There were few options for the service, but Rozdoum has great reputation on previous projects, good understanding of the needs, reasonable price and reliable support.

There project included a combination of consulting, development and maintenance. Rozdoum provided well-defined alternatives from technology and budget points of view, deployed the approved one in time, provided training an timely assistance.

Having single point of contact and effective communication, we did not have necessity to worry about other team members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The most important output is significant improvement in the internal efficiency of our operations, reducing redundant efforts and human errors. Besides, now we have ability to plan the workload several months ahead and balance activities accordingly.

Using JIRA and Confluence as project management, requirements and documentation, as well as regular meetings, discussions and follow ups, the whole project went smooth and stressless, delivered in time and results adopted easily.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

From the first call with Rozdoum you know that you work with professionals and experts. We did not waste any time and in most cases got better results than expected.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Rozdoum was a great partner and the only thing I want is for them to keep going!

We reviewed the doccumentation of some plugins, and Rozdoum's AREC plugin seemed to be the best candidate.

We installed the trial version of this plugin, and shortly after got a friendly email from Rozdoum where they offered help if we have any questions. It was a nice guesture. We scheduled an online meeting shortly after, where they made a great impression. They were precise, assertive and efficient. They also told us they can assist us in other Jira / Confluence related issues.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Shortly after the above meeting our Confluence stoped and refused to start again. We remembered Rozdoum and contacted them, and they did a quick and amazing job resurrecting and fixing it.

Very effective, they clearly communicated what they needed, and their response time was great.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their proactive communication and the great skills they showed in fixing our problem were really impressive. I definitely would recommend their services to my partners.

We needed a tool that provided greater visibility on projects, making information more available for everyone - clients, managers, developers, etc. We were looking for a solution that will be centralized, manageable, easily updated, and allows us to sync information between systems. Thus, we decided to find Atlassian Tools Consultant before making any decision.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our partners cooperated with Rozdoum before, and they were absolutely satisfied with their services. Therefore, the choice of the vendor was obvious.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

First, we decided to adopt and update the existing Atlassian tools such as JIRA Software, JIRA Service Desk (JSD), Confluence, and Crowd, along with JIRA add-ons like Tempo. It was necessary to understand what will be used in the future, what has to be updated or even changed or canceled. Thus, we started with the Atlassian Tools Assessment phase that helped us to make a review of the whole current infrastructure.

This stage took one week and included an introduction call, filling out a poll, analyzing and preparing the report of the infrastructure, including improvement steps and advice. The management liked the approach and made a decision to ask for Rozdoum’s help in optimizing and implementing the infrastructure improvements by requesting 60 hours of Atlassian consulting.

During the assessment phase, first, we had an introduction call with a sales manager and their Atlassian certified consultant. All other communication was direct with Rozdoum's consultant where all people from our side had constant access and could ask any related questions at any time agreed by our contract.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Rozdoum helped us to improve our code delivery performance capacity. Beyond the overall infrastructure improvements, we also gained a lot of knowledge and insight from the dedicated Atlassian expert that helped us to manage projects fast and efficiently.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There was a delivery plan that the consultant stick to and followed all the way long. We were provided with daily reports and what's next on our to-do list. Rozdoum team was very prompt with email responses, calls, and feedback. We liked their patience with our list of questions during the estimation period after our briefs. So I can say that the workflow was very effective.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Attention to detail, a high level of expertise, and flexibility are the strongest side of Rozdoum's consultants. We liked their ideas in resolving our pains and different ways of solutions, they suggested many alternatives within our budget.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, not that we can think of.

I’m the head of customer support at ELEKS, a software development company. Our services include product design, application development, QA,  and second and third-level support services for the product that we develop for our clients as well as for products we didn’t develop.

We also implement bug fixes, resolve incidents and fulfill service requests, resolve technical issues, perform maintenance for business applications, cloud infrastructure and more.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rozdoum?

Our Customer Support Team began by supporting only one external client. After 2–3 years, the number of our external customers jumped to 10+, and they were all using Atlassian products.

As a result, we needed Rozdoum’s IT and cloud consulting services in order to understand how to efficiently run our processes. We also knew that focusing on our configuration efforts would help us achieve good security and cost optimization.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the start of the project, we explained the issues that we had to Rozdoum. We also asked them for their best practices in utilizing Atlassian products and plugins. After that, they requested access to our system, and we gave them temporary accounts without access to clients data so that they could audit our product configuration. Their focus was on examining how we use the product and how we onboard our new clients. They also checked if our product was secure. 

Soon after, they came back to us with a set of recommendations on what we were doing wrong. One of the findings was that too many support engineers have the level of access that they didn’t really need. With their recommendation, we changed our security model. The team also spent time showing us how we could easily change the configuration of our third-party stakeholders, how to implement better workflow schemas, how to improve screen schemas, and more.

On top of that, they guided us on how we could increase our efficiency while decreasing our costs. Instead of using agent accounts for our external clients which cost $20 per user a month, Rozdoum proposed several plugins that we could use to solve the same issue and reach the same goal. 

Our internal team continues to implement Rozdoum’s recommendations. From time to time, we ask them questions, and they help us by identifying how we can implement the enhancements they've suggested.

We’re in contact with one person from Rozdoum. When we have meetings, two people from their team are always present. However, I’m not sure if there are more people involved from their side.

They worked with our company before, and they helped us purchase Atlassian product licenses at a discounted price because they were an Atlassian partner. When I brought up that we needed help with consulting, our company recommended Rozdoum.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing work began in March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Rozdoum’s work is perfect, and we’re absolutely happy with their work. They’re very good at examining Atlassian products, and they share helpful recommendations even if we don't ask them.

How did Rozdoum perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management process is good.  Our communication tools include Microsoft Teams, Skype, and email. Whenever we have meetings, they provide us with a short summary indicating the next steps and other issues we have to focus on. Additionally, they’re very responsive, professional, and proactive. They also answer questions that we don’t ask.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have expert knowledge when it comes to Atlassian products.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d recommend them to improve — they’re really good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend working with them if you need help with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, and Trello. They’re helpful with consulting, configuration, technical support, auditing, and anything related to using an Atlassian product.

We started with the discovery assessment phase to define requirements, analyze weak points, and understand the scope of work. After the first call and describing all our needs, Rozdoum consultants made an assessment of our current infrastructure, tools, and processes, and came back to us with a full health report and recommendations.

Some of the processes were adjusted right at the analysis stage, however, we saw a lot of steps for infrastructure optimization that require additional effort, based on this report. Thus, we decided to reorganize our code delivery processes and adjust the workflows for new apps, and delete unnecessary functionality.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The level of services corresponded to the quality and expertise, so we completely got into the planned estimates during the assessment stage. As a result, the systems' integration saves us a lot of time, and additional apps and custom add-ons now scale our capabilities, which makes it easier to maintain and support our customers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were limited in time on optimization, and Rozdum was perfectly on schedule. The consultants can work under extremely tight deadlines and solve complex problems. Sometimes we had to work in 2-sided online mode with consultants and this could last 6 hours. It was difficult but quite comfortable because people working in Rozdoum have good soft skills.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were extremely impressed with their knowledge about the capabilities of the Atlassian product line. We are impressed to notice their high level of expertise in technical details and in business processes.

I’m the CTO of a factoring and financial technologies company called BAM worldwide. We service the entire U.S. as well as a handful of foreign clients in transportation, staffing, construction, and oil and gas.

Most of our development team works out of Asia where iOS is not as commonly used. Thus, no one on our team had experience making iOS apps. As a result, we needed resources to develop our transportation app.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a transportation app that allowed truck drivers across the U.S. to directly submit bills of landing (BOL) on goods for immediate payment. With the app, our transportation customers could have their drivers automatically link their BOLs’ direct to orders to our system.

How did you select this vendor?

I met their CEO at a conference in Lisbon. From our conversations, we decided to work together.

Describe the project in detail.

I sat down with the project manager and outlined a process for the flow of the application. We then discussed what data they would need from us and pulled it for them. While we designed the API, they created the wireframes for the look, feel, and layout. Once we approved their designs and completed the API, they developed the app according to our specs.

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager, a frontend developer, and a native developer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’re currently using the app with only one of our customers, and it works as designed. We’re planning to do a slow rollout.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was very effective. They followed directions and did what they said they would do.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

When outsourcing a project, it can be difficult to find anyone with actual planning, scoping, or project management skills. They did a great job on all fronts.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nothing comes to mind in terms of mobile development. However, we wish they would offer more services. We could use the same level of work for web applications.

I’m the owner of MID, a company that develops systems for standardized modeling notations.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Rozdoum?

We’re working with a certain technology called OSLC, Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration. It was originally invented by IBM but is now open source. We want to leverage that technology to promote interoperability between Atlassian tools and other modeling tools. Our challenge is developing bidirectional traceability between Jira issues. That means traceability between artifacts like requirements, test cases, or tasks, across both tools and vendors. We’re also working against different versions of Atlassian tools and with very large customers, which means we have to make our products work in their scenarios.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rozdoum is helping us develop the Jira-related bidirectional traceability. We have developed an OSLC provider for Jira that allows us to handle this bidirectional traceability of artifacts. We do all the requirements, mockups, drawings and so on. They work on the integration using JavaScript to customize for Jira and Confluence.

The technology is pretty complex. It’s an ongoing process of figuring out how it works, how it should work, and how to implement. We don’t work to precise requirements and timelines. It’s a longer process that requires a lot of engagement to understand the technology, test, and verify—and sometimes start from scratch after we’ve built the first version.

What is the team composition?

We work with a full-time developer and a part-time architect.

How did you come to work with Rozdoum?

I’ve known the founder for 15 years. He’s well known for his knowledge in the modeling space. Around a decade ago, he developed a pretty well-known modeling tool. When I saw that his firm now specializes in Atlassian customization, I thought that could be a good combination because the company has knowledge of models, what they require, how they work, and the special challenges related to working on them.

We’ve spent about 20,000€ ($24,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2017 and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're doing something very challenging. This problem has existed for 30 years but nobody has solved it. We're trying to do that right now. It's an absolutely unique and huge challenge. We're about to finish our work but I don’t have metrics or results because we don’t have a final product.

They have provided me with some very good demo versions of the future product. They’ve delivered very good integrations and prototypes that I could show at exhibitions and conferences. Those were perceived extremely well by the audience. The overall quality—stability, performance, and that kind of thing—was very good.

How did Rozdoum perform from a project management standpoint?

It's important to us that we have a very safe work environment so we used an end-to-end encrypted collaboration platform. We also communicate via Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It's their knowledge of the whole Atlassian ecosystem. They know very well the differences between the versions. Customizing in one version is something really different than customizing in a later version. They know that very well and they are extremely engaged.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. Right now, I wouldn't have a reason to look for somebody else. They really do a good job. I'm glad to have them on the project.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I think they’re a good choice. They do a very good job. They have high standards and strong knowledge. They know how to work in large company environments like we are right now so they know how to behave in that scenario. I can only recommend to work with them.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to reduce the time and resources allocated to manually writing release notes.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We met Rozdoum at an event in Ukraine. Their leadership was extremely knowledgeable and receptive to our management principles.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

Rozdoum developed an automated process of creating release notes documents. They built an add-on that tracks ticket statuses and requires developers to fill out several obligatory fields during the release stage.

Rozdoum also made sure that every update in Jira’s release notes seamlessly integrates with the relevant Confluence page. They implemented a Confluence add-on that allows the export of release notes pages in various formats, including .csv, .pdf, and .doc.

After Rozdoum completed the release notes project, they started helping us support a Jira service desk environment. Together, we review and resolve emerging Jira system issues.

Our first project helped expedite the product release process and increase our productivity.

Rozdoum’s team leader facilitates development.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are highly effective communicators and priority setters. They are always clear about when they would be able to work on tasks. In most cases, they’ve delivered ahead of schedule.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

Having more resources would help in scaling for additional business. However, Rozdoum provides accurate time estimates, which has eliminated this issue.

BACKGROUND

I'm the CEO of a small IT consulting company. In 2015, we were asked by one of our clients to create a digital wallet to allow users to make payments between each other. We didn't have a mobile app department at the time, so we decided to work with Rozdoum, whose CEO Andrey Dekhtyar I had recently met.

We had a Cordova prototype for our app, but we had a lot of questions about the process of building and publishing a native app, which was something we'd never done before. We needed somebody to take our hand and help us deliver the product to our client. 

SOLUTION

I had met Andrey Dekhtyar by chance but decided to go with his firm after a few brainstorm meetings with his tech team. What made me decide to work with Rozdoum is the involvement they showed for the project. It was clear that they had worked on our required specifications between meetings and had understood the project's scope. They had immediate comments about what was missing in our prototype and were able to point to potential future challenges and presented good ideas on how to overcome them.

Our client's app is now in stores, but the project is still ongoing with new development. I particularly appreciated how the team at Rozdoum evolved over the 2 years we worked together; they made sharp management improvements to match the project's needs as it grew, communicated well, and were always ahead of the project with thoughtful suggestions. Even 2 years into the project, the team is still reactive and delivers a quality service.

I am an entrepreneur working on several websites and apps. This has been more of a personal project for me.

I was making an advanced real estate calculator for investments. I have worked in this field and have a master’s degree in real estate from Columbia University. It was a tool I needed on a personal level and it would be based on my knowledge. The tool is aimed at more advanced users in the real estate space for investment purposes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rozdoum provided development for Android and iOS. I made the designs using a different party. Rozdoum also developed an informational web page for the app. I have worked with a 5-person team including developers and QA people as well as a 6th sales person who was in charge of the contract.

How did you come to work with Rozdoum?

I evaluated several companies using Extract.co and eventually chose Rozdoum. They were the most professional option and had the most competitive price.

How much have you invested with Rozdoum?

The cost of their work has been between $10,000 and $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Rozdoum in May or June 2017. The app is live on the Apple store and Google Play store. We are continuing to work on a new version.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The calculator is very advanced in terms of financial logic. Rozdoum easily understood the logic I provided, which I give them kudos for. The whole project was completed in 40 days, excluding the design portion. The app has been stable.

How did Rozdoum perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated through Slack and had no barriers. The messaging was instant and their team was responsive. I am based in Kuwait so I never met the team personally.

What did you find most impressive about Rozdoum?

The delivery time was quick and Rozdoum stuck to the schedule given to me. They also took the time to understand the financial logic of the app, which was crucial. They asked questions and made sure the concept was completely understood before moving forward. The communication was good; they’re very professional, polite and respectful people.

Are there any areas Rozdoum could improve?

They could offer a more diversified set of in-house programming languages. Other than this, Rozdoum is extremely good in terms of skills, timing, and reliability.
