reroDev's scope was not limited to one website or campaign. Over a three-year collaboration, they helped create a complete destination-branding and digital tourism ecosystem for Kutaisi and Imereti, combining branding, web development, mobile experiences, AR, games, editorial design, audiovisual production, graphic design and long-term digital support.

A key deliverable was the official branding of Kutaisi city. reroDev developed the city's visual identity and artistic direction around adaptable brand principles that reflected Kutaisi's cultural heritage, history and contemporary tourism positioning. 

They designed and developed Kutaisi.travel, the main digital platform for the city. The platform became a central visitor gateway, combining destination information, cultural storytelling, an events calendar, locl service provider listings, significant locations, public transportation schedules, news and digital publishing functionality.

Another major deliverable was the Kutaisi.travel mobile app, which extended the destination's digital presence into a mobile visitor experience.

reroDev lso initiated and delivered several original cultural tourism products. Odyssey: Sakutaiso was one of the most important projects:  trio of mobile games inspired by Kutaisi's history, mythology, urban identity, illustration and music. It became one of the largest digital art projects in Georgian history and helped present Kutaisi through completely new cultural format.

They also created Phantoms: Extraordinary Exhibition, a city-scale AR experience that turned Kutaisi itself into an interactive cultural exhibition. Through app's mobile camera, visitors could experience the city through history, art and augmented reality. 

The scope also included cultural and editorial projects such as Kultura!, a monthly city journal conceived and developed by reroDev's creative team, with custom-designed covers and digital-first editorial presentation.

reroDev delivered branding and visual identity work for DMO Imereti itself. They also created digital portraits of prominent Georgian public figures, posters for international celebrations, posters for Georgian national holidays and graphic design for city festivals acros Imereti. These works supported the region's cultural communication and helped create a consistent, recognizable digital voice.

Overall, rerDev provided strategy, concepts, design, development, production and maintanance. What made the collaboration especially valuable was that many of the major concepts were initiated by reroDev themselves. They didn't simply execute assigned tasks, they proposed ideas, shaped the destination narrative and delivered complete digital products that helped Kutaisi become more visible, modern, culturally distinctive and digitally advanced.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Kutaisi got multi-channel digital ecosystem which replaced fragmented local and visitor communication with one central system. Every project showed strong market performace. For example, Odyssey has 36,2% iOS App Store conversion rate; Kutaisi.travel website has 74K active users, etc. These projects received important national and international recognition too. Odyssey: Sakutaiso won the 2024 National Best Practice Award, received second place for Best Mobile Game at CEEGA 2024 and was nominated as finalist for the BLON 2025 Aware Games Award. Phantoms: Extraordinary Exhibition won the 2025 National Best Practice Award. These recognitions confirmed originality, quality and cultural value of reroDev's and our work, showing that the projects were impactful not only for Kutaisi locally, but also within broader tourism, cultural innovation and digital experience contexts.

Overall, reroDev delivered long-term public-facing digital assets for Kutaisi, improved city's digital infrastructure, created award-winning tourism products and helped Kutaisi position as a more innovative, culturally rich and digitally advanced destination.

reroDev managed the collaboration very well across a long-term, multi-project scope. They were responsive, flexible, and able to move between strategy, design, development, and production without losing momentum. Key deliverables were completed reliably, and when projects required changes or iteration, their team reacted quickly and solved issues professionally. Their communication was clear, and they remained highly committed to Kutaisi’s success throughout the collaboration.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What was most impressive was that reroD did not act only as an execution agency. They initiated many of the core ideas themselves and turned them into complete, public-facing digital products. Their ability to combine destination branding, cultural storytelling, software development, AR, games, design and audiovisual production in one connected ecosystem was unique and extremely valuable for Kutaisi. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something reroDev. could have done differently?

There were no major areas for improvement. The collaboration was ambitious and included many different types of work, so some projects naturally required close coordination and iteration. However, reroDev remained responsive, flexible, and solution-oriented throughout the process, and they consistently showed strong commitment to the quality and long-term value of the work.

This included ongoing technical support, system optimization, and improvements to enhance the overall reading experience.

On the creative side, Rero led the visual design of Mdevari’s monthly issues and individual article covers. Each cover was conceptually developed in alignment with the published content, contributing to a cohesive and recognizable visual identity.

In addition, the number of Mdevari’s subscribers (both via email and across social media platforms) continues to grow. The cover designs are also widely appreciated, significantly enhancing interest in the published content and contributing to higher engagement with each issue.

This was followed by the design and production of custom animations, incorporating original visual elements, motion graphics, and transitions tailored to the series.

In parallel, the team developed the audio component, including an original theme track and sound design that complements the visuals and enhances the overall impact of the opening.

The animated opening sequence played a key role in shaping the identity of the series from its very first episode. It helped establish a strong and cohesive tone early on, making the content feel polished, intentional, and professionally produced from launch.

The intro contributed to strong first impressions, capturing audience attention immediately and encouraging viewers to stay engaged from the beginning of each episode. It also created a clear and memorable brand identity, making the series more recognizable across platforms. The YouTube metrics show that a large number of viewers kept watching the video after the opening sequence, which demonstrates how effective it is. 

We received positive feedback from both viewers and stakeholders, specifically highlighting the quality of the opening and how well it complements the overall concept of the series. Internally, it also set a high creative standard for the rest of the production.

Overall, the success of the project is reflected in the strong initial reception of the series, improved audience engagement from the outset, and a distinctive, memorable visual and audio identity.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most about reroDev. was their ability to act as a true, full-service digital art studio, flawlessly executing both the audio and visual components of our broadcast's opening. Often, you have to hire separate agencies for music production and animation, but reroDev handled both brilliantly under one roof. The unique, stop-motion watercolor aesthetic they developed is visually striking - blending gritty, atmospheric elements with beautiful, flowing colors. Furthermore, the way they synchronized this highly original visual style with the driving, energetic custom theme song they produced was masterful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something reroDev. could have done differently?

I genuinely don't have any major areas for improvement; reroDev exceeded our expectations. If I had to offer advice to future clients, it would simply be to trust their creative process. Because their art style is so unique and layered, it might be hard to visualize the final product during the early storyboard phases. Just give them the creative freedom they need, and they will deliver something spectacular.
