knows the industry laws and jargon in our industry, property management. The scope of work included: finding and administering vendors, leasing apartments and screening, answering phones/emails, utilizing our diverse software stack, and contributing to creating/revising SOPs. Most importantly, it has to be a personality fit.

I have hired well over a 100 people in my career, and reviewd thousands of resumes. I don't have the time to find and pre-qualify the talent we needed. Sagan lead the way for us the entire time. The team is collaborative and communicative at each step.

For example, the first three candidates presented met our criteria and had a variety of specializations  and experience levels. One was perfect on paper, but she just was not a personality fit. Sagan asked for feedback and took our responses seriously. The fourth candidate was truly awesome - just what we needed.

I joined Sagan to help me hire my Operations Coordinator. They successfully found me a very high quality candidate based in Colombia. In addition to helping me craft the job description and actually hiring the candidate, they helped me figure out the best ways to manage her and set her up for success. They help me navigate cultural differences and really set their customers up for success with their global talent. This is soemthing i knew nothing about, so it was very helpful to me. 
They have also provided me with countless trainings and valuable content that has helped me understand how to think about my business in a different way. As a new business owner, there is simply so much you do not know and Sagan really opened my eyes to ways to optimize my business. One example is they exposed me to cold calling services, which has been a game changer for my business. 
I will also be using them to hire a remote sales person and likely several other roles in the future. Sagan has been extremely valuable to me as a new business owner.

Hiring of my Operations Coordinator was very quick and seamless. They really did a good job of setting me up well for success. As it relates to the content and workshops on the Sagan platform, I have been exposed to so much and met so many new people and have so many new ideas that will be extremely valuable to my business. It will save me lots of time and money and help set me on the right track as I grow my business.
I am still a member of Sagan and still get tremendous value from their team. I am eager to work with them on hiring more global talent in the future and continue to really enjoy the content and workshops - super valuable!

Yes, for the hiring, I was assigned a hiring manager who was in constant contact about gathering all of their needed informaiton, answering any questions that I had, and was very communicative about the timing of the deliverables. The process was seamless, and I felt they were so on top of it. In fact, I think they gave me a 2-week time frame and they delivered within 1.5 weeks, so they were actually ahead of schedule.
They were caring in answering my questions. As for the content/workshops, the Sagan team and the guests are always more than willing to chat with me for longer about my business and give me great insights. I feel like I get great access to some of the highest-quality business owners around, and they are more than willing to help. The value they bring is just terrific.

Requests for recruitment were handled through forms as well as through an online community. Emails were always answered and updates were provided. Several Sagan Passport team members monitored emails and messages so there was never a lapse in communication.

The process took about 2 weeks and the results were satisfactory.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The value. You can't scale a company of any size as fast as you can with a company like Sagan Passport. 

Most offshore talent companies charge one-time fees for each hire, approximately 30-50% of the hire's annual comp. This misaligns their incentives -- support drops off until a new hire is needed and more money is exchanged. It's also expensive if you plan to hire many people. 

Sagan charges an affordable monthly fee that makes it easy to add talent without a large down payment. It costs far less than a traditional service and they provide ongoing support in the form of an entrepreneur community, educational sessions, and a team of support reps who will help with nearly any issue you're facing.
