""We appreciate their high skill set, high commitment, and great company culture.""

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm an the Head of Applications Development within Digital Development at Grundfos. Grundfos is the world's biggest manufacturer of pumps.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire RebelDot?

We hired RebelDot as a partner in boosting our digital strategy of developing multiple digital IoT offerings within all of our four customers segments. They have been working on equal terms as our internal teams, sometimes as a supplementary team, other times as the main team.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Through a extensive selection process of first country, city and company, we found that RebelDot matched the competence level, flexibility, cost and culture the best. Multiple companies bigger and older than RebelDot were in the process, but having the right culture to move stuff fast was key.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

RebelDot has helping us on numerous projects, from creating a service portal to handle multiple IoT devices/assets, to consumer native apps (pumps in private homes) and digital offerings to interface with larger industrial systems.

They have taken part in any stage of the projects, that our internal teams would have. E.g. requirements breakdown, design, development, test, deployment, customer feedback etc.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have had multiple developers (native/frontend/backend), designers, testers and scrum-masters engaged during the past year or so. Positions has been from juniors to seniors/leads. At the highest, we had an engagement of 20 - 25 FTEs.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

For the larger majority of projects, the outcome has been super good. It has been a learning journey also on our end, to ensure the right conditions in order to get the best flow. Engagement and close collaboration with mutual respect is key.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The teams have had daily calls (stand-up) with relevant stakeholders, e.g. Product Owner. Demos etc has been held post every sprint (2 weeks). All in all, a effective workflow, where any/most challenges has been addressed in planned meetings at appropriate level.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciate their high skill set, high commitment, and great company culture.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

An area of improvement (on both sides) would be to identify/define a better introduction to relevant stakeholder teams e.g. platform/enablement team, of which the RebelDot team(s) had dependencies to - in order to ensure a connection from the beginning.

## Portfolio & Awards

### A maritime app for ship to shore data solutions
Developing a maritime application for a leading manufacturer of Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) and ship-to-shore data solutions. This project leverages our technical expertise and innovative approach, aiming to provide robust, user-friendly, and technologically advanced tools for maritime operations.
The project:
Danelec Marine develops technologies to optimize the safety, cost and performance of marine operations.
Based outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, the company is a leading manufacturer of Voyage Data Recorders (VDR), Electronic Chart Display &Information Systems (ECDIS) and ship-2-shore data solutions, with maritime apps installed on more than 6,000 vessels worldwide.
As a leading Voyage Data Recorder (VDR) manufacturer, Danelec Marine wanted to build a maritime app that enables ship managers to quickly identify issues and failures, monitor vessel KPIs, and integrate third-party data analytics to continuously improve their fleet and assets.
Our approach:
Following an Agile approach, we started dosing development work into weekly sprints, allowing the product team to quickly respond to any changes and reach the market in a timely manner.
We initiated this project with a small team, working on the user experience and the technical improvements for the existing Danelec maritime app.

The collaboration kicked off with assessing the need and with a deep dive into the Danelec business, making sure to get a clear understanding of their goals.

### Accelerating digital development for Grundfos
Grundfos is a global company operating in over 60 countries, dedicated to providing water access and driving initiatives related to water and energy. To enhance their digital development efforts and work towards a global impact, they sought a technical partner to help expedite their digital projects and achieve their vision of positive global change.

### Streamlining workflows among maintenance experts
Building on top of a property tech platform for thousands of B2B companies in the US

DMG embarked on upgrading its existing web platform, focusing on the unique demands of users like electricians and plumbers. The aim was to streamline workflows for increased productivity and reduced margins and cycle times. This initiative underscores DMG's commitment to innovation, user needs, and enhanced service delivery.

The challenge

DMG approached us for support in new product development, specifically to enhance its already existing platform, DMG Pro. The aim was to incorporate routine work into the tool to reduce manual efforts in contract, agreement and fulfillment workflows, and in turn, optimize margins and cycle times.

The task required us to swiftly assemble a cross-functional remote team and establish a consultative working process to efficiently support the Product Owner in requirement definition. As the team mainly tackled production issues and client-suggested enhancements, an additional challenge was to appropriately prioritize tasks.

The strategy

By establishing trust and open communication, a seamless collaboration environment was created. Our self-sufficient frontend, backend, and QA team embraced the tech stack, crafting a web app to automate tasks from property management to work scheduling. We were receptive to DMG’s way of working and vice-versa which culminated into quality output on both sides.

### Building an independent and safe space for health
When the Carecircle team approached us, they had a vision for their platform, but they needed expert assistance. This case study reveals how we navigated the exciting journey of frontend development across web and mobile platforms, intertwined with product design and quality assurance, ultimately bringing the Carecircle concept to life.
The project
Carecircle, hailing from Switzerland, is a visionary platform built by technologists and scientists to empower individuals with control over their health data. This research-based innovation, forged by a team with academic roots at prestigious institutions like Cambridge, Harvard, WHO, and ETH Zurich, combines advanced technology and scientific insights to deliver a safe digital space focused on health and well-being.
The strategy
Our strategy for Carecircle revolved around agile methodologies, leveraging existing architecture, and a mobile-first approach. We tapped into our existing skills and resources to enhance the web and mobile frontends, seamlessly transitioning from responsive web to native mobile. This strategic move, coupled with our commitment to integrating user feedback, enabled the rapid scaling of the project to meet the needs of a growing global user base.
Web Development
We entered the project having already kick-started, as a series of advanced wireframes were in place, which we then expanded.
Since the already existing platform was based on a Microsoft Azure architecture, our engineers were tasked with deploying .NET / Azure PaaS skills, as well as developing the front end of both the web and mobile platform.

### Nova Power and Gas | Bill Management App
Nova Power & Gas, a key power and gas provider in Romania wanted to digitalize its services offering and articulate a more convenient and seamless experience to the clients it has been serving since 2007.
The idea was to design and develop a user-friendly app that people could access to carry out tasks like accessing their utility bills, paying them, or sending their indexes, without the hassle of travelling to the physical offices or the high levels of bureaucracy that come with that.
They contacted us to redesign the interface of the already existing web app and cover the end-to-end development of the mobile platform.
Because momentum was key in migrating the business to the online environment, we had to deliver on a strict deadline.
The challenge was not conforming to it, having already cultivated an efficiency-oriented work ethic internally, but synchronizing with the 3rd party API, in charge of the backend development, to maintain the pace we set to keep initially.
Knowing that we had to bring both the client and the 3rd party collaborator on the same rhythm as ours, we took a proactive approach to structuring the workload in weekly sprints, enforcing our internal agile mindset externally. In doing so, we have provided consultancy throughout the entire product development process, creating an environment that stimulated dynamic teamwork between all the 3 parties involved in the project.

### InteroCloud - CRM for Healthcare Facilities
InteroCloud Management is a management software provider for healthcare facilities. They contacted us to develop a white-label platform used in medical institutions.
For a private medical clinic, choosing the right management software is a weighty decision. The reason being the variety of useful tools that it includes to support doctors in managing patient appointments and have a smooth-running workflow.
Although initially designed for private clinics, we had to pivot InterCloud and design it as a white label system that can be used by different healthcare organizations.

### 2Park - IoT app for parking management and payment

2Park is a mobile application that allows users to optimize the automated access to their parking and control who enters your parking.

### DRD - Healtchcare & Telemedicine
The DRD team reached us in 2020 to carry on their development efforts. The problem was that the current app’s architecture did not support any scalability.
The long-term plan was to recycle the old solution and develop a new architecture that supported the further scalability of the platform.
This implied that we had to build a new independent solution that was going to bridge the already existent one and allow the app to support more features.
The challenge was merging two different code bases into a new mobile app that would run on both iOS and Android.
