I’m the president of a dance organization. We have a dance studio, a membership site, a YouTube channel, run live events, and dance cruises.

What challenge were you trying to address with ROBUST SOFTECH PRIVATE LIMITED?

The main thing we wanted done is build our membership site, but over the years, they’ve helped us with all of our websites including a membership site — and basically any kind of development work that we need.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ROBUST SOFTECH has been helping us set up, host, design, and develop our websites, including implementing a payment processing system and sales optimization. Over time, I’ve started to rely on them for consultation and advice on some of our other projects, to direct me on the best ways to do it.

Most of our websites are done using WordPress, and they’ve recommended that I use Stripes as it is a popular payment processor right now. They’ve also been making suggestions on plugins, doing some design work for different sites, and are helping us with email marketing integration. They haven’t really provided us content writing, but they’ve done a little bit of on-page SEO work.

What is the team composition?

I’ve mainly been communicating with Naushad (Full Stack Developer), but there have been a couple of times where I’ve hopped on a call with a developer, whenever I had very specific questions.

How did you come to work with ROBUST SOFTECH PRIVATE LIMITED?

Upwork is where I originally met Naushad. Over time, we just developed the relationship and just continued working with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably invested around $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2016, and we’re still working together. Obviously, with the pandemic, some of our projects have slowed down so we haven’t been particularly creative. We haven’t worked much too recently, but there’s still an open line of communication.

The membership website which they began working on has turned into a six-figure business that continues to grow every year.

How did ROBUST SOFTECH PRIVATE LIMITED perform from a project management standpoint?

I love communicating with Naushad. He’s very helpful and responsive — it doesn’t feel like I’m talking to a company. I can send him a question or maybe a project proposal, and he’s going to respond thoroughly. Our relationship has always been professional, yet with a friendly twist the entire time along.

There’s no friction in our communication, and I’ve never felt that I can’t talk to them unless I pay them. We initially communicated through Upwork, but it quickly moved to Skype and email, so those two tools have taken the lion’s share of communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve always been impressed with their friendly approach, and how they’ve always been very fair with the prices. As a small business that doesn’t have the space to have a full-time developer, they’ve always been fair to get work done at a very reasonable price — even when I know it’s under market value.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. Any friction that I may have had in the beginning was from my ignorance of working with a developer.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would suggest making the partnership an interactive experience first. I’ve learned to have a discussion about the outcome I want, and ask them for the best suggestions to get the ultimate results.

The implementation of our new portal saves us a minimum of 3 -5 man hours per day of data entry, and lowered the error %
