Extremely Disappointing Experience with SaganPassport – Poor Service and Unprofessional Behavior
We had high hopes when we signed up with SaganPassport, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish. Despite providing clear hiring criteria—including specific industry experience, geographic preferences, and budget requirements—none of these were met. We received candidates with little to no relevant experience, and our request for candidates based in Europe was completely ignored. To make matters worse, candidates even dropped out of interviews unexpectedly, which was incredibly unprofessional.
Having worked with recruiters globally, we've never had such issues. SaganPassport's process felt disorganized and their ability to meet our needs was severely lacking.
The communication from Jon, the company’s co-founder, was particularly disappointing. Rather than addressing our concerns or working to find a solution, he was dismissive and came across as rude and arrogant. His approach left us feeling that SaganPassport wasn’t interested in resolving the issues they created.
Overall, the experience was deeply frustrating, and the service provided didn’t come close to what was promised. We cannot recommend SaganPassport to anyone looking for a professional, reliable recruitment partner. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

Sagan took time to understand the type of worker that I was looking for and my business needs. They then went to work on developing a comprehensive profile and starting the sourcing process. They utilized a platform to provide me with information on my prospective talent (basically an ATS) and also to provide some best practices around hiring and onboarding. They kept in constant communication. Ultimately they presented to me a slate of candidates on more than one occasion to calibrate. In each case they presented me with the profiles as well as a link to the initial screening interview. This helped to move the process along quickly without a ton of back and forth. I ended up aligning with a well qualified candidate who fit my budget requirements and starting window.

Time between extending and offer and onboarding is crucial in our space and Sagan helped us fill gaps through helping us source an onboarding specialist. Sagan also helped us find a billing specialist which allowed us to better handle administrative work so our team would be able to focus on patient care rather than worrying about billing issues.

I joined Sagan to help me hire my Operations Coordinator. They successfully found me a very high quality candidate based in Colombia. In addition to helping me craft the job description and actually hiring the candidate, they helped me figure out the best ways to manage her and set her up for success. They help me navigate cultural differences and really set their customers up for success with their global talent. This is soemthing i knew nothing about, so it was very helpful to me. They have also provided me with countless trainings and valuable content that has helped me understand how to think about my business in a different way. As a new business owner, there is simply so much you do not know and Sagan really opened my eyes to ways to optimize my business. One example is they exposed me to cold calling services, which has been a game changer for my business. I will also be using them to hire a remote sales person and likely several other roles in the future. Sagan has been extremely valuable to me as a new business owner.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Hiring of my Operations Coordinator was very quick and seamless. They really did a good job of setting me up well for success. As it relates to the content and workshops on the Sagan platform, I have been exposed to so much and met so many new people and have so many new ideas that will be extremely valuable to my business. It will save me lots of time and money and help set me on the right track as I grow my business. I am still a member of Sagan and still get tremendous value from their team. I am eager to work with them on hiring more global talent in the future and continue to really enjoy the content and workshops - super valuable!

Yes, for the hiring, I was assigned a hiring manager who was in constant contact about gathering all of their needed informaiton, answering any questions that I had, and was very communicative about the timing of the deliverables. The process was seamless, and I felt they were so on top of it. In fact, I think they gave me a 2-week time frame and they delivered within 1.5 weeks, so they were actually ahead of schedule. They were caring in answering my questions. As for the content/workshops, the Sagan team and the guests are always more than willing to chat with me for longer about my business and give me great insights. I feel like I get great access to some of the highest-quality business owners around, and they are more than willing to help. The value they bring is just terrific.

The value. You can't scale a company of any size as fast as you can with a company like Sagan Passport.

I enlisted Sagan Passport for my two most recent offshore hires. They challenged me to think of leveraging global talent in a completely different way- mainly, that there are wildly talented individuals across the globe. My first two hires were an Executive Admin and an Outbound Sales Representative. They knocked it out of the park. Laura, my Executive Assistant, lives in Bogota Colombia and has been amazing to work with. She's helping my business in so many ways. Gabe, my outbound sales rep, is highly motivated to bring value and is a quick learner. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Sagan's recruiting capabilities and will use them exclusively to source my offshore talent.
